My stay at SmartFlat was less than ideal. The absence of an elevator on the 4th floor made lugging heavy bags a chore, and the cleanliness of the apartment left much to be desired. To add to the disappointment, I had to pay a 100 euro deposit for the door code, with the promise of a refund by September 10. It's now October 20, and I'm still awaiting that refund despite reaching out to the owner. Proceed with caution when considering SmartFlat.

Never again with this company! The heating and warm water didn't work, they were not able to solve the issue, agreed to let us leave early and promised to repay the money. One month later, we still haven't received the money back and they are not reacting anymore.

We were without hot water for our whole stay, October 2-6, 2023. Until Thursday 5th, someone sent an email saying the water heater won’t be fixed anytime soon. There was no WiFi in the apartment either. The place was not clean, specially the bathroom, the toilet bowl was stained which gave a feel for being not cleaned properly. The pillows were super tiny, like cushions and very flat. We had to boil water to try to kind of clean ourselves a little. The location is great, only a couple blocks from central station. Very disappointed

A DUMP. Motto of the place: fleece unsuspecting tourists and business travellers of as much of their money as possible for the smallest possible investment. See photos and judge for yourself. No light at the entrance so almost impossible to enter the impossibly long entry code (more than 10 digits? Really?); laundry baskets in hallway after working hours, multiple lights in staircase broken, floor carpet on all floors filled with big stains from paint and what not, two spot lights in bathroom broken, no toilet seat, broken bin cover, very dirty sofa (which is surely why it was covered with a dingy bed sheet), matras of bed far too soft with totally wornout springs....

Worst experience ever! The flat was old and dirty . The bed was broken so we couldn’t sleep in the apartment. Besides having to call for hours and hours , we were treated very badly on the phone . In the end we had to book a new hotel and were not refunded. This location is a scam and you should never book a smartflat.

The single worst experience of any accommodation in my life. Staying here with my son it had no heating (in winter) no hot water the to was smashed and a host of other issues. Was told that their “technical team” weren’t available and to wait. This last for four days. It’s clearly a scam hotel. I would never use this organisation again under any circumstances. If they went out of business tomorrow it would be best for humanity. They do not care about their guests on any level

Credit card fraudsters, beware of Smartflats: Booked in January at stay with in April. Had to cancel my booking at the beginning of March, which Smartflats confirmed. Still till today, 7 June, my advance payment had not been reimbursed by Smartflats. They are simply gangsters. TO THE OWNERS REPLY OF "...send an email...": I HAD ALREADY SEND 6 (six) EMAILs, ALL PROPERLY NAMED "reminder 1, reminder 2, reminder 3...". STILL NO REFUND, EXCEPT THE OCCASIONAL "...we are working on it...". RECALL: CHARGING THE CREDIT CARD WAS FULLY DONE BY SMARTFLATS IN 1(one) DAY. A DUE REIMBURSED DOES NOT COME FORWARD FROM SMARTFLATS, EVEN AFTER 6 (six) MONTHS !!! My deposit, taken-off by Smartflats from my credit card in January, has now been forcibly recovered by the credit card company. It remains: Smartflats is a GANGSTER company = to be avoided !

The whole concept is great, the apartment is very spacious, the kitchen has EVERYTHING you need. I bit dusty in the bedroom below the bed, but overall clean. The open shower is wide, very comfortable. The location is perfect, you can walk anywhere in the city center. The only bad thing is that there was a terrible cigarette smell in the hallway and the bathroom had a smell of sewage. We should have called and maybe we would have gotten it fixed, ask about this before making a reservation. The staff in the office is very friendly. Apart from the smell it's perfect

This was our first time staying in smartflats and we can't recommend this place enough! Beautiful modern flats! Located in less than 100m from bus stop, 500m from Bruxelles-Central, and surrounded by several chocolate shops (Neuhaus, Godiva, Pierre Marcolini, and Leonidas). It has small but functional elevator. If you stay in 2/3 bedrooms flats you'll get the whole floor for yourself. Our 2 bedrooms flat can easily accommodate up to 7 persons, although it was stated that up to 12 persons is still possible.

Good points - location is great, view out of the window is lovely and it’s a short walk to the city centre and museums. Bed is large and comfortable. Lots of nice local places to eat. Bad points - Door entry system is a little confusing, but we called to speak to someone who was helpful and sorted out the minor issue quickly. The apartment was fully fitted out, but was tired. The bathroom had been cleaned, but needed a deeper clean, there were spots on the floor and walls. The shower leaked when you used it, it looks as if it has been like this for ages, guessing by the staining on the bath panel. The sofa was beyond cleaning, stained, smelly and damaged, it just needed to be replaced. One of the dining stools was broken, it had been dropped by a guest. Other things, you only get one very basic thin pillow, 2 teabags/coffee pods, this didn’t make a great welcome and made the place feel a bit basic. The front door glass had been smashed and boarded up (some time ago) the stairs were too dark (mentioned by others) they had installed a fancy light, but it just wasn’t bright enough to cast light down the staircase. I used my phones torch to get up and down, as there isn’t any natural light in the stairwell. I emailed Smartflats to see what they thought about the issues we had, I have given them 10 days, but they haven’t come back to me. There wasn’t anything bad enough to complain about, but the whole place was tired and basic. I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend it.

Location is great, cleaning good and furniture has some damage here and there. I give one star to this location because the company operating this business is charging a warranty to be paid on their own website which they say they refund it after leaving the property. In my case, after several messages & emails they do not answer back nor refund the warranty. So be aware about this when booking this property!!!

dirty and smelly , we were given the top floor and they have no AC , it was extremely hot. Bathroom was dirty and even had some white insects running around. Not at all good place for the price we pay. Don’t look at the pictures, the property is not at all like pictures

I didn't enjoy it. Lights in the hallway were out and made things pitch black. Elevator stopped while I was in it and our shower had no shampoo. Just a community bottle of three in one. An outlet was out and the oven was panel was broken. I will choose a hotel next time.

Location: excellent. Apartment size and styling: very nice Elevator: not working properly, having problems and poorly maintained. Very bad smoking odor. A/C: does not work! It doesn't cool anything! Service: over the phone, but good for nothing (not able to solve anything, both before and during our stay). Policies: the worst I've seen on any company during Covid. They are the ONLY company that I've worked with that didn't extend their voucher enough (out of 15+ other companies). I ended up paying double for my stay. I do NOT recommend staying with them.

Great flats! I would ask to tin the glass doors to the bedroom. Privacy and blackout the lights.

Hi - I live next door to this place (great location)! May I ask people who book this place to kindly keep down the musik/singing/partying and the volume of certain other activities? The walls are not thick enough to cover the noise! Thanks ;)

This was a very bad experience and I would not recommend anyone to stay at Smartflats in Brussels. Also impossible communication wise. After many hours on the phone (due to the broken bed), we had to book another hotel and did not receive any refund. The days after they do not respond anymore. Would definitely recommend to book anything else to enjoy a visit to Brussels.
