I travel for work, and I enjoy certain amenities. I was expecting to check in at what looks like a wonderful hotel and was told at the front desk that they made a mistake and they overbooked, but that the owner has another hotel that I could go to. They handed me an envelope saying that this is for your inconvenience. I inquired about the other hotel, and they told me that they don’t know anything about the other hotel. I then proceeded to the other hotel, and I inquired about the price difference because it was very obvious that this definitely was not the Hilton that I was initially thinking that I was going to check into. The clerk at this facility also stated they didn’t know what the price was going to be charged, so I checked in. I contacted my bank and they told me that the Hilton has charge me the price that was quoted for the initial hotel that I reserved. I was very upset because this is not a three star hotel and this did not have the amenities that I was looking for. I tried to contact the manager over the past three days to no avail. I’ve also contacted Hilton‘s customer service, and the manager/owner of this hotel that originally tried to check into has lied and told them that the envelope that contained a gift certificate for a restaurant was my compensation for the difference of the two hotels! She is or she is a complete liar because I was told that this is for my inconvenience. Not a difference in the pay of the hotel because if it was, I should’ve been presented with that option. Also, the compensation difference is a whopping $87 and the gift certificate is not $87 is significantly less. This is bad business. This is fraud and I’m going to keep complaining and I’m going to keep reporting this issue to any and everyone to include my bank and be in business bureau as well because they are not even giving me the courtesy of talking to me on the phone I have left my phone number on numerous occasions. I’ve contacted them on numerous occasions and no one is responding to me.

Cleanliness of this hotel is going down quickly. After staying here for the last three years at different times. The last few stays between have revealed a carelessness in cleaning the bathrooms, changing sheets, dusting and the shower doors, forget about it. We initially booked one night needed another night. But decided to choose another hotel. To add insult to injury excuses seem to be the order of the day. From the color of the cleaning solution to oh that dirt is only on the side of the shower. Will look to corporate for solutions because addressing on site management is a moot point. Disappointed Diamond member.

As others have said this is a great place to stay. I have a student at the nearby college and this hotel was easy to locate and is very pet friendly without looking run down as most per friendly chains are. A dog park is less than 2 miles away with plenty of room for your dog to run around. Breakfast was pretty good a few more vegan options or non dairy would be great but very nice setup and friendly staff to greet you at breakfast. The rooms are very spacious I had double beds and the most comfortable pull out couch I've ever slept on which was shocking. Full size fridge plates cups glasses full sets of silverware and a dishwasher only thing missing is a stove which they will give you a portable one if you ask. Great place will be booking my stays here when I visit.

I checked around 10pm after driving from Buffalo with my dog and wife. We got a bag of popcorn from the hotel market and went to our room. Our dog found pretzels on the floor from the previous guest. Then my wife noticed what appeared to be blood smeared on the bathroom light switch, also the same substance was on the room light switch. Being disgusted by this uncleanliness and being late we decided to tell the front desk in the morning. They gave us a new room which was clean but being there on business we had to rush around to move. They offered no apologies either. The breakfast was good and location was perfect. Hotel is very pet friendly with room to walk your pet. Upon checkout we were charged the $1 for popcorn and the pet fee. I felt they should have given some type of credit for the dirty room. We stay only at Hilton hotels and were disappointed by this one.

The staff was rude. The rooms were absolutely disgusting. I mean it was absolutely filthy. My shower wall was filled with somebody else’s hair. The shower floor had a used razor cap. The floors were stained and dirty. I looked under the vent… disgusting. There was another person’s socks still on the floor. So much trash under the vent. The microwave buttons were greasy and gross. I mean it was a horrible stay. They say that the rooms are clean, but it was the exact opposite. I also had 2 different staff members have an attitude. I asked for an extra key card…I got attitude. Another staff member was just mean for no reason. This hotel was one of the worst I’ve been to in a long time.

This was by far the worst stay I have ever had at a Hilton property. If there was something below 1 star, I would certainly give that rating. The problems related to cleanliness and customer service. Here is a summary of the issues: I checked in and was not offered the water given to Hilton Honors members I got to my room and as I always do, I checked the bed for bed bugs. No bugs, but the area between the mattress, box spring and headboard was filthy - hair, debris, food product, AND a pair of black panties. There was also a disposable lighter laying on the floor. This made me question whether the room had been cleaned at all. I tried to use the phone, but it was not working. I walked down to the desk and asked for a new room, explaining the issues. The clerk acted annoyed. She never appeared to be shocked or even apologized. She gave me a new room. I went to the second room and again checked the bed. This was even more filthy than the first room. There was also a wet washcloth hanging on the shower head nozzle. Again, I question whether the room had been cleaned. I did not ask for a new room, thinking how annoyed the clerk was the first time. But, I didn't feel clean in that room at all. When I checked out the next morning, the clerk there at that time did not ask about my stay or whether I was satisfied. This was a terrible experience.

If you’ve been to a Home two suites before, it’s just like the other one but a little bit nicer than some. The amenities are new and it smells good and clean. The front desk staff were all friendlier than average and I thought everybody was nice that I interacted with. The breakfasts are decent. They’re the same as at the other Home2 suites. I don’t like the bedding at Home2 suites. I’m used to the Hyatt down comforters and my own down comforter at home. I was pretty disappointed that I specifically booked a hotel using an indoor poor pool filter and their pool was completely shut down. How difficult is it to change the filter when you close your pool down? It can’t be that hard. I was also pretty disappointed that I was locked out of my room when I went back to get my luggage after taking my dogs out. It was right at 12. All the other hotels and have a check out at a certain time give you a window. There’s been a lot of times when I’ve gone back from my second load 10 minutes after the checkout time and I’ve never been locked out right on the minute I was supposed to be checked out before. That’s not a very good way to make people feel welcomed and appreciated.

Lovely suite that is very spacious for an extended visit. It is pet friendly, which was important to me. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. When I had a problem with a door, someone came shortly thereafter to show me how it works!

My husband and I have been staying here for an extended stay after damage to our home. Everyone has been so nice and friendly. Heather at the front desk makes sure guests feel very welcome. Housekeeping does an excellent job. I have our dog with us and it has been so easy. If you are trying to decide, look no further. You have found the perfect place to stay for you and your furry friend!

We come to Cleveland to visit family two to 3 times a year, and this is our new favorite place to say when visiting. In my opinion, this hotel basically offers a few things that my family looks for in a hotel. We like... suite type of setting with a sofa/sleeper, a breakfast in the morning, and a pool. Rooms have a Half size refrigerator for leftovers after eating out, which is a big plus, and the kitchen area with a microwave and kitchen utensils is a nice touch. Whenever coming back to the hotel, I noticed that it always looks and smells clean. All the staff is friendly and helpful. I feel that the pool area is really nice it's not big but it's nice, tables and lounge chairs are available. The breakfast is nice, offering some hot foods, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee juices, and water. Also, nice workout room and laundry area. I really enjoy staying here at Home2 Suites in Cleveland.

Multiple problems here with housekeeping, Wi-Fi, shower and no help or response from management. On one morning I left a trash can outside my room for housekeeping to take the trash without going into my room. When I returned it was outside my room with a new empty trash bag which is great. The following day I did the same thing. However this time, in spite of the fact that I had put a do not disturb sign on the door, they went into the room and put the trash can back. They had left a light on in the bathroom. I went into the bathroom and was horrified to see that they had taken a couple bags of my things which included toiletries and medicines. I spoke to a supervisor the next day who said she would speak to the general manager. I had also sent an email to the general manager, however so far I have not heard anything. This is not acceptable. They need to find out who is responsible for this. They seem incompetent and if they don't know how to do their job and steal from guests then maybe they shouldn't be working there. The Wi-Fi will not connect properly on Chromebooks and gives errors when trying to connect through a regular laptop or phone. It can take multiple attempts to connect before it maybe finally does. In the bathroom the ceiling vent was half covered with lint, and the shower has barely any water pressure.

I cannot find anything to complain about with our 2 night stay here. We came to the area for Cleveland Clinic appointments and it was very easy to find our way to and from. Hotel staff accomodated all of our requests. Room was clean, floor was quiet. I liked the check in process on the app that let me pick my own room. The system on the TV was a little slow with the On Demand feature but it had a huge selection. If we have to come back up, I'll probably stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights with my family. I renewed for 2 nights . In the 2nd day they told that I didnt have a reservation for that day even though i booked directly with the front desk attendant. An employee told me to wait and they would call me because his manager was in a meeting . I waited for almost 2 hours and then finally went downstairs to talk to someone. The meeting had just ended and at that point Cassandra told me that she had overbooked the hotel and didnt not have any rooms available. She said that they didnt have that 2nd day on my reservation and that there is nothing she can do but I needed to leave immediately. I was in complete shock and i went upstairs to pack my things with no where to go. I then called customer service while packing explaining the situation and they transferred me back to the hotel. I then asked Cassandra why if the hotel is overbooked and I spoke face to face with an employee that booked my room was I the one being asked to leave not the other reservations . I said this is not right and she then told me look I dont know what to tell you but you need to be out in 15 minutes or I will call Middleburg police. I said you are threatening me with the police ? She said yes and when you leave do not ever come back. So I was kicked out, threatened to call the police and then asked not to come back all because their employee did not make the reservation ? Ive never been treated like this in my life. I was not combative with this woman at all, i didnt raise my voice , cuss , call names..nothing to warrant this treatment . She gave me 15 minutes to clear a hotel room of all my belongings for days up and down flights of steps by myself with severe asthma. I am sick to my stomach as a Hilton Honors guest member I was treated this disgusting . I made a complaint with guest services and they basically told me nothing would be done because she is the gm and all complaints go to her. Way to go Hilton. Great system you have set up there. I will never waste another dollar with that company again .

This is a nice "by the airport" place to stay. The area isn't scenic and there is no view. The rooms are clean and big. My only complaint is the low water pressure for the shower (412). The staff were all very polite and helpful.

Only about 10 mins from the airport and surrounded by plenty of dining options, gas stations, close to shopping, and great highway access to get to downtown. This was a good place to stay. The only thing I was mildly disappointed about was the breakfast feeling like it could have been a little better, but it was free so my complaints on that are trivial I suppose. Otherwise I was happy with the hotel overall. Would stay there again.

Dog pee and noise! But will be back. We stayed just one night, Saturday. Had two rooms… One of them reeked of dog/cat urine. The other smelled fresh. The room itself was otherwise clean, breakfast was great… The staff was overall decent. The person checking me in Saturday afternoon was a bit short/rude, but the person (Heather) on Sunday morning was great. The floor was crazy loud Saturday night with partying families, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault. Sunday morning the same crew was ridiculously loud/messy at breakfast. They trashed the whole scene, left a mess, and dodged. The staff handled it really well. I’d stay again, just didn’t personally get sleep or have a great night or morning. Not the hotel’s fault per se.

If there was a zero that would be the ratting. Upon checking in room 110 ground floor we experienced very strong unbearable odor (either mold or something else). Front desk receptionist was told that sleeping in such room is not only a health hazard but also impossible. The receptionist mentioned that they can’t do anything. We were told that we will have to wait until Monday to speak to the manager. A simple air fresher spray was offered to reduce the smell which would not do anything to such a smell. We booked the room for two nights and got zero refund for not even staying at the room that was inhabitable and a health risk to stay in. All details were communicated with the manager on Monday but they were not understanding at all and would not do anything and charged us for the whole stay. Please do not bother booking here if you are looking for cleanliness, professionalism, or a nice night stay!

In general the room was clean/tidy, but I’m rather particular about other peoples hair still on the sheets and in the bathroom after it’s been “cleaned.” After finding a lot of hairs in my room, I asked to switch rooms and had no difficulty getting a different room, but the exact same problems existed in the new room. I found hairs in the bathroom of both rooms, with an entire soap dispenser removed from the wall. You can see in the picture how it was left in the shower. Hairs were in both beds in both rooms. I understand some might not make their way out in the wash, but finding upwards of 10 hairs, tells me sheets aren’t being washed at all, beds are just being made without changing the linens.

I have spent A LOT of nights in hotels for work & travel. This happened to be my fifth stay at this particular hotel. This stay was so terrible, I would say it was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I checked into the hotel & couldn’t wait to take a shower . . . Except there wasn’t any hot water when I turned on the shower. The front desk said they would have someone work on the issue, but they didn’t until two days later. The only solution was to shower at Planet Fitness (thankfully there was one in the area). I checked in on a Friday night with my 2 REGISTERED service animals & was told they did not need to see any documentation. Apparently that wasn’t true since I was charged for both of them. Another issue was the hotel had people drilling right outside of my room at 7am on Saturday AND Monday morning because the flooring was getting replaced. I am 8 months pregnant so sleep is difficult to begin with & having people making so much noise at 7am was ridiculous. To top it off, my partner & I went to eat breakfast down in the lobby and the people working that station decided to shut the lights totally off 8 minutes before the cut off time. Everything about this stay was horrific & I have never had so many inconveniences in one visit at a hotel, especially one who did not provide ANY solution. I called the Diamond Desk & as I was on the phone with a representative, someone from the hotel put in the notes FALSE information about my service dogs & made the disgusting comment that they “didn’t look like service animals”. They also said both service animals are pit bulls . . . Not that it should matter, but they are not — one is a a Basenji/chihuahua mix & the other is an Australian cattle dog. I have repeatedly tried to have someone from the hotel contact me but they will not address this situation, which further proves they’re aware of the issue. I hope nobody else has to deal with these horrible situations like we did.

We originally went to a less than desirable inn down the street but after viewing the room turned around walked out and came to Home 2. They were able to accommodate us immediately and the hotel was beautiful, very clean and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Not impressed! The shower curtain had a stain that looked like dried blood. Our microwave didn't work at all, when we told them their only answer was "is it plugged in?" Seriously?! The pool was closed and we couldn't use it at all! When I asked about it, the person at the desk didn't even know!!! Had they told me that when I booked it just the day before, I would have gone somewhere else!! When I brought my issues to their attention, the mgr was on a call and couldn't come talk to me. I told them I wasn't going anywhere until I spoke to her. Finally about 15 minutes later she came out While she was nice, she did nothing to accommodate us. She offered us 10,000 points. I wasn't happy with that at all. She told me that was all she could do and that I would have to wait for the owner to come home from out of town and talk to him. STILL WAITING for his call and this was almost a month ago! Meanwhile, there is a huge sign that promises satisfaction or the night is on them. LIES!! DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Total dissapointment in this Hilton property. Checked in last night via the Hilton mobile app. The door key function wasn't woring properly so I visited the front desk to get a hard key. All I was asked was for was my room number. No ID or name was confirmed. As a solo business traveler or any traveler this is like the biggest red flag and I will never stay at this property again soley for that reason. Other let down is the door doesn't properly close. Pair that with the room key issue and I am glad I travel with a separate door safety lock. Couch that is in the room needs to be replaced or deep cleaned as it is very soiled. I have seen clearner couches in Vegas. Bed has deep indents on each side where you would think this was a bed from a 600 lb couples room - not the most comfortable even tried sleeping in the middle. Shower - pressure is non existent so if you have thick hair you are going to take a while. The shower head is fine but the shower wand has some mold going on. Breakfast - plates were all types of dirty and you needed to make sure you checked before moving on. But thats ok they had no options for anyone that has a dairy allergy other than plain bread. Other Home2 Suites had at the bare minimum soy or oat milk so you could at least eat cereal. I just stayed at another one this week in Sarasota and they had multiple options that were dairy free other than oatmeal. Which the oatmeal here looked like it was made last week and they have just been reheating it.

Our stay was so wonderful. From the very warm welcome, to the warm & clean pool, the breakfast was great, the service was incredible, all of the staff were so kind and helpful!! Our room was VERY clean, comfortable and quite spacious ... Oh and did I mention quiet?? I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, I look forward to returning sometime!

The room was clean enough, no odors or gross stuff, just smudges on the mirrors and appliances. The pool looked nice from outside the pool room, there were about 1000 kids in there so I avoided it mostly. Andrea was GREAT! Breakfast was GREAT! The parking wasn't the best because the hotel was sold out and we had to park at the back, but that's a given during graduation season. The floors were a little sticky too, so bring slippers or socks. The shower has built in Neutrogena shampoo and they have makeup wipes. Please, if you're staying at any hotel, take the time to strip your beds and put your towels in a pile just like if you were at home. These people work hard and it's really the least you could do.

1 of best hotels I've stayed. Very spacious rooms, great customer service and staff that will go above and beyond for the guests. Breakfast was amazing for adults and kids. Can't wait to go backbto Cleveland to just stay here again.

Overall, hotel and rooms were nice. But employees lacked friendliness and some basics on customer service that made the stay less than desired. Made to feel unwelcome and a bother to them. Noticed some on their cell phones and/or sitting at tables eating.

Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Amaaaazing shower!! Very clean and quiet. Great location in town and very friendly staff! The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the microwave didn't work. But we were so pleased with everything else we just made the decision to not use the microwave.

Staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, room was really nice including a bigger tv, kitchen with fridge and dishwasher and a really nice bathroom with a big shower and great water pressure (i have curly hair so it matters.) Also, the pool was really nice along with the little outside sitting area with the fireplace and the gym was kept really clean and organized. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The rooms were very nice and clean, spacious, friendly staff and the breakfast had eggs omelets, breakfast sandwich, waffles, oatmeal..and more. We have stayed in other hotels in the Cleveland area that smelled musty. We definely will be our go to Home 2 stay in future hotels stays.

This property was a rough one. I think it doesn’t help it seems a little older. Very close to the airport so plus there. Staff super friendly. Main problem was unsure of cleanliness as found hairs on towels in the bathroom and shower and room smelled weird. The bathroom door lock was broken so it didn’t close all the way. Overall, probably would skip this one next time. There are plenty of other places in the area.

Don’t bring pets here. They added almost $400 in extra charges because of pet hair even. It’s very obvious they only allow pets because Hilton is forcing them to based on their branding. I’ve stayed probably 20 nights with my dogs this year alone and have never had even a peep about there being a problem

This hotel is well-equipped for a fun relaxing time. Plenty of places for friends and family to spend time around a fire pit. Or inside there is plenty of room to congregate also. They have board games and a stocked snack area. What impressed the most is how well the rooms are laid out with ample room to sit and enjoy time together. The lighting in the bathroom is unmatched. Nice shower, vanity, comfort height toilet and ample space to dress.

The hotel was nice but in our room the carpet was completely wet, couldn’t even walk on it barefoot (or in socks without them getting soaked). Besides that little issue everything else was very nice.

I have waited to leave this review till after my 3rd visit. Staff is nice and attentive. Issues I have encountered now for the third time is the pool is too cold for the kids to enjoy and the breakfast is lackluster at best. They fill food after it’s empty and it takes too long to get even a minimum amount of food. We travel here often and I am considering trying a new location. After a day of sports there is nothing better then a pool that your body temp dosent drop so low that you shiver. This trip we also heard dogs barking late in the night as well a manager yelling at a window repair guy in the hall. That should of been done in the office and not for all to hear. The rooms are nice besides some stains but we are comfortable to walk barefoot and sheets are clean. Just wish that all the details we attended to.
