I drove to this YMCA today. I’m so blown away with the experience I had here! Staff was so friendly and welcomed me in with such a positive manner. This is a huge YMCA. Indoor track, big locker rooms with showers, elevator, fitness center, indoor pool, fieldhouse with basketball courts, hot tub (spa) and vending machines. Restrooms and showers were spotless! I’ve never seen restrooms or showers that clean in my life. They were very very clean. This YMCA also has ceiling fans in one of the hallways going left and right. That is really cool. It seems like to me that this place is kept in spotless condition. It also looks like a brand new YMCA. I’m very very happy with the experience I had here today and no doubt, I will be coming back here again soon

Just signed up here and it is a great place for not just a workout, but to meet new people in the community. Front desk was very helpful with the signup process, they even recovered my weight belt i left behind on accident. Would recommend for anyone looking to get fit.

I did pay for private lessons at this location for my son to swim and it was the worst experience ever! The lady stopped the lessons early every time. She was very mean and condescending to both of us and EXTREMELY impatient. Was very surprised that she was an instructor with children at the YMCA. She totally ruined my sons experience with water and he is afraid to get in at all now. The entire experience was very anxiety inducing for both of us. One thing I don’t care for at this location is it seems there’s no one you can really turn to in events such as these to hold people accountable. Even when it came to simply scheduling the lessons I had a huge issue. There is definitely a disconnect with communication. Also the review about diversity is 100% true. Blatant racism and micro aggressions towards black member’s especially the children.

The gym is very clean. The Jr Cavs program is a great basketball program with amazing coaches. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I am a diehard class enthusiast. Denise Moore is the best instructor I've ever encountered. Spinning, weights, HIT. Everything she does is topnotch. She is encouraging, funny and always manages to have you work harder than you think you are able. Best instructor ever!

Non-white guests are treated poorly with staff giving suspicious/disgusted looks at them. Other guests are middle-aged white folks who clutch their belongings when BIPOC walk by. One staff member looked behind my black son to address the white customers behind him first, even though he’d been standing in line before them. Between classes, swim teams and no pool lane reservation system (done at other Y’s in Ohio) you can expect to drive 15-20 minutes for nothing. Very uncomfortable place, which is why they have very little diversity in staff/members. They use “diverse” stock images from other YMCA’s, which tricked us into joining. They posted about diverse swimming lessons on FB and their members ripped them to shreds in the comments, attacking the need to attract diversity. Will be reporting them to their central office.

Used to be the Avalon special event rental space for wedding receptors, conferences renovated into a health club. Some fun cardiovascular machines like interactive cycling machines, free weights, few circuit training machines. Some circuit training machines makeshift-placed into hallways, nice gym for Saturday morning kids basketball leagues. Utility swimming area, nice whirlpool with broken jets. If comparing to a community center like Middleburg Heights, you wonder how you "settled" here or you'd think ever city uses a YMCA as a community center.

New equipment is state of the art, but work out areas are cozy. Full weight room with lots of options and a track that runs the perimeter on the second floor. Pool is huge, but often busy. Luckily there is a lot of open and family swim times. There's a sauna and hot tub always available. Really great staff and the kid center is awesome. Definitely useful for busy families.

Family of 4: There's a nice variety for the adults. We don't use the children's activities. Zumba is my new favorite thing, and I can do it in the evenings after work, which is the only time I'm available. We use the equipment, too, and we like the variety for all of us there. I run and stair climb, and my husband and daughter use the bikes. I have a teen that doesn't like to exercise, but she says Zumba isn't "as bad" as working out ;)

YMCA summer camp was a good way for the kids to see friends and partake in fun activities such as swimming, bowling, playgrounds, the zoo, just to name a few.

Everyone that works out here is nasty. People coughing all over, not covering their mouth even! The old people Never wip down their machines. Everything is dirty, and the staff is completely incompetent. One of the worst gyms I've ever been to. I like Broadview rec but it's expensive and further away.

This is by far the best place I have ever joined! The entire staff is so awesome, they are always smiling an they make you feel wanted an welcomed! I personally love Kimberly hittel the water workout Instructure. She goes above an beyond each an every class. She gives me courage an strength. She is my friend. Melissa at the front desk is just the best. She always wears such a beautiful smile is energetic, Friendly, an always ask about my day. She makes me feel welcomed. I enjoy seeing her first Thing when I walk in. She knows a lot of us by name. An that to me makes this place so worth coming. Coming to the north Royalton ymca is the best decision I could have ever made for my self. Not just for the workouts an classes but also to make new friends. There is not one bad thing I can think of! I tell everyone about the north Royalton ymca! My whole life has transformed my health, mentally an physically, an it gave me the opportunity to meet some new friends that I enjoy so Much. THANKS NORTH ROYALTON YMCA FOR CHANGING MY WHOLE LIFE.

Invoice date is 6/2/2023 (Friday), due date 6/6/2023. I received the mail on 6/6/2023. Paid on 6/7/2023. They charge late fees after 1 day after due payment. Totally not recommend.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Variety of programs and activities. I recommend to anyone looking to get active and work on their health. And to any families wanting to do the same. The staff has been extremely friendly and accommodating also.

All employees are very friendly and courteous. They go out of their way to answer questions or find someone who can answer them for you. There are more than enough machines for everyone, never had to wait for a cardio machine. Wait times on weight machines are very minimal. They have many different types of classes that are included with the membership. Only downside is the I would like the indoor track to be a bit larger.

I have only attended a TRX class & a Zumba class. I really loved both. I rode the bike twice & loved it as well. Doug evaluated & suggested something I could do in the TRX class. He is a phenomenal instructor. I am limited to certain movements so the Zumba class was somewhat of a challenge, but I just improvised & did what I could due to my age & health concerns.
