After a Cancelled AirBNB - Parador Santa Maria La Real was like... a savior! This 18th century hotel offers amazing views from most angles inside their premises. I decided to stay one night but after such a great 24hr experience I extended it with a friend for another day. The hotel actually has a small cave/basement that leads you through a corridor with antique items from many many years back. Pretty much is a Museum all around. - The services are great. The place is impeccable always! And we found many photo shoots and things happening - I was planning to leave to another classic hotel but once again... we extended to a total of 4 days 3 nights in the place - I highly recommend it.

Good hotel spoilt by overcharging at checkout. At checkout we were incorrectly charged tax. We had to come back 4 times to find a time when the manager was there. On the 4th time we were there for 1 hour arguing we didn't need to pay the tax. Eventually we were refunded our tax. Another couple was also checking out and arguing the same. Jacuzzi was extra cost and empty (so we didn't even bother trying to use). Gym only had treadmills and cross trainers. No weights, mats or water provided. On the plus side great views, lovely building and good size room. Showers always had hot water. Good breakfast (first hotel with natural yogurt, not sweetened). Good Wi-Fi everywhere

Place is amazing from a historical point of view. One thing that as a person that spends +120 days out traveling appreciate is really going to the basics: clean bed, hot shower and SILENCE. Unfortunately, because it’s an old building (but very well maintained) I could hear the person on the upper room talk, I mean clear enough to take notes, I could also hear steps and even when they went to the bathroom… For this who valí silence, ALWAYS book the upper level room. I did not sleep until the guys upstairs slept…

Very good hotel with excellent location. Expensive but great value for money. Rooms are decorated in classic colonial style. Colorful courtyard with beautiful flowers. Great mountain views from the top floor. Spectacular beautiful hotel restaurant offered delicious Bolivian meals and good wines. Super friendly and helpful staffs. And the manager showed us a private collection museum at basement.

We arrived without reservation and asked to use the rooftop jacuzzi. We booked it for 4 hours, which costs around 260 Bolivianos for 2 persons. Great view over the city and the near mountains. Best place in Sucre to enjoy the sunset. The barman even came up and served us drinks. Highly recommended

Nice Hotel ... to watch; but not so confortable with today's standards to stay. Definitely not a five stars hotel. PROS: quite, well located in Sucre, good attention. CONS: ancient furniture uncomfortable, rooms with lack of natural light, it gets cold, bad room service.

The hotel and our room were beautiful. The service was just okay. We expected more from a 5 star hotel. The area around bathtub looked a little bit rough around the edges. Also we stayed on a sunday and all the services from the hotel were closed (rooftop bar, restaurant, spa). This wasn't told before booking.

Beautiful and well decorated hotel, full of maze and underground tunnel with museum feels. All the furniture is old from the time when the house used to belong to some family. We were unlucky that we stayed on Sunday night and no bar or restaurant at the hotel was open during our stay. The staff was super helpful and friendly and very accommodating! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed here for a couple days in September. It was like stepping into a Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel. Walking the hallways was a delight, as there was something artful and eye-catching in every direction. Perfect location. Restaurant downstairs was lovely. Good staff. Interesting cats pass through.
