I've been blown away by the amazing venue, innovative menu and comprehensive wine list! Their service was impeccable, and will look after you. The food is modern with clear japanese influences. Their calamari, raw beef, potato chip and calamari were standouts that showcase the passion the chefs have for local produce. Have a glass from their Duck decanter, go on, you deserve it.

Very small excellent wine list. Food ok had 38$ prawn dish with 4 prawns and some aoli? Very average. Son had squid ink dish but didn’t like it

Bar heather provided a night to remember! Impeccable service (just the right amount!). Unbelievable food options and solid wine pairing. We were lucky enough to come on Jazz night and the vibe was extra special! Only small feedback would be it would be great to have a slightly bigger range of wines by the glass so we can mix it up. Thank you team Heather, we’ll be back next time we are lucky enough to be in Byron. Try the Rib Eye :)

There isn’t a single thing that could have made our night better. This was one of the memorable dining experiences I have ever had. An amazing wine list, a sommelier who you could listen to for hours, team members who cared deeply about the food and how and where it was sourced from, atmosphere that makes you feel transported to another world once you walk through the red velvet curtain and patrons who are there to just enjoy the moment. This place needs to be on everyone’s must visit list in Byron. Exceptionally magic. Thank you!

Our experience at Bar Heather last night was exceptional! The food was incredibly delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented. The wines recommend to accompany the meal were perfect. The staff were polite, engaging and professional. The venue was a prefect blend of darkened bar/wine room with soft lighting & music. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Byron Bay to try Bar Heather. No wonder they won New Regional Restaurant of the Year. Well deserved.

The staff were caring, and the food... so deserving chef Ollie Wong-Hee of Gourmet Traveller's Best New Talent and Bar Heather a SMH Good Food Guide Hat and New Regional Restaurant of the Year Award. I will definitely be returning on a Thursday evening for more fine dining and jazz.

Excellent place with unique flavours and fantastic service. Calamari with Okinawa spinach was a hit. Really enjoyed the experience. Taking 1 star off for the lack of good wine by the glass. It would be fine if it was a regular restaurant, but when you can’t get a nice wine by the glass in a wine bar—then where can you?!

What a gorgeous spot. You are enveloped and transported.. perfect date night spot. Cosy but could still chat. Food was beautiful. So fresh! And clever combinations without being obtuse. Will happily go back and recommend. We had the set menu and loved every dish. Tried to go back the next night for dessert again but they were closed. Bay leaf ice cream! *chefs kiss*

We had such an incredible experience at Bar Heather. The extensive wine list is outstanding and very fairly priced, we were hesitating between a couple of different options and the sommelier, Isabella, was of excellent advice. We were sitting at the bar and our waiter, Sam, really looked after us. The food is so delicious, we loved every single dish we ordered. We will definitely be back for the vibe but also to try the remaining dishes we didn't get to try and work our way through this amazing wine list (and cocktail selection).

By far the best we have had up on our trip to northern rivers. Well done kitchen and floor staff - it takes a lot of passion and hard work and you can just feel that in your venue. 🙌

Wow! We booked here after reading the chef had been awarded chef of the year by Gourmet Traveller… and other rave reviews. This is a wine bar with amazing wines and the food, so fresh and such great flavours. The wild lemon dessert was excellent, and so was everything else. I know this place will get to the point where you need to book weeks in advance. Go now!

We had a wonderful time last night, every dish we ordered was faultless, the service we received from the owner and sommelier James was amazing. Some of the best wines we have tried. We will be back on our next Byron visit Thank you !

Such a great space with plenty of opportunity but sadly left feeling disappointed. A wonderul deep list of old world wines but a lack of wines by the glass. Also a lack of vegetarian options. The betel leaf was amazing and fried bread was great as was the octopus. Sadly the oysters tasted a little off and the venison tartare was under seasoned. Would love to go back and try it again but would recommend a certain waiter to put a smile on their face and spend more time attending the customers in front of them instead of trying to pick up the local female talent.

An incredible dining experience. A relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere with friendly staff serving fine-dining-quality food and drinks without the uncomfortable silence often associated with fine dining. For a casual snack and a drink, or an all out dinner you won’t forget, this place is a must in Byron Bay!

The best restaurant I’ve been in a long time without a doubt! The service was impeccable and the food so delicious and innovative. They also have an impressive selection of natural wines that the waiter knew to perfection. His recommendations were spot on! The whole experience was just incredible!

So pleased that we now have an adult venue to relax and eat. The music was background music, not blaring trendy beats that overtake your mind. It is a classy and serene setting reminiscent of the days of yore. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. A rarity here in Byron. My new fav for husband and I to go to for date night.

What a beautiful experience here tonight. The service was impeccable. We were taken on a fantastic food and wine journey by Felix! The wine selection is extraordinary and Felix was so knowledgeable - we were happy to take his recommendations. The food was exceptional, light but filling, creative but satisfyingly familiar. Located in a new precinct as you enter Byron main street … you will not be disappointed to explore beyond the more well known establishments and discover this gem with a passion for wine!

A wonderful dinner the staff were kind and attentive tried a few red wines 🍷 good quality enjoyed them the food was superb the ox tongue was delicious and the eye fillet was perfect 🥰 the passionfruit tart was a great way to end the meal the best I have tasted will definitely be back for more 😋

One of the best dining experiences i’ve had. Chef Ollie is a genius - the food coming out of his kitchen is outstanding (easily catered for a dietary in the group too). FOH staff all warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Very classy but unpretentious little bar restaurant, cosy and intimate setting, highly recommend

WOW WOW WOW - Bar Heather you’ve excelled, from the shiitake starter, betel leaf wrap, mussels in broth and one of the most delicious prawn dishes I’ve tasted. I’m counting the days before I return. Congratulations!!!

Big fan of this new Byron bar/restaurant. Nice decor. Food modern and inspired. Would highly recommend for a fancy but not fussy night out.

We have the BEST TIME at heather every time we go ..WOW - talk about amazing ! Breath of fresh air in this area . The first time we went , we felt for a minute like we were in Potts point or in a natural wine bar in Paris. Heather feels like a holiday away from byron - and an adventure in wine Unlike anywhere else in the region. The food is INCREDIBLE, everything including the carefully curated wine is extremely unique to what’s on offer up here thanks to their affiliation with the amazing Luna wine store across the road. The fried bread was like something our mums would make and the rest was excitingly adventurous like the betel leaves , and Do yourself a favour and have dessert too - the Vegemite sandwich was lifechanging. Everything hits the right spot . I’ve booked up for the next month so we don’t miss out!

A friend had recommended I visit bar. Heather and I can honestly say they did not disappoint. From the minute you walk through the door, the service is impeccable and the food is simply next level.. AMAZING! The venison tartare was my favourite. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough
