Great, conveniently located getaway in the White mountains. Very helpful staff, and really friendly bartenders in Peaks Pub. Outstanding food for both breakfast and dinner! Rooms are a little dated, but I believe they’re going through some post-pandemic renovations and in any case were still comfortable to stay in!

FranconiaInn is a great place to stay while exploring the area. The room and breakfast were excellent, but what was even better was the super friendly staff and owners. I made a booking mistake, and had no reservation in a fully booked hotel. But they were still able to not only accommodate us, but even honored the original price and giving us the best room of the hotel at no extra charge. Definitely would stay here again.

Had a great little getaway at this unique inn. The owners are actively renovating and you can really tell how much care and attention is going into it. We experienced great service by all staff, and especially Rose who suggested off-menu options based on her conversations with us. There’s so many features to this place you could come during different seasons and never get bored.

Beware! The entrance and lounge are welcoming and characterful if not a little quirky. Sitting on the sofa in front of the gas log fire was very relaxing. However, the bedrooms are truly awful and in desperate need of refurbishment. Probably not updated for 40 years, the bathrooms are basic and very dated, the bedrooms have exposed pipework, rusty old radiators are overpainted with galvanised paint to disguise their condition and air conditioning is by old, poorly fitting 'window rattlers' (not technically air conditioners at all!). Such a shame as could be so much better with some investment.

Everything about this place was been wonderful, but 5 stars fails to do justice to Rose, the bartender at the pub. Rose is one of the most attentive and intuitive bartenders I've ever experienced. She was an expert at suggesting cocktails, and was a complete joy during the entire evening. We like to always go and find new places, but our experience at the pub alone would make us come back to the Franconia. Additionally, the owners were very visible during our stay and exceptionally kind!!

We hosted a weekend long wedding celebration at the Franconia Inn. Andrew and Linda were amazing. They worked with us to create a spectacular experience for our guests. The food was great, it offers a variety of unique guest activities, and the location is stunning. The Inn has the classic New England charm that we were looking for. Everyone who attended had a great time and we look forward to returning again.

Great spot! Some folks who were also staying at the hotel complained that there are no televisions in the rooms but we had no issue with that. The pool is fun and the hotel staff was lovely!

I've waited since July 2023 to write a review of our experience at the Franconia Inn hoping to having a different perspective from a distance. The Franconia Inn is one of those places that you drive by for years until one day you say, I've got to try this place out. It looks so special! Well, perhaps the ownership transition impacted the magic. The room we booked online was not at all as the pictured room ( we are aware that looks can be deceiving). The room was clearly outdated, however we were ready to give grace to new owners in the midst of transition until getting into bed at night. Thankfully, an understanding and kindhearted clerk was at the front desk and saved us from a long drive back home ( about 4 hours) at 9pm because we could not have slept in that room. She found us another room for the duration of the stay. Terrific! This desk clerk is indeed an angel! The next day, a different clerk insisted that our concern was not what we suspected ( this felt like the definition of gaslighting! Like we made up the situation.) This did not feel good. Again we made the best of the situation. Went about the rest of our time there. Not sure if the owners were notified of this incident, however; in our hearts thinking an owner could have simply said, "we heard you felt your room was unsatisfactory, so sorry this happened" would have been such a simple act of kindness and made a huge impression. So now it's been several months, it is good to read such stellar reviews of the Inn. We wish the new ownership godspeed.

The new owners here have stepped it up versus past years. We came for Thanksgiving dinner. The buffet was delicious. Interior of the restaurant and lobby and common areas has been revitalized and feels fresh and cozy. Our kids had a nice time playing foosball and video games in the basement, working on a puzzle in the library, and feeding the horses in the meadow behind the inn. We enjoyed reading some magazines by one of the fires. Cocktail in the bar was excellent. The view of the mountains from the front of the inn is as majestic as ever. We’ll be back.

They were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. I had some pretty good vegan breakfasts there. They will work with you on whatever your diet is. By the way if you like horses you can ride horse next door. The views in the area are beautiful. By the way the poet Frost's Cottage is close by this Inn.

This was such a magical place to stay! Lovely scenery, the staff was so nice and accommodating, the food and bar was great but didn’t break the bank, we got to ride horses, and the room was so cute and comfy. Highly recommend staying here for a little R&R, such a great time.

My husband and I have been back home for a week now, but the warm memories of our 4-day stay at Franconia Inn continue to delight. From the attentiveness of the staff to the soothing atmosphere of this tastefully appointed gem, we felt so fortunate to have found this rare treasure tucked away in the exquisite White Mountains of New Hampshire.
