A secluded gem! This hidden treasure is tucked away in the neighborhood, making it easy to drive right past the entrance if you're not looking for it. The parking lot is quite small, accommodating only 5-6 cars, which adds to its exclusivity and charm. It's usually not very busy, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Upon arrival, you'll find a port-a-potty conveniently located next to the entrance. The area exudes tranquility, and the trails are a hiker's delight. One particularly scenic portion of the trail is sandwiched between Goose Creek and an old, empty canal that historically connected to Aldie. This unique setting provides a glimpse into the area's past while offering a serene environment for a walk. Wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled to spot numerous deer that often linger just off the trail, adding to the natural allure of the place. The trails themselves are well-maintained, making for a pleasant and easy hike. If you venture south, you'll be treated to the soothing sounds of running water, especially after rainstorms when Goose Creek is high and the water rushes swiftly. For kayaking enthusiasts, there's a fantastic spot to launch your kayak from a flat, beach-like area. If you're kayaking up Goose Creek, this is the perfect place to stop for a rest or to use the restroom facilities. The location is very scenic, offering beautiful views just a short distance from where Goose Creek merges with the Potomac River. Despite being surrounded by houses, the area remains picturesque and full of natural beauty. The juxtaposition of suburban surroundings with the serene, untouched nature of the trails creates a unique and captivating experience. Whether you're looking for a peaceful hike, a place to kayak, or simply a quiet spot to connect with nature, this secluded gem is well worth a visit.

We live close by, I love to take my family over there for a afternoon walk with our Dog. The best place in sterling to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the Potomac River. People can be more careful and not leave their trash in the park. Love this place.

10/10 absolutely beautiful. For my college program we meet here for class sometimes. Lovely place to walk trails, hang by the waterfront, and learn about many kinds of trees and plants and wildlife. There are shelters (per reservation only) around the park that are nice for snacking during your walk. I highly recommend this place! It looks huge, I'm sure there is a lot I didn't even see on my visit there.

I went here to attend a high school graduation party for a family member and this amazing park blew me away. It was beautiful and well kept. The views of the Potomac were beautiful. There were lots of families there grilling, hanging out and having a good time. It was a very peaceful park with lots of shaded walking space. I like getting a good walk in when I have a chance. Had a splash park which some attendees enjoyed (at and extra fee) and a clean lavatory building. I'd like to return one day to fully explore the park.

This is a very beautiful county park with trails along the Potomac River. There are plenty of places to picnic including pavilions with seating and grills that require reservations. On the west side of the park there’s a large family water park and many cabins for rent, right on the river. I would give this park 5 stars if they didn’t charge for using the boat ramp. The park already makes a fortune from the water park and cabins and tax revenue, they don’t need to gouge the public with additional fees for a boat ramp that has seen no improvements or maintenance in years.

Fantastic spot to look at the sunrise. Many chance to view wildlife including birds, hawks, foxes, squirrels, deers, etc.
