Back in December of last year, the crunch in Reston closed and they gave all those members access to this Onelife location. Since then it has been near impossible to complete a workout because of the overcrowding. There are literally twice as many members here then prior to the crunch closing. They expanded the gym but all they did was put two benches and light dumbbells, and some racks. Is that supposed to compensate for an entire gym doubling its member amount? Coming here is just playing a waiting game to use a piece of equipment at all hours. Also why are they still only open till 9pm? They could at least stay open later to compensate for the extreme amounts of people at the gym. Please do not join this gym because there is no room for you.

Don't get a membership that's annual unless you want absolutely not flexibility or ability to leave or make changes and keep getting charged. customer service is abysmal. I moved far enough away I should have been able to cancel but because my ID had my old address when I enrolled they wouldn't honor it. Now I am being charged for a second year and I haven't even been there in MONTHS!!!!

I only recently started going here, but it's been a great experience so far! The staff are super nice and friendly. Cam and Jeremiah are two employees I've interacted with closely and they've been absolutely fantastic. I've always been a little intimidated to go to a gym, but Onelife is the exact opposite. I've had other gym goers give me helpful tips on workouts and how to use certain machines. The classes are top notch too and they're included in your membership! There are a lot of gyms out there with lots of bells and whistles added, which means a pretty penny out of your wallet every month. Onelife is a great value that keeps me motivated to keep going. Really glad I signed up!

I cancelled my membership after 3 years because I feel the Manager Chris Francis isn't doing enough to enforce the covid restrictions mandated by the Governor and the safety policies of Onelife Fitness. Masks are required while in the locker room yet 75% of the members are not wearing masks in the locker room. The urinals are 2ft apart so you can't keep a safe distance when someone comes up and uses the urinal next to you without a mask. Signage in and around the locker room are poorly placed and no one reads them. I asked Chris to put one of the two urinals out of service but he refused. On top of that, like others have posted, they are charging me for an additional month even though I clearly stated that it was a health and safety issue and they are required to provide a safe environment for its members. The customer service department has been less than helpful in trying to resolve the situation. But that's not all, the gym is old. The equipment is old. It's hot and has poor ventilation. The parking lot is falling apart. In my opinion, this gym should be closed!

Money hungry dishonest operators. I had signed up for personal training sessions. I wasn't taking them because I wasn't feeling well. When the sessions were approaching expiry dates the personal trainer made fake appointments to get himself paid without me attending the sessions. If they had an iota of decency they would have rather extended the expiry date. I mentioned this to the so called general manager Chris on the phone. He never got back to me. Edit: Response to the owner - Stop talking about 24 hour cancellation notice. Your dishonesty is showing again. If right now it is Oct 15, 8pm, your trainer makes an appointment for Oct 15, 2pm. Without telling me. So that he can get paid out of the sessions I have purchased. How much more clear can I get? Bunch of frauds.

The employees really care and are always kind to the customers - even on those early mornings when I'm sure it would be better to hide in a cup of coffee. I want to give a special commendation to the employees who are ALWAYS wiping down equipment, cleaning surfaces, and even vacuuming behind gym-goers. Seriously, who does that?! It took me a while to venture back into gyms following COVID, but the team at Onelife Reston has never left me feeling uneasy about my decision to return. They are truly a notch above. I'd also like to note that the culture at this gym is strong. The gym-goers are courteous of each other, and the clients are clearly serious about health and wellness. It's a diverse crowd with guys lifting more than I could ever dream as well as folks who might be venturing into the gym for the first time. Again, the culture is strong, and the people are kind and courteous. All are made to feel welcome at this gym, and I am constantly recommending it to those I know in the market for a new place to workout.

Everyone is so kind and engaging and dedicated to improving my challenging fitness level. They even went above and beyond recently when I lost my car keys. GM and trainers (including Cat) took the time to check the security tape which showed me walking out with the keys, and Trainer Sam (who said this was one of his talents) found them outside the next morning. Also the gentleman who cleans the gym looked through every trash can. I very much appreciate everyone going above and beyond during their very busy schedules to help me with a personal problem. Thank you…Jane

This is a big gym with a good mix of equipment. There is almost never a wait for equipment, either cardio, machine or free weights. The locker rooms are pretty standard and are kept clean, but they do not have towel service at the Reston location. They have personal trainers and classes like yoga, spin, and body pump. At one point this location had a day care service for kids but I'm not sure if that's still active.

Once you are a member they will give you trouble to leave. The owners lack empathy and only care about the money. Worst gym in the DMV area when it comes to costumer service.

I’ve been at this gym for eight or nine years. The people are great, and it has a very community feel. And everyone is eager to help you achieve your fitness goals. Great atmosphere and classes, too. I highly recommend it.

I've been going here for years. I once felt it was a good gym. I’ve been unable to work out for 6 months for health reasons. Finally back! Only to spend 15 min wandering from elliptical to elliptical to find one that works. Half of them are broken.

This is the worst onelife location. The equipment is so old and very limited. The layout is terrible with no places to do functional exercises or stretching. I used to belong to another location and it was great with constant new equipment and great instructors. Just found out via Facebook, not even their own website, that there will be no classes until further notice. But sure what people are paying for

Professional, helpful staff will help you or leave you alone, whichever you prefer. Modern, clean equipment. Locker rooms are large and clean. The cleaning people have been there for years and are outstanding. The background music does not cater to old people, but is not too loud. It’s a nice well-run place.

I have been a member of Onelife Fitness for over one year and many gyms in the past. This gym excels in all the characteristics I seek, and I plan to belong to it throughout the time I live in the area. My original review exceeded the character limit, but my summary is that Onelife Fitness in Reston offers the equipment, facilities, staff, COVID-19 precautions, clientele, and business practices that gym-goers desire at a fee that is an absolute steal. I cannot recommend it highly enough for both seasoned fitness enthusiasts and individuals who have just begun their journey towards a happier and healthier lifestyle.

I have been a member of this club since it opened.. I have also used many other Fitness type clubs when I travel and I have never seen a club as well maintained, with super friendly staff and is so amazingly clean! At all times of the day and night the cleaning staff are in attendance, busy scrubbing away! I have had no fear during these Covid times because of the cleanliness, the attention to making sure everyone keeps their distance and making sure everybody wears a mask and has no temperature when entering. I love this club! Great job!

I really enjoyed this gym! Pros: All the equipment you need for almost any fitness goal. I did a strength program here and loved having access to 5 squat racks and 2 deadlift platforms. Plenty of machines for chest, back, hip thrust, cables, and even turf. Locker room was big and clean. Cons: I am a travel physical therapist and stopping my membership was a pain. You have to provide proof of change of address and email in to a specific address so if you don't ask how you could easily get screwed with a bill. Otherwise no complaints with the facility, staff, or members. Loved my time here.

This gym is amazing! Unlike most gyms in the area, Onelife is much more reasonably priced. Also, the atmosphere is not intimidating whatsoever likely because of the wide variety of people who workout there. Whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or have years of experience, this gym makes all members feel welcome. The trainers and all staff who work at Onelife are so nice too! I can tell they all are very dedicated to their work and genuinely care about their clients. While a majority of the equipment seems pretty used, I still really love working out at this gym because the staff is so kind, there’s a wide variety of equipment and rooms/studios, and the atmosphere allows members to feel comfortable while working out. I have used other gyms in my past (like Golds Gym or LA fitness) and can 100% say that Onelife is my favorite because it offers the same things at a much more affordable price and is not intimidating. I’ve been working out here for over a year now, and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. I am very happy to be apart of the Onelife community! :)

Fantastic employees, facilities, and trainers. Jeremiah is an excellent and encouraging person and I sign up for programs here specifically because he's fantastic at what he does. Front desk was even prompt to return a refund to me after I was wrongly charged $600 for 14 months. I wouldn't have switched gyms had it not been for my move, but I highly recommend this place.

I'm a member in the Atlanta Onelife Fitness program. I was up in the area visiting a friend and I saw there a lot of locations around here that I can get a good workout in while on vacation. We'll I didn't realize my memberships didn't include the locations outside of Atlanta and Georgia. I just say that to talk about the staff and how they were kind and understanding since this was a first for me and a experiment and they still allowed me for that visit to workout. I do want to figure out how to get access to all locations in the future buy I mainly wanted to write this review to brag on the staff or just share how great they are and accommodating even in a time I think they shouldn't have. If they can give me a good experience I'm sure they can do that for others around here. I'm thankful.

Love this gym. The facility itself is relatively small compared to other OneLife fitness gyms in the area, but they are mighty. The staff is phenomenal and the personal trainers are on point. If you want to see results in any aspect of your health, then this is the place to be. Jeremiah is the best of the best and will push you to achieve your fitness goals. Ask for him when you go in. You won't regret it!

I checked out every gym in the area and got recommendations from as many people as possible, knowing that if I don't feel comfortable, I will look for any excuse not to work out. Onelife was the most welcoming and suitable for what I was searching. Great classes, lots of machines/weights, and several gyms in the area if I want a little variety. They do not push personal training like other gyms. I felt I had no need for it because I know enough and had worked out for years before I got too lazy/busy, but I decided to try it since they had the intro session. I was lucky to schedule my session with Andrei, who has been spectacular so far. He is very caring and professional. I am a physical therapist and sometimes ask him stuff just to see how much he knows =). Surprisingly, he is very knowledgeable, and he will go out of his way to find out information or help me in any way he can. I have recommended him to some of my older patients who will be moving on after PT treatment because he is able to work with people of all ages and skill levels. He has a way of motivating me when I really don't want to do anything. Everyone else has also been super helpful, from managers to the maintenance staff. I can't find a reason not to work out anymore.

Great gym. Great people that work there that make the place feel like a home. Plenty of equipment to use for any type of workout and so that no matter the time you come in there's always something open for you to use.Trainers are very knowledgeable and are ready to help you meet your fitness and life goals. Price was amazing for someone looking to lift heavy and come in 5-6 times a week. I've had 4 of my friends join me and sign up at Onelife. I would recommend to people looking for an affordable gym that is friendly and inviting.

I have been a member at Onelife Reston (formerly Sport & Health) for over 20 years. It is smaller than some other Onelife sites in the area, but still offers a wide range of classes, cardio and weight equipment. I also like the fact that their are members from 20-somethings to age 70+. Highly recommend!

Worked out here for six years. Nice place with good management; they actively work to make the gym even better. Everything you could possibly need to get and stay in shape. Great combination of cardio, weight machines and free weights. Tons of classes too.

I’ve been very happy with my experience at OneLife Reston over the last few years; very much missing it while I’m at college! Nice variety of equipment & friendly staff. I especially enjoyed the Zone4 group classes (though it’s been a while since I’ve last done those).

The One Life in Reston is really neat because it's so close to my place, the staff their are some of the kindest & most helpful people I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know, their professionalism & motivation pushes me every time, especially Camilla, she's literally one of my favorite people I've ever met, and coming in you always get a smile from her and my boy Diego! Those 2 are always the brightest spot in the gym, and they never judge they always show love!

  • 4/5 Jared C. 1 year ago on Google
Great selection of equipment. One of the cleanest gyms in the area. I always see an employee cleaning! Workers are very friendly! My only complaint is the members. My car has been dinged four times while I’m sitting preparing myself to go in the gym. Their members are careless when it comes to others. I’ve had to complain about numerous people tossing weights around. Otherwise I would’ve given 5 stars!

  • 5/5 Tamar D. 3 years ago on Google
This gym is truly one of a kind! Every time I walk in I am greeted with the biggest smiles and the kindest staff. Onelife Reston is the gym to be at if you want to feel at home and like you’re with a second family! The facility is also very clean and is always kept up to date with safety regulations. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Both pre and post Covid-19, onelife has been nothing but fantastic. Amazing friendly staff, clean tidy gym, and warm inviting members. Katie is by far the most helpful and kind woman at this gym. Will be going here for years to come

Onelife has been my second home the last year. They have the equipment to get the job done and it is well kept. The staff are incredible. The training Elie and Thomas provide is world class and Mrs. Katie by the front door is incredibly welcoming and always inspiring me to keep chasing my fitness goals. Without the three of them I would probably exchange my membership for a subscription to Papa Johns and Netflix.

Chris, Katie, Sammy and the rest of the staff at OneLife really make you feel welcome, comfortable and at home in their club. My kids love the Kids Club, My wife and I love the amenities and the available fitness classes, we couldn’t be happier members at Reston OneLife Fitness!

  • 2/5 Jessica C. 4 years ago on Google
The gym itself is great and so are the trainers (reason for 2 stars and not 1) but be careful when signing the contract. Evidently when you need to cancel for legitimate reasons... you will be charged for 2 additional months. I moved and then they closed for COVID. I sent my request early March so I was charged for March (ok I can handle that) but now they plan to charge me whenever they reopen for an additional month. Despite explaining that I sent my cancellation request well prior to what they requested. Don’t use the fax option unless you can provide proof that it sent... they said they didn’t receive it. Extremely disappointed with this policy and lack of accommodation. Read your contract verbatim because I just took the word of the person signing me up... fool me once... will never come back to OneLife.

I have been a member of Onelife Fitness for years, but recently started going to Reston's facilities because a favorite class of mine has been cancelled at a Onelife closer to me. This is a nice gym. Everything looks clean, and the equipment seems well maintained. The kids club looks like a lot of fun (though my kid hasn't been there yet.) Just note that there is no towel service. You have to bring towels from home and shlep them too and from the Reston facility (something that other Onelife Fitness gyms do provide.) It's not the biggest deal, except that I wish I was warned before I came to workout without a towel. I couldn't use the shower as a result, and went to work stinky. It's also one more thing to remember to bring.

I was in town for a week in business and needed a full gym to work out in and not the hotel gym. I found OneLife on Google and called them up and then went in to buy a week pass. No pressure to join, no unnecessary administrative stuff, just a welcoming staff and a great facility. I will DEFINITELY come back to OneLife next time I come to town!

Friendly staff..excellent well maintained equipment. Small and intimate but big enough for a good workout.

  • 5/5 James D. 4 years ago on Google
It obviously bought out another company with their older equipment. I'm used to the homegrown from scratch huge onelifes like Alexandria, Burke, Newport News and this is nothing like those. Older isnt always bad. The free weights weren't crowded, the machines hit muscle groups I didn't get with my regular routines and I got just as good a workout in less time. There is also many running trails right outside the gym for a pre or post run. I'm thankful for them finding a spot in Reston. Its another option for people that travel around the DMV area for work. You could always pay the ridiculous cost of Gold's up the street.

Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here with this gym. The staff has always been super welcoming and helpful. The play area for my toddler was wonderful. Highly recommend this gym

Out of all the gyms I've ever been to Onelife Fitness is by far the best gym for the price. Not a lot of bells in whistles just a focus on good service and good equipment for a good price. They also have a great group fitness schedule with a lot of variety and quality teachers. Oneife had a very welcoming environment!

I've been a member now for about 8 months +/-. I like that this gym is conveniently located for me, but more than that it has a great mix of free weights and machines, and tons of floor space and equipment. (unlike other gyms which seem to have overloaded on either free weights or machines.) The gym is also clean and the staff is always friendly. For an affordable gym in the Reston area, this is a great place.

  • 4/5 Brandon C. 5 years ago on Google
Its simply a good value gym. you wont find a pool here or fancy meals they are trying to sell. At a competitive price you cant beat this place. It has plenty of weights and equipment during the peak times. They offer great packages for personalized training plans. I use to go to lifetime down the street but man was that expensive. In reality you don't need all that. I bet a good portion of this gyms clients came from lifetime :-). Now its not perfect. I would like to see the locker rooms enhanced, maybe extend it to make it larger. Would like to see a hot tub or spa. During peak times the gym area can seem stuffy but doesn't happen a lot. So it needs more fans because some people just stink !

I go back and forth between One Life and Sport & Health Worldgate depending on my work schedule. I love both gyms! The class times are so accommodating for any busy schedule and there are so many classes to choose from so your fitness goals can be obtained. Great gym! Been going here consistently for a couple years and don’t have anything to complain about. This gym is one of the cleanest which I appreciate. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and there’s a variety of machines and plenty of dumbbells, benches and space. It can get more busy around after work hours but that’s to be expected and shows how many people love going here. Overall this gym is a very positive and supportive environment. Love Cam, Carson, and every one there!
