Very poorly maintained. Half of the interactive exhibits do not work. The lawns are all overgrown with grass that is taller than a 5 year old kid. There are things that look like water features in the garden, but obviously they don't work, either. The person in charge of this mess needs to take some responsibility. Since they haven't bothered with the upkeep of the place, it is natural that they haven't bothered with providing any parking space for the hapless visitors. You need to park on the roadside. The tickets as in March 2020 cost 55/- per adult and 45/- per kid. There wasn't any separate charge for photography using mobile phone. The ticket price includes three places you can visit: 1.science center ( the place where the aforementioned exhibits reside), 2. A 3-D show and 3. Planetarium. The content of the 3D show is something that apparently was designed when 3D technology was invented, it does look very old. wasn't impressive at all. The planetarium was the worst of the lot. It wasn't a planetarium at all. They have just blown up a big balloon inside which you have to enter and sit while a man shows some images from a slide projector ( yes a slide projector that makes a clik-clack sound when you change slides, like the one you see in movies from 1970s, that's how bad this is) and talks while the bellow from the blower that's trying to keep the balloon inflated drowns his voice out. The only redeeming feature was the people: the lady who was at the ticket counter, and the very aged security people who tried their very best to make us comfortable.

One of the best places to take young kids. There are lots to hold their attention. The maintenance could be better. If well maintained this would trump GeeDee museum for sure. The surroundings are more like a butterfly park as a bonus.

A place must to visit by school children. Lot of models explaining the basics of science and general knowledge are available. Can understand how some of the common things we used to see in everyday's life are really working. Common people can also make a visit to improve their knowledge. Only drawback is not maintained properly. If someone can guide the visitors, it will be more useful.

Science experiments are placed in a interactive model. We can not only see it. But can also operate it and see it's operation practically. There are also computers, where we can derive more data about the things placed over there. There is an astronomical gallery, textile gallery, two science experiments gallery and a 3D film hall.. A place must be visited by students and children's.

Good place. Kids love this place. Some exhibits needs to be maintained properly. There is a play area with swing and some exhibits. Outside there are some eateries. Parking can be done only in the roadside or ground. Nearby Schools can arrange for a half a day trip for their students.

A must place to visit for a science enthusiasts. Its a pleasure to know where things we learn in school are practically applied and hidden in our environment. Any one who loves science would appreciate this place. Worth the money. The 3D show might interest the little ones and not the adults. Rest are awesome.

Well maintained. Many interesting and fun exhibits. Shadow picture, colour mixing, pendulums, pulleys, etc etc. There is also a cool 3D show. We visited on a Thursday afternoon... Only 2 families were there... But still they put on the 3d show for only 5 of us. Nice place for science enthusiasts. A must see for children.

Must visit for children and of course, adults. Helps to inculcate scientific temper. Star gazing event is organised on every second Saturday evening. But can be organised on a terrace of the building so that the horizon is visible early. I wish the telescope is more sophisticated to view details of planets

Though most of the exhibits are not up to the Mark, just ok to have time out with kids. I have enjoyed in colored shadow, 3d wall illusion, mechanicals. 3d movie and planetarium were worst one. Rest is ok.

The best part is mechanical demonstrations. And the science hall is also good. People need to handle it more carefully. 3D theatre and mini planetarium are very poor but every thing else are good. Big garden with science experiments. Overall good to go place..

50% of the equipments don't work. Pathetic maintenance! The staff are exceptionally rude everytime literally chasing the people away except for the man who is in the ticket counter. We (me and my Son) visit here almost every month for the last 2yrs (because my Son is a science geek) but the equipments are never repaired! The same things which didn't work 2 yrs back still doesn't work, now more things are not working yet they don't seem to repair. The 3D glasses gives headache due to its poor condition. The plus is the Planetarium show that is somehow creatively done inside a small dome, cheers to the idea. And the cost of the ticket is reasonable but basically useless because many things don't work. Photography is strictly prohibited which is a big turn off too. Probably they don't want people to capture/record the non-working stuff!! On the whole this place will soon be shut down if they don't maintain properly! Because it's in a really bad state and the staff don't seem to want people coming!

Very nice place for both children and adults. The physics and mechanism of most of the routine used products like lock, water tap, fulcrum etc are explained in simplest of manner. There is fun section which will be definitely liked by children of all age groups. The only thing which is recommended to the authorities is to extend timings in the evening to around 6:30 pm. Currently is opened from 10 am to 5 pm. One more thing is that the staff over there is very polite and gentle.

I visited here so that I can kill some time in the afternoon as I had other plan to go to other place in the evening session. I liked the place very much and it's worth visiting actually. When I visited there were only 1 family there and all the staff were polite and helpfull. I loved each and every section displayed there. It's a best place to take children as this place gives lot of information about how the things that we use daily works. 3D show was also nice but there is much scope for its betterment too as the quality is little bit blurry. I observed that the outside garden area is not so well maintained which I feel it can be considered for future developments. All facilities are fine. When I visited drinking water was not available at main building which was there near other building. This can be taken care which help many people. I loved this place very much.

It was set up with lot of expectations but not maintained properly no one to explain. It’s like an abandoned place. No life. Thus shows the careless attitude of government and we people on how much importance we give to science

I went with my kids. Seriously everyone must visit not only to learn the laws of science practically, but also to know about our Indian cultures. We need one full day to see there. Before this visit, science was nightmare to me also. But, the way explained in planatorium is very interesting. Only thing, during summer, we cant roam in outdoor park as it is too hot to roam. But all the outdoor equipments are very interesting. All must visit once atleast.

Awesome science center,, but it lacks maintanence and cleanliness. The outer area is fully surrounded by bushes. Many instruments which runs on science principles are kept outside they are under maintained if the administration maintains them they would attract more people to the science center and make use of the instruments. The inner center is awesome and it contains many scientific experiments and funny science room is awesome it explains the scientific priniciples with a models that demonstrate the principles And 3D show is not worth upto the mark but the planetarium show is superb. Tickets are also very affordable too Overall a good science center but it can be very good science center when it follows its cleanliness and maintenance..

Very spacious facility. Can be easily located from the road. Lots of space available outside to park cars. Very polite staff. Good concepts & themes (like exhibits for fibre-to-dress life cycle). No canteen facility. Toilets are available. Some of the exhibits are not working - needs improvement in maintenance. 3D shows are of low quality - could be improved with good quality content. Planetarium wasn't available on the day that we visited - not sure whether it's closed permanently.

Good place to bring kids as it is very educational. Totally 3 things - Science exhibition, 3D movie, Planetarium Combo price - 55 for adult, 45 for kids

  • 3/5 Romeo R. 2 years ago on Google
Nice exposure for children and even for adults. Many scientific things are explained simply like how a lock or water tap works. The only thing timings which is 10 am to 5 pm. During summers children can't play or enjoy because of the timings. Request authorities to tweak timings by an hour and half in the evening ie till 6: 30 pm

Great place to bring your kids to, rather than movies....since people prefer sci-fi over actual science, you won't have to be in a crowd.... When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, they turned the power on just for me.... You might spend almost a couple of hours if you're there for the full tour.
