My Uncle celebrated his 88th birthday at the Magnolia Hotel dining room. Our family was happy for a space that could accommodate us. We enjoyed dining there. It is a beautiful hotel with a courtyard. There was lively action going on at the upstairs bar, which had music and dancing.

I visited with friends for music and dinner. As I entered... ,the beauty , design, history, and friendly staff overwhelmed me. I was in amazement of it all. I returned two nights later again for dinner and to listen to their band. This time I received a tour and there are courtyards for coffee or drinks that are quite and peaceful. A pool for relaxing after a long day. And much more. I now live in Foley and I am coming to stay here for just the experience. It's a must for locals just to do for a special occasion and for thru travelers for an experience of a lifetime..LOVE this place

Staff was very nice. Rooms are very small and you need to know that this is a very old hotel and what you are getting for your money. Breakfast was good but a long wait. This hotel would not be on my list again.

This B&B is the quintessential Southern Charm must stop. Every detail is reviewed by the owners Kevin and Dusna Pennington. The staff is expertly trained and prepared to anticipate your every need. They have a great restaurant and lounge attached to The Hotel Magnolia. The quaint town of Foley is home to multiple entertainment venues and a huge Outlet Shopping Center. The pristine beaches if Gulf Shores are just a few minutes down the road.

We stayed in the Honeysuckle room this weekend. Overall our experience was wonderful. The lady at the front desk gave us a grand tour as soon as we arrived and even showed us to our room. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, clean and had so much detail. We loved the preserved original look and all of the antique furniture throughout. The customer service was top notch. The breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was so much better than the average hotel continental breakfast. I'm not sure about any of the other rooms but from our experience there are only two things we would change in the Honeysuckle Room. A nice change but not necessary would have been to have a small dresser to put our clothes. We used the luggage stand and lived out of our suitcase which was ok but with the room being small it took up extra space we really didn't have to spare. The biggest change I would like to see is the mattress. It was extremely uncomfortable and you could hear the springs popping every time you rolled over. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay again for the hospitality alone! You guys know how to make your guests feel at home! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We tried to dine at the restaurant last night. We arrived at 6:10 and were seated immediately. We waited about 30 minutes for appetizers to arrive. Even longer for salads. Found out table of 30+ ,dining upstairs, had taken priority even though they arrived after us. After nearly 2 1/2 hours, we left with no main course being served. Apologies too little, too late and only after we were walking out. Even more unfortunate because we were there celebrating our dear friend’s birthday. What a bust! Very frustrated that management didn’t step in to correct this situation as it was unfolding. Only offered $50 gift certificate to each couple after I asked manager to let me speak to owner and rest of party had already walked out. Left my number since owner unwilling/ unable? to talk to me that night despite being on the phone with the manager. . After I told manager we would not be back and left, she called to say owner couldn’t call tonight but offered $100 gift certificate per couple. We’ve dined there a few times previous and the food was very good, but the staff is poorly trained. Service is mediocre at best. Last night, the “hostess” was a young girl lounging on a couch. Waiter was friendly but inexperienced and waited much too long to make us aware of situation. Also inattentive at refilling drinks promptly. Overall, worst dining experience of my life. We won’t be back. So disappointing…love our town of Foley and had hopes for a lovely restaurant in the historic district.

My dad and his wife took us out to dinner here and I can’t remember ever having such great food at a restaurant as we had here. Absolutely delicious and I don’t eat steak because nowhere can cook a steak EXCEPT this place. It was like butter! Absolute perfection. The fried soft shell crab was perfect. Wonderful service timed just right. A beautiful place and excellent food and very nice people! We will be back. I just couldn’t believe how great the food was. It is hard to find a restaurant with food this good and service with such friendly staff. Clean!!! This place was very clean as well. I just love love it!! This was a wonderful Christmas gift. The Best place I’ve ever eaten at other than The Fish River Grill. The hotel is a must try for anyone who is looking for wonderful food and drinks. The bar also looked very nice so this would be a great place for just drinks too. Just an amazing place right here in Foley. Can't wait to go back.

You will find friendly staff and wonderful food all the way from breakfast to dinner. In addition, there is a lounge with live entertainment to enjoy! All this and just a few miles from the most beautiful beaches in the world! Definitely a must visit!! So enjoyed our time here! Thank you Diana, Teresa, and Trish for taking such great care of us.

It's absolutely wonderful, beautiful and wonderfully decorated great history. Wonderful staff very well-kept amazing facility. You will definitely get your moneys worth here. I had my wedding out in the courtyard two years ago, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate as it was an amazing experience.

This place looks nice but the manager and the other lady that checked us in took our money then we went to get our bags and then they kicked us out because they said we have kids which nowhere does it say children are not allowed I guess the lady that checked us in didn't know that kids were not allowed in the hotel but my children were in the office when I was checking in "which took almost an hour" she lied to whom I'm guessing was her boss and said that she didn't know i had kids, she even helped us carry our bags in from in front of the hotel because I had to move my car becausecars are not allowed in front of the place. I still have not received my 150$ back that I paid for the hotel and I just got of the phone with the lady and she basically said they did all they could do to refund the money so basically if I don't get my money back OH WELL! That's the attitude I got from her. So it cost me a little over 300$ to sleep the first night on our vacation after a 9 and a half hour drive.... Thank you Magnolia for a great first relaxing experience in Gulf shores. I extremely recommend not going to this place they lied to my face saying they didn't know I had kids and called me a liar for saying that they didn't know and I did not even get an apology. And while I was there the dishwasher cut his hand and left a big trail of blood from the kitchen to the front door and they didn't even start cleaning it up the whole time I was there checking in which was about an hour.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. Each room is different, so I’ll share pictures from the common areas. A wonderful breakfast was served each morning. The owners and staff were so kind and generous. It’s a also a great location; across the street from a park and just a block or two away from local shops. I am happy to have my first bed & breakfast experience here at Hotel Magnolia!

This hotel is an absolute masterpiece! Everything from the furniture to the artworks within are stunning. The breakfast and complimentary coffee is decadent. Location is within walking distance to many attractions. If you are a history nerd with a love for good food, this is your place!

The hotel clerk, Ava, gave us an amazing tour complete with the history of this beautiful hotel. She was friendly, professional, so knowledgeable, and just fantastic! She showed and explained all of the amenities of this magnificent historic hotel. Definitely a Foley, Alabama gem!

We came for lunch only. My mother got the shrimp pasta and said it was delicious but it was extremely rich so she could only eat a small portion. I got the almondine fish which was pretty overcooked but good. Would definitely come back and try them again.

Tried to have dinner here tonight. Arrived at 6:30 waited 2/12 hours for dinner, it never came. We ordered appetizers for the table, they took 40 minutes. Drinks took 20 minutes. We probably should have picked up on the fact that things were going poorly. This is a $35 a plate restaurant, never heard from management, the poor waiter finally said there was a party of 40 people upstairs ( that arrived after us) so we had to wait. We left at 8:45, dinner never arrived. They gave us a $50 gift certificate as we were leaving, that’s an appetizer and drink in this place. Don’t waste your time here, there are truly good restaurants in the area, this is not one of them.
