This place quietly opened recently and we stumbled upon it. I think it is a relocation. I have to say the experience was great. Lovely place with a lot to offer. Breakfast was fantastic. We don’t have to drive far to have a great breakfast now ! Great addition to downtown Foley. Wish them many many years of success. Friendly staff also.

Their breakfast was very good but this was a Sunday and all they had were cheesy grits and I'm not a big fan. I would much prefer regular grits but overall it was a good experience

First time there with our lunch bunch friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, no complaints whatsoever. I had the Blueberry pancakes, they covered the whole plate, I've never had pancakes served hot and stay hot throughout, the bacon good n crispy. Others ordered the Reuben, the Cuban and a BLT, all the sandwiches were full!! Fries were good too. Plenty of space for groups.

Our group of 16 ladies enjoyed our luncheon - the food, the atmosphere and especially the great service by Taylor. How she was able to keep everything running smoothly is beyond me! I had the Cuban sandwich - delicious. Portions were quite generous and fairly priced. We will be back. For a "small town", Foley has a lot to offer!

Sandwich, burgers, wings and more. Draft beer and a coffee shop with hot, cold and frozen. Very reasonably priced. Looks really cool inside too. A small arcade too

Just left this restaurant. We were excited to finally have time off to visit here. To say it was a disappointment is being kind. We were greeted by a young lady whom did not speak to you but around you. The buffet is a one trip visit. Included was hard cold biscuits, powdered eggs, hash browns that were not brown and undercooked, the sausage gravy was ok but not hot, cheese grits were ok not hot, blue berry bread pudding burnt on the bottom and tasted as if it had no spices, lots of the bacon was burnt, the sausage was the best part. I ordered orange juice that was not much bigger than a shot glass and tasted sour so I sent it back and got water. Our waitress never smiled and looked as if she wished she was anywhere but here. I promise am being kind with my opinion of this experience. I usually don’t complain and was a server in my past but this was by far one of my worst meals ever.

The food was OK but not happy with the add on price for 1 slice of tomato and another add on for one piece lettuce on chicken salad croissant. The sweet tea was so weak it looked like light brown water. The dining area was hot. The waiter did bring in a fan to help. Thanks to him, it was bearable. Our waitress was wonderful. She kept apologizing for rushing us out while they swept up to close. We didn't realize they closed at 2. Other customers left in a rush also. I normally never leave a negative. I am a local of 37 years , my husband was a first class chef and I understand the restaurant business so please don't tag me as a complaining bird. I would hope this critique will encourage the owners to make some positive changes. Not my first time to visit there but had company from NC and was happy to show off Foley. So disappointing 😞

Had brunch with the wife on Friday morning. The Resturant was clean and comfortable. Taylor, our server, was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home. Taylor never let my beverage glass get empty. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The Owner stopped by our table and was very kind as well. We will definitely be putting Southern Shores on our rotation list. Street parking may be a bit intimidating due to the traffic volume so just drive around back or to the corner for a regular parking lot. Don't let traffic deter you from trying Southern Shores Eats.

I came in with my family and ordered the crab cake Benny. I enjoyed every last bite of it. Our server Taylor recommended it and did not disappoint. She served with a smile and turned my day right around. I will be requesting Taylor next time we dine. Thanks for the great experience! We will be back!

This restaurant recently moved in a big and better location. Quaint, Ocean vs Bohemian Atmosphere. I hate to say anything negative as they have a cool thing going but I can only compare to A hip coffee shop serving limited foods and frazzled waitresses. The frappe was Great! Better than Starbucks or McDonald's. The Buffet was confusing as they have 2 different prices. 1 time buffet for $8.99. Then unlimited for $16.99. If you have a hunger man who loves to have seconds; he will be irk. There are other buffet around town that are cheaper and have a variety including fruit..etc. Today's consist of French toast, biscuit, Sausage links, Bacon, Sausage and gravy, grits that taste like gouda cheesy grits, The hashbrown casserole was not casserole it was cheesy, onion hashbrowns & scrambled eggs. The food seem warmer than most and French toast was dry. I guess you have to ask for syrup if you can catch a waitress that can remember. I would consider a tablet so they can write down things. We had to request our table to be clean as there was crumbs on top and food on the side of table & clean silverware. We observed a couple leave with their children after finishing their meal. Later a girl wipe the table but she did not sweep the floor under the table. We observed crumbs around under the table that didn't appear to be cause by the children but piles of crumbs to make a loaf of bread. I am not trying to write a disappointing review I really would love to see this place thrive. We work in Healthcare and our family in another state is restaurant food inspector. I understand these days, it is hard to staff places as we have the same problem in healthcare. I would love to see more deep cleaning. Another suggestion would be since the waitress are so busy taking food orders they leave the ticket with the patron and keep a copy for the restaurant. Maybe the patron pay at the register or somewhere so the waitress can direct their attention to the patrons by helping orders, more Attentive to the patron and Attentive to the cleansing of the tables, silverware and floors. We observed many tickets incorrect and orders to incorrect patron. I would add fruit to buffet or menu to give some lightness to the buffet or menu. They have a similar atmosphere to Southern Grind Coffee House but still need some improvement!

I had an incredible experience at southern shores. Being able to eat my food and play games but yet get a coffee to continue was perfect! Seriously couldn’t have asked for better food drinks and service in foley Definitely recommend 10/10! Asked the owner the inspiration on the menu and fun to find out it’s everything the owner has made herself!
