Check in was great - front staff attentive, friendly and prompt. Dropped off luggage in room and immediately set out to explore the area. The hotel itself is not very convenient to town, but a quick cab ride will get you where you need to go. It was late when we got back and so we were straight to bed. When we had a chance to look around the room in the morning light, we noticed stains/marks on the pillow shams and had a good look at the bathroom. There was some kind of a light reddish/brown liquid splashed on the door jamb and mold or mildew in multiple places in the shower. Kind of glad that we didn't take a good look around before going to sleep, but not happy with the cleanliness of the accommodations.

Stayed here for a business trip. Really nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Food in the restaurant was very very good and reasonably priced too. Room was a little tired in places. Most notable in the bathroom, with some flaking paint. But this was minor. The sauna and jacuzzi were a nice touch. The gym could do with being bigger for the size of hotel and I found it in use when I wanted to use it. Overall would definitely recommend the hotel. I can't comment about the room prices as this was paid for by a business.

Stayed 2 nights in January 2023. Staff is nice. Rooms are clean and well maintained. A plus for the towels service that you can choice to not replace (and save water etc!). Maybe they could put a USB plugs since the UK is a different standard from UE (and I forgot the adaptor). Minus 1 star for the lack of VEGAN option in the meals …

This hotel is perfect for breaks and is situated conveniently in the centre of wrexham, rooms are lovely and clean and comfortable bedding. This also offers a bar and a help yourself breakfast and dinner, good choice of food to suit all

Great place had an executive room that had everything you need. Lovely food in the restaurant. Friendly staff. Hotel is clean and rooms are cleaned daily. Views not the best but the hotel made up for it Close enough for a quick and cheap taxi ride to the centre.

Been here with wife and toddler for graduation event. While the interior feels a bit tired, the friendly service (especially Aggie from breakfast and bar who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable) certainly makes this hotel shine, so we had a great time. Thank you!

New Years Eve dinner and dance - absolutely brilliant, organised with quiet military precision with wonderful staff. Food was sublime. My husband had a fall outside as we arrived, the staff were so kind and although we left early had a really nice night.

Very pleasant stay, twice in a week. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Bed comfortable, light fittings need updating. Breakfast on both occasions was exceptional.

Stay at the hotel was good. Room we got was of fairly good size. Restaurant and the lounge gave good enough option of the food. However, you can also order delivery from other restaurants in Wrexham. As our main aim was to stay near the hospital, hotel's location was perfect.

Great location, lovely and clean interior. Staff are always friendly. Been several times for private functions and always well organised. Had lunch there several times too. Fair prices and plenty of parking.

Rooms are a good size, but very dated and in a poor condition, numerous issues such as: -Peeling Paint -Mouldy Grouting -Cracked Tiles -Scratched surfaces -Creased and yellowing lampshades -No plug sockets by the bed -Slow Wi-Fi The positives are the beds are comfortable, linen and cleaning is to a good standard. I found my room was very quiet and suitable for a goodnights rest. I had a dinner, it was of reasonable quality; if you’re travelling through and need a meal at the end of the day it suffices. The staff are pleasant and conscientious and do deserve to work with a better hotel product. This hotel is clearly lacking investment and needs significant renovations, it’s location is convenient if you have business with the nearby hospital; that locality would be the only reason to stay here.

Was there for 2 hours at a meeting so can't comment on rooms/service/food. But the smell of roast dinners was lovely.

Friendly welcoming staff, rooms are now tired and in need of an update and most definitely not worth the nightly rate. Attended for a wedding and the whole day ran smoothly and food was excellent with plenty of staff waiting on. We had a room that was at the A483 end so quite a lot of traffic noise through out the night. Buffet breakfast was absolutely lovely with plenty of choice and again plentiful staff members all of which were pleasant and welcoming. I would stay again but rooms definitely don't warrent the room rate £135 plus breakfast. Staff are excellent.

We would highly recommend The Ramada to anyone thinking of booking their wedding here. Apart from a few niggles having to transfer rooms we can not fault the level of service from the staff and the food that was served was amazing and plenty of it too. We had a wonderful young team of people looking after us and were so professional making sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. Our overnight stay in the executive suit and breakfast this morning was excellent. Big thank you to everyone this weekend especially our barman Ewan and his manager Lauren who were first class👏🎊 Gavin & Claire

Very accommodating we booked 2 separate rooms for our guests and everything was very satisfactory with no adverse remarks whatsoever have yet to test their hospitality

Our recent stay at Hotel Ramada was overall a good experience. While most of the staff was helpful and friendly, one particular lady seemed a bit less accommodating compared to the others. Nonetheless, the hotel itself was well-maintained and impressively clean. Additionally, the ample free parking spaces without any restrictions were a definite plus. However, in terms of location, there were some inconveniences. We couldn't find a convenient store nearby, but the hotel was situated close to a road that was closed and connected to a hospital. On the upside, we discovered that the nearest supermarket was an Asda, which proved to be a great place to refuel both ourselves and our vehicle. Asda offers the cheapest fuel in the area, and I highly recommend it for this reason. In summary, our stay at Hotel Ramada provided us with a positive experience despite a few minor issues. The cleanliness and parking convenience made up for any shortcomings, and having Asda nearby for fuel and other necessities was a definite advantage.

Nice, clean and comfy rooms, good enough breakfast, poor gym facilities, poor service at the bar, good service at the reception

Lovely welcome from chap on reception. Offered hot choc & tunnocks biscuits. Daughter forgot toothpaste & was offered complementary pack. Stayed overnight before procedure at Yale Hospital. Comfy firm bed. Would recommend. Only negative was weak shower.

Location was very good. Access to plenty of places to visit and eat. Just eat can be delivered with a choice of over 50 eateries. Room cleanliness was OK, not too bad though I did have a dirty hand towel that was left folded next to the bathroom the basin. Bed wasn't too comfortable quite hard, could have done with some nicer pillows too, I woke up sore. Had an issue with a broken tap so I actually scalded myself in the shower to the point I couldn't finish washing my hair as it was far too hot. I couldn't turn the temperature down, had I been with my family and this happened to my children I wouldn't have been best pleased. Staff were lovely though when I brought it to their attention they couldn't have been more apologetic and understanding.

Clean, comfortable hotel with an excellent staff. Walkable to town center and the Cae Ras, but taxi service was not consistent. Will definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed it! For the price is was great, we had the double room on the first floor and it was big spacious and overall luxurious. Hotel has fabulous staff who are friendly and helpful. They also have a small gym, a jacuzzi and a sauna which is the dream. Had a great stay. The only thing was that the bed was in a weird angle, would have appreciate it if it was straight but otherwise, good!

We stayed for one night. The staff were helpful and lovely. The room was very dusty, and felt dirty. The shower curtains had mould growing and stains of some sort. There was lots of dust on the TV, mould in the bath room and the chair had some sort of stains in the middle. God knows what that could of been. TV did not work, reported this but there was nothing they could do.

Bedroom had interconnecting door with adjacent room, which meant You could hear all the coughing, TV, phone conversations and other sounds made by the person in the room next door, as it was not properly acoustically treated. Needless to say that in covid times any gaps around the interconnecting doors could transmit aerosols from the adjacent space. Not impressed. In addition, the restaurant had a chaotic set up and a very limited menu. I’m only giving this hotel a second star because staff were nice.

I will be generous and give it two stars. Room had not been cleaned obvious by pieces of fluff on floor and clothing left behind from previous guest hair dryer was coated in dust, bathroom shower curtain filthy toilet seat loose, cupboard door to safe handle broken could not use safe was promised for it to be fixed over 5 days not done had to ask for complimentry soap to be replenished, when fresh towels replaced old towels left behind. Tea bags thrown on floor inside door and no milk left one day

Great to see parking charges have been dropped. Called in to meet a corporate visitor and have a quick drink. Much better than the parking Eye fiasco.

Great stay. Although our room had a strange noise that came on periodically, the night team moved us to a different one with no further trouble.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ramada Plaza. Our twin rooms were modern, comfortable, clean and spacious and were just the job for our trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good. This was a great location from which to explore North Wales with many beautiful places to visit. Stunning landscapes, good beaches and lots of historical places of interest to visit, only a short drive away. If you're looking for a good hotel in this region, you can't go far wrong here, we would definitely recommend it.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. The room, although an executive, was shabby looking with marks on the paintwork & most lampshades in the room were cracked with holes. Had a meal in the restaurant 1 evening. A 3 course set menu which was a good price. We enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was OK. Sometimes the cooked breakfast items had been sat under the lights too long so eggs could be rubbery. If I had the choice I wouldn't choose to stay here again. It was a disappointing stay for the price.

The lunch time offer is amazing. £12.50 for 3 courses. The food whenever we have been has been first class. The servers are always friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for excellent food and value for money.

Lovely room, spacious. Breakfast was fine if you did not choose the cooked food, everything was overcooked and hard, luckily we had booked room only so the following day, we ate elsewhere. Such a shame as everything else was lovely.

We decided to organise the wake /buffet for my recently deceases wife and as always on such occasions it is almost impossible to foresee the numbers who may attend. We almost had the numbers correct and the facilities, ( private room ) with easy access to the buffet was a delight. There was sufficient food for all and the special arrangements for two people with dietary needs was catered for as well. The hot buffet was well received,as was the cold buffet and desert, thank you Ramada for allowing the final arrangements to go smoothly!

Stayed here with work for the past 4 weeks. In the main it is clean, it has everything I need- a bad, bath/shower, toilet, tv, fridge and safe. The staff have all been very helpful and somewhat attentive. The food- myself and colleagues have eaten in the restaurant and the bar- both have been nice and also reasonably priced too.

Location was great for visiting friends in Wrexham. Made use of the "spa" area while we was on our stay. So the spa is a sauna and a hot tub, its difficult to find, you will have to ask. The changing rooms don't have anywhere to store personal belongings so not a great start. Hot tub was ok, the sauna was great but the general feel around the area is pretty run down with rotten architraves around the door and just generally in need of a refurb. The rooms where pretty similar, the spec was really nice, but the overall appearance let's it down, we had tiles that looked like they where hanging off around the bath panel, but the overall experience was pleasant and OK. Would recommend for a cheap stay - although the price is a little high for what we actually got so that's something the hotel should consider.
