Despite the reviews I went in and was greeted by a man with long hair who seemed pretty alright. The place looked a lot more cleaner too than the last time I was there nearly a year prior. After browsing for a bit I found a Virtual Boy behind the counter. He wanted $250 for it but was willing to go as low as $200. It seemed fair at first but now I'm thinking I should have paid less for it. A quick test at the store proved it worked, but it was another story once I got it home. Turns out after being on for a short while the right lens started glitching out. It's a common issue with the system but now I have to pay extra for repairs. And this was something he was undoubtedly aware of seeing as he said he played it "a lot" before I purchased it. This is what pisses me off about this place, being they are willing to rip off their customers and then refuse to offer refunds. TLDR: Don't buy anything from here unless you're willing to risk having a broken product or shell out extra to repair it. EDIT: In response to the owner's reply, there never was a 7 day guarantee made known to me. I had been there a few times before and the service wasn't bad except on my first visit where I was watched and followed around a year before as if I was going to steal something but I was told all sales were final on more than one occasion in those past visits. This is why I didn't bother calling or returning to complain. I was able to return one item before, once. But only with a lot of grumbling about how it's against store policy. Also an exchange really doesn't help in a case like this seeing as it's considered "rare" and "hard to find". I'd still be out the $200 some bucks I paid for it but this time without a product that I actually wanted.

After seeing a bunch of reviews with a similar experience, I feel like it's worth also sharing mine. I came in with my sons to look around. Never been to this store before. The long haired guy - I didn't catch his name - asked if we needed anything and I told him no was just browsing. No big deal. After a couple moments he came back over to me asked if I needed to see anything. I said no, but I was curious if he had a copy of a game, how much it would cost. He said, I don't have it. Okay, but if you did what would it cost. 'I don't know the prices of all the games off the top of my head,' was his response. I believe at this point he kinda knew he overstepped with that remark and immediately said, I'll go check our other store to see if we have it. So if you have an inventory in your system of the stores. You're telling me don't have a price or even a last sold price of this game if you've ever had it? That's beside the point though. The snarky comment gave me no desire to ever want to shop in this store and I'm fine taking my business to stores with employees who are both helpful and not rude to brand new customers.

It was the first time that my wife, my son and I visited the store. There was a guy with long hair that asked us if we were looking for something and he said no for any of the toys I mentioned. We asked him if it was OK to take a look of the place and his response was " I suppose " extremely rude and very poor customer service. Leaving the store I mentioned that if he is not happy with his job he should work somewhere else.

Should really consider hiring a new employee. Every time I go in here the guy behind the counter is rude and turns me off from buying things I wouldve actually bought if customer service wasn't so repulsive. A 16 year old working at Walmart has more professionalism than this clown. Go to Dpad they actually know how customer service works. I'm amazed this place still operates and all the 1 star reviews (this place has a lot) reflect the exact experience you will recieve.

Literally never open. I have visited 3 times. Once during normal business hours on a Tuesday: closed Tuesday. I learned that they are only open a few days a week, from 3:30 to 7:30. I have returned on these days during these hours twice; they are literally never open. Tonight the lights are on, the open sign is on, but the door is locked, with a note saying they will be back at 6...it's 430. Your store is open for 4 hours today, and nobody can be bothered to open up to take my money. Unreal.

Store staff/owner is friendly (if not a bit awkward but hey, most of us nerds are right?) and the shop is a cute collection of old games, plushies, and art items from different cons and places. Super cool!

I was at this store. I was pondering whether or not I should get an xbox. There’s this Weird guy with long hair who acts like he’s stoned all the time. While I was pondering, the guy pulls out his guitar and starts strumming away, while I was talking to him. We agreed that I would pay 60 dollars for the Xbox and the games, but I wanted to wait until the next day, don’t remember why. I go there the next day, and he jacked up the price to 70 dollars for no reason. I don’t care, so I spend the extra 10 dollars, but I didn’t get the games or the cables, so I drive back there to get them. Also they tried to give me 10 dollars for a gba sp. go to d pad across the street. Its better

I’ve been in this place over a dozen times and spent over $500 only for some lady running the counter to tell my 8 year old to leave when he was upset when I told him he couldn’t buy something. She then told me to take some trash out that I didn’t bring into the store. The usual middle aged women is very nice and her customer service is top notch. This will be the last time I visit the store. Sad.

Walked up to the door after 1pm 2 Saturdays ago. Open sign is on, store sign is on the sidewalk. Owner is at the counter and door is locked. Not sure if they were still not open or what. Decent selection when you can get in during hours but can't rely on business hours.

Two stars because the employee who was there was friendly. We went in a week or so ago because we've always driven by and never stopped. We figured we would check it out to see if this was a good place for Pokemon cards for my nephews. They've had some theft issues in the past so be aware when you walk to the door, the front door is locked and needs to be opened by an employee, and while you're in the store they lock the door (very odd but it is what it is). The sealed products we looked at are waayyy overpriced (almost double what other small businesses we visited charge for it) as well as some of the opened products they have on display. Now to talk about their system for viewing their trading card inventory, it's very "unique" and not in a good way. I guess it's their attempt to minimize theft (understandable) but it's not very efficient. The main reason why we won't be going back is due to the price gouging on some products. I couldn't get over the fact that they were charging almost double for a product we saw at a different store a few blocks away.

It was ok. Lots of different variety of things including records and old game consoles and cartridges. Not a lot in the way of collectible cards though which is what we went to check out

There was a lot of cool stuff in here, most of the good records were in a place where you couldn’t actually see or look through them and had to try and read the used edges for the person working to bring them out one by one. Purchased a record, later saw part of a target exclusive sticker on it and I looked it up - I was charged wayyy over target’s price for a nice condition, but still used vinyl. I could have purchased it brand new for much cheaper. Most record stores I’ve been to have been to don’t upcharge commercial records like that and are more transparent and helpful. Was considering going back until I realized I was ripped off. For that and the scattered assistance from the lady that worked there, I won’t be going back.

Nice place for old Games and comics, some selection of TCG. They even have a selection of Vinyl, CD's and a few Cassettes. Give them a look you may find a hidden Gem.

What a great variety of product. All sorts of killer stuff at killer prices. Games of all sorts and music equipment to boot! I found some really awesome and obscure stuff specific to my liking. I've been a long time collector of modern D&D stuff and I have never seen these early D&D Miniatures in-box in-person. I was totally flabbergasted. Highly recommended. Awesome location, staff, and all around retail Xperience.

Had a wonderful experience with the new clerk, I wish I caught her name but she was incredible. She knew a ton about the games I was looking for and was really approachable and polite. A stark contrast from the usual clerk: the last time I tried to visit, over an hour before closing, the man had already locked the door, when he heard me try the door he opened it and asked what I needed, when I said I wanted to look at Nintendo games he said he needed to close and closed the door in my face, relocking it. Although the store didn’t have the game I was looking for today, the experience was so pleasant compared to normal I bought some things anyways. Please schedule the blonde clerk more often! 💕

I know some of you reviewers are gonna get mad at me for this, but I actually had a good experience here. This place has everything from collectables, to vintage games and comics. I offered to sell a Gameboy cartridge for a reasonable price and the lady at the counter took the time to make sure it was a good deal. While I waited for that, I got to see a collection of hidden gems I wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. Once my deal went through, the employee offered me in-store credit and more sell options. I didn't see anything I wanted that wasn't too expensive, but in Game-Xplosion's defense, I didn't see any of these products in the big league stores. I overall had a great visit and would definitely come back here.

Randomly stopped by and was quickly amazed with how much stuff they had, if you like a place with a lot of variety of things I’d recommend it. The lady was super nice and was very helpful. Ended up coming back and had a pleasant time trading in some things for store credit.

The woman working the counter was super nice and very helpful. They have tons of cool pins, stickers, and decals. It's a neat little local place. Prices are pretty reasonable and they have quite a few older consoles and games. Overall, the selection isn't too bad.
