It is no secret why this local restaurant has been around for as long as it has. Atmosphere, service, and food and drink creativity and quality all contribute to its well-earned reputation. Best for groups of 4 or less, ideal for couples on a first date or 101st date, the dining area offers a cozy and intimate setting with low noise level. One of our favorite places.

I really liked this place but it’s kind of pricey for a lunch. But the pizzette was really good, salmon salad was great and the pasta was good as well! Pretty big menu, and it’s a cute little restaurant.

We found this place looking for a good looking restaurant after driving to town for a weekend trip — and then ate some of the best Italian food we’ve had. Waitstaff was all kind and courteous, despite being slammed! Every cocktail and dish we ordered was delicious and we were so happy we found this place! I was struggling to pick a drink (because seriously, all of the cocktails sounded delicious) and our server gave me a great rundown of what she liked about the two drinks I was deciding between. We also thought all of the appetizers sounded delicious and so asked her which was her favorite and it was some of the best bruschetta I’ve had. Our entrees were also delicious, and since we took a bit of a leisurely pace eating, we were able to save room for their delicious créeme brûlée and they even have an espresso bar so we were able to sip espressos while we had dessert. Wonderful experience and delicious food. What a gem!

We had a small birthday group for a friend here and it was a great place for that! A little pricey but good portions and quality pizza/pasta. The service there was my favorite part. The waiter was so friendly and happy! We were told the best thing about this place was the dessert, so I recommend the full experience of a meal here!

We absolutely love Villa Dolce! The food is wonderful. The staff is so kind and inviting. This is our regular go-to place for a lovely Italian meal. The only down side is the cost. The prices are super high and we can't really understand why. Regardless, we will always come back to Villa Dolce.

Writing this mainly to let you know: If you're trying to decide between the mushroom ravioli and anything else, get the mushroom ravioli! Best I have EVER EVER had, every bite was amazing! The filling wasn't just mushy cheesy bits of mushroom it was REAL mushrooms and the cream sauce was liquid gold - delicate and flavorful, not too heavy. You can't really go wrong here - everything is SO good - but I also recommend the burrata caprese appetizer - simply incredible. The crab/lemon bruschetta appetizer was good but for five of us, more than 1 was too much and definitely get the burrata. The beet/goat cheese salad I would prefer with not so much arugula - would be lighter and less overpowering to use endive. Another winner here is the shrimp/pasta combos; the shrimp is large and sweet and perfectly grilled here. We weren't super into the lemon mascarpone berry cake for dessert - would choose something else (very heavy and sweet) - the grapefruit and blood orange sorbets were AMAZING. As always, the staff was friendly, attentive, and so helpful. Ginny was super sweet and so fun - and fast and efficient to boot! We had an amazing night at Villa Dolce and will always choose it as our Madison/Middleton spot for a special meal.

Local hotel recommend I visit so I sent. Cool little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Google maps does not show how busy it is correctly. Service was solid. The MSP pizza I ordered was amazing. I will visit again on the future.

My friends and I decided to visit during Winter Restaurant Week. For starters I had the Tomato Bisque Soup, which was full of flavor and included croutons and a little bit of cheese in top. My entree was Braised Lamb Shoulder w/whipped potatoes, roasted vegetables and lamb demi Glace. The lamb was good and tender with hardly any fat. The veggies were good, but would've liked more. For dessert I had the Flourless Chocolate Torte, and that was very good. All around good experience and would like to go back and try other items on the menu.

Service and vibe was lovely. Food was not at all what you pay for. Pizzas came out cold and tasted only okay, friend said pasta was good, but nowhere close to worth the price tag.

I was finally able to try this place- it’s been on my list! The goat cheese bruschetta was delicious, and so was my Capellini! The service was friendly and it’s very cozy inside. Would certainly recommend, especially for a date night!

Service was ok, food was average for the price. Shrimp in the shrimp scampi was overcooked and hard. Dish itself looked good, just was not great for $29.

This was a pleasant bistro for dinner with friends. We each had pizza and a half sized salad. Everything was fresh and tasty. The pizza crust thin and crispy. It was also 1/2 price bottles of wine night (Wednesday) perfect for 4 people to share. They also have a gelato bar at the front of the restaurant. The kids who were ordering cones enthusiastically said it was very good.

Here’s a summary of our visit 1. We made a reservation a day in advanced, highly recommend if a Friday or Saturday night. You have to call and reserve as the online reservation does is not working 2. Appetizers, drinks, food and dessert were great! We ended up taking a quart if gelato home. 3. The service was great, we got what we needed in time and very polite staff 4. The dining area is small and you might feel “crammed” Our bill was close to $200 (drinks, appetizers, entre, dessert to go)with tip included, would definitely be back to try more food

The Gelato is always amazing! We love the Chocolate and lemon! They have fantastic pizza and a nice sitting area outside. I love how it's casual but gourmet. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they also have a nice wine list. The only negative is they are not open on Sundays! We live right down the road and love walking DT Middleton on the weekends.....it would be nice to grab a Gelato and some lunch here on a Sunday or a few glasses of wine with friends.

Disappointed no happy hour prices...the website still states happy hour. The excuse was, "no longer since COVID." What's COVID have to do with HH prices? You're still open for business and that's good. Let's not use COVID as an excuse for all financial burdens to the consumer/customer.

Very quaint 1950s vibe, attentive service, well mixed drinks, the variety of appetizers were all good, the eggplant parmigiana, shrimp and scallops linguini are worth a second visit for sure. Be sure to have their wonderful tiramisu.
