The Jagannath Temple is located at Rajbati in Sundargarh. It is one of the most famous Hindu temples in Sundargarh. Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are also worshiped in the temple. The temple was built in 1916 by Raja Raghunath Sekhar Deo of Gangpur state. Apart from the other 13 festivals, the main festival is Ratha Yatra. Which is celebrated every year with thousands of devotees. The first rath yatra was started in 1921/22 by Raja Bhawani Shekhar Deo, grandson of King Raghunath Shekhar Deo. It is located about 3 Km from the Sundargarh New Bus Stand.
