I’ve eaten and had a beer here a few times and it has always been excellent. Today however, the owner surpassed his own high standards by introducing me to his own creation a flaesksteg burger with home made crisps and brown sauce. This is the most succulent of pork cuts seemingly unique to Denmark with crispy cracklings and lashings of rich Danish Brown Sauce ( not to be confused with any of the bottled stuff) - it was without a doubt the best burger I have ever had, and I’ve lived a life, tusind tak, Mads 👍🇩🇰

If you ever come to Falster Island in Denmark you must have a "Pitstop" here. We've been here twice and really love this place. Very tasty burgers, fries and not to forget the cheese cake :). And everything is home made, too. But what impressed us most is the overall experience. Lovely atmosphere where you can see and feel how much blood, sweat and tears these guys put in there. No matter how busy the place is you will always feel welcome. Vi ses næste år!

Of our lovely recent holidays in Denmark, the visit to the Café Pitstop in the small town of Idestrup was one of the greatest experiences we had in this country. First off, we don't think we ever met any restaurant owners nicer than Tea and Mads. With their friendliness and kindness, which go way beyond professional courtesy, they really make this place shine and make you feel at home. And really, from the beautifully renovated building, their cute poodle mix Ralphie Rainbow, who will greet you at the door, to the best burgers you can hope to taste: What's not to like about the Café Pitstop? Everything here is made with passion, which you can already tell by the way Mads explains the secrets and storys behind each burger. He used to travel the world for years and picked up influences and recipes in every restaurants he worked at in different continents and countries. With this as a fascinating and diversified foundation, he creates his own mouth-watering burgers – all made of fresh and local meat and vegetables. Also, you should treat yourself to the locally produced apple juice or the excellent beer. And then, there are Tea's fabulous desserts like the lemon tart we enjoyed a lot. As the name says, the place is also known for Tea's cakes. We've read rave reviews on her cheese cake, for instance. Another thing worth mentioning, too: Currently, the Café Pitstop is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Every Wednesday, there's a special thing going on here: You won't have the burger menu to choose from then. However, instead you will be treated to an ever-changing, but always excellent dish, that Mads offers to a special price. On these days, many local people will visit the restaurant, it's a kind of community thing, where the town's people get together and Mads and Tea express their love and respect for them, since they feel very much a part of their community. I could go on singing the praise of the Café Pitstop forever, but I won't. After all, you have to come here, see it all by yourself and spend an evening you are not likely to forget. The only thing we regret is simply, that we don't we live closer to Denmark and Idestrup, because we would surely make this place our regular haunt!

Almost cycled past it late in the evening, I'm glad that I turned around and stopped to eat. Two lovely fellas running the place and the stew they served that evening was amazing. Really what I needed and not too pricey either. I will definitely be back to try the burger one day! Good luck and keep up the good work.

Wonderful little restaurant with the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Owner was super nice and spoke perfect English. Outside seating was available so we were able to take our dog. Cannot recommend enough!

Perfect Burger Restaurant with very kind chef and staff! Menu only in Danish, but they help translating and recommend burgers fitting your preferences. Very delicious fries/pommes. Thanks, guys! It was a perfect Pitstop on the way to the ferry!

Great place for dinner with tasty burgers. The prices are fair especially for local ingredients. It has a homey atmosphere and the charming owner and staff make this place shine.
