A fitting memorial of those anarchists and comrades who fought for liberty and list their lives in the Spanish civil war. Located at one of the most beautiful views of the city.

La Mano is a sculpture in memory of the Swedes (roughly 500) who participated and fell victim (170) in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39 on the Republican side, in defense of democracy and the revolutionary successes achieved mainly in northern Spain. The land of the large landowners was distributed to farmers and users and work was democratized in the cities so that the workers managed and controlled their workplace. La Mano stands discreetly on Katarinavägen, from where one of Stockholm's most beautiful views spreads out.

A monument to the Swedish brigade members who came to fight for the Spanish Republic, for its democratic and solidarity ideals. The place is a little far from the center but you can walk there, enjoying very good views.
