4.25 ⭐️ - loved the Calamvale one! Nice clean space & great selection of food & drinks. Some dishes are a bit pricey but portion sizes are decent. Tried the; 🍚 Hainan chicken - amazing! Chicken is cooked well, portion may look small but there's no bones which is good. 🍚 Poached chicken w/ sand ginger sauce - this one is not as good as the hainan one. Needs more sauce and was basic 🍚 Hainan chicken in sichuan sauce - sauce wasn't like the photo & not as spicy 🍚 Curry fish balls - tasted as it looked 🍚 Crispy bean curd - nice & crispy with good filling 🍚 Honey butter / sichuan fried chicken - delicious, nice & juicy! Highly recommend the honey butter. The sichuan was a bit dry & powdery 🍚 Milk tea- good tea flavour, just like how it tastes in HK

Clean environment and friendly service. The chicken with sichuan spicy sauce was delicious. Hainan chicken was tasteless but good with the sauce aside. The fried chicken was not well done, there was blood dripping out after the first few bites. And the chicken itself was tasteless as well. I’d not order that fried chicken ever again. It will be great if there’s wider variety of dishes to choose from.

Have always heard good things about Mui G but never got to try it until recently, and I'm very glad I did because we had a great experience! 🙌 Mui G is located in Sunnypark Shopping centre and they serve some amazing Hong Kong style dishes! One of their most popular items is the Onsen Chicken (commonly known as Hainan chicken). They also have a signature noodle soup where you can choose your own soup and toppings. In addition to these, you have a variety of side dishes and drinks 😍 We tried a few noodle dishes and Onsen chicken rice dishes along wit a few side dishes such as honey butter chicken, bandit chicken, curry fish balls and fried oysters. I would totally recommend their fried chicken - they are delicious! Both the noodle and rice dishes were also great and well-priced as well! 💯 If you haven't been to Mui G yet, I would definitely recommend checking them out! 🙌

This is not a vegetarian rice noodle but I could barely find my meat in the bowl. I thought the thinnest meat would be in a Japanese ramen restaurant, but the chef here changed my mind. And even worse, I was charged $17.90 for a bowl of pork belly rice noodle that had only 3.5 slices of meat and were of the same quality as any regular food court you'd find in Sunnybank. Overpriced restaurants and won’t recommend to anyone.

It's nice that the onsen chicken at Mui G Kitchen get to take a "hot spring spa" (marketing speak for sous vide?) enroute to the table cos it makes the meat so tender and juicy to eat! Couldn't pass up the Hainan chicken rice and was surprised to see a fried version so thought we'd get one of each to compare. The fried comes as a Maryland piece and for me I'd recommend sticking with the non-fried, for which I reckon you get a larger portion of meat. The chicken rice we received looked different to the menu photos and had been cooked/served with more ingredients - made it nice and flavourful though. The accompanying sides with both dishes complimented the meat and rice well - overall quite enjoyable. Also tried the seven spice crispy squid tentacles that I've seen other people recommend. This is indeed pretty delicious however I thought the portion was on the small side given the price. Ordering is at the counter, where there's also some self service water available. The eatery plays a Cantopop soundtrack and can get quite noisy echo-y when busy. There's a 1.5% card surcharge, no Amex/Diners, and a cash discount of I think 3%, which saved us $1.20 on our total bill. Our order: * Hainan chicken with chicken rice, $15.90 * Hainan fried chicken with chicken rice, $15.90 * Seven spice crispy squid tentacles, $10 I never got to try this place before they overhauled their menu to focus on onsen chicken and noodle dishes, which I kinda regret. Definitely coming back for more of the poached chicken though! P.S. dig their 'rooster' crockery - gives it some old school charm if you're familiar with seeing such things growing up.

A great place to go to, to satisfy your Hainanese chicken rice craving 😋 The chicken is moist and tender, and a great portion served with equally flavourful chicken rice 🍚 and dipping sauces. Just wish it was served with hot chicken broth. The noodle soups 🍜 seem popular but a little expensive with the add-ons. + Friendly staff + Free parking outside

Midweek dinner with some work mates, small venue but quick turnover so not a long wait. Food was tasty and we all left satisfied. Tried the onsen chicken rice with Szechuan sauce and some snacks (pork belly slices and fried chicken).

Updated 18/6/22: haven't been here for over a year and first time trying Mui G's updated lunch menu. Ordered the Hainan chicken rice, tomato noodle soup with mixed vegetables and peppery pig stomach noodle soup with pickled mustard greens. Hainan chicken rice was awesome, came with a couple of dipping sauces, pickled vegetables as a side dish, the chicken was nice and tender and the rice was aromatic. Pepper pig stomach might not be everyone's type of food but soup packed amazing umami taste. The tomato soup was ok but bit of a let down compared to the other two dishes. Good for vegetarians but if I had my time again I would of picked another noodle dish or chicken rice dish. All dishes were $15.9 each. If you pay by card there's a 1.5% service fee. Mui G serves authentic HK style food. We ordered the $70 set which came with 2 sides and 3 mains and complimentary soup/rice. The flavours were great, tasted like a home cooked meal. The fried pork chop and chicken winglets were crispy and juicy. This set definitely fills up 4 people easily. The customer service is good and food comes out quickly.

You’ve gotta try the Hainanese chicken rice! It’s incredibly tender and when it comes to noodle soup, go for hot and soup soup!

Had the onsen chicken here. Softest and juiciest chicken I've tasted. Delicious and can recommend. Be warned it is a tad spicy though. Will be back to try their Hainan chicken rice!

The rice noodle menu is much more attractive than their signature chicken rice set. The taste is incredible without doubt. Just one con is the fried chicken a little bit uncooked.

A few weeks back, I found myself at Mui G Kitchen in Sunnybank, catching up with friends recently returned from Europe. It wasn't my first rodeo at this eatery (the one with the same name elsewhere), known for its Hainanese chicken, a dish I found satisfactory, for sure, but not sensational. On this visit, I decided to dance with spice, opting for one of their noodle dishes. It was decent, hit the spot, but failed to ignite any culinary fireworks within. In essence, Mui G Kitchen offers a comfortable setting for a meal. I'd gladly return if invited, but it doesn't inspire any gastronomic daydreams. It's a reliable spot for a decent meal but doesn't rise to the heights of a must-visit culinary destination.

Best chicken rice I've had in years! Noodles was reasonably good but will come back for the chicken rice!

I am not sure what the rave is. The chicken is tender but lacks any decent flavour. The service was some what rude (I only accept rude service if the food is good in Asian restaurant). When the food is bad and the service is bad. 2 star is generous...
