Great hotel bistro not offering up the usual fare. Delightful dining area with cosy but spacious table seating. Wednesday night steak special a must do at least once. Staff extremely polite and happy.

Visited the new refurbished Rocklea Hotel last night. I thoroughly enjoyed a pumpkin and haloumi salad and my husbands steak and mushroom sauce was tender and tasty. Fabulous friendly service and great food and ambience. For anyone who loves steak there is a $17, 250g rump special on Wednesday nights, and on Monday to Friday $15 lunch specials. Great spot!

The steak sandwich is the best I’ve had in a long time it just feels a little off inside very old and outdated.

Best steak I have had in a long time. I ordered medium rare and was perfect, the creamy garlic sauce was also amazing. Came out bloody quick also considering how packed the place was. As I'm staying across the road I'm heading back again for the same tonight. Highly recommend if your a steak lover.

We decided to go to the Rocklea Hotel for a meal out of the blue. To our surprise, the service was great & the food were amazingly yummy. We ordered a 500gm Rib Eye on the bone & a Mediterranean Parmigiana. Steak was flavoursome & so tender, it melt in the mouth. The Parmi was one of the best we had in a very long time. Definitely will be coming back here again🥰

Atmosphere was better than it was previously. There was 2 of us dining both steaks were asked for medium rare, both came out well-done. When we notified staff they gave attitude and eventually replaced the steak. The second steak came out cold like it was sitting on the side for 15 min. Wouldn't go back.

This hotel has undergone a bit of a refurbishment on the inside are (mainly the dining) and it looks good. Essentially it is really a 'working mans' pub. Parking could be a challenge- not a lot of space out the back to park. Food choices are what you would expect, standard pub food plus a few more options and the quality is above average. Beer selections are very mundane. No real good options there, unfortunately. Really limited. The staff are excellent. Polite, efficient, friendly and engaging. Service is very good. 😊

OMG table service for beer wow and the meals are wonderful. I thanked the chef and found out they make all there own sauces and prep meals themselves FRESH. No pre frozen like most pubs. Staff are super friendly and great historic photos on the walls. Lunch is a must

Friday night at the Rocklea. Tried the calamari with side order of chips. Calamari was tender. Not chewy at all. Nice dusting of flavour too. Chips were thick as I like them. My kids liked their ham and cheese pizza. They accommodated my husbands request for a spicy chicken burger by adding chilli sauce to it. Everything was tasty and served quickly. Our server was helpful too. Recommended dishes and cleaned the table quickly once we were finished.

Shhhhh!!!!! Keep this to yourself. This place is great for a really nice, quiet family meal.... And the food is great. Took the wife on a Friday night for a casual meal and she thought the food was great, so did I. NOTE: Photo not really my meal but you get the idea.

Service is good food is average for the price alcohol expenses. But the worst part why trying to understand the lay out to go from the pool table to the toilet I have to walk through the cramped dinning room. For a Saturday night it was a waste of money place was dead at 9pm you need live music or just music until they do some changes to layout I won't be returning

For me the rocklea hotels establishment holds one of the best pub steaks I've ever had at a reasonable price also cooked to perfection (still running around the paddock for me ) and great choice of sides . Brilliant staff too!!

Totally enjoy the Saturday afternoon punting session with the mates in the TAB section of the public bar. Great staff and steaks are excellent. Hotel has the atmosphere of a country pub so close to cbd.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food and service here are top notch. The old Rocklea pub has really lifted its game and for the price and location it’s hard to find a steak this good!!

We drive to the Rocklea Hotel from the other side of Brisbane. Ordered two eye fillets and the were the best steaks that I have had. Probably eaten there 15 times in the last 12 months and never had a bad meal or bad service. The size and quality is best by fare. It’s nice to get good old fashion service.

Our group of close friends rarely get to catch up these days as we're all around 50. I suggested the RH for our catch up as I heard from another mate it was excellent. They were right. We all enjoyed a wonderful meal. The service was friendly and inviting, the atmosphere typical of a good old fashioned pub, and the price was better than reasonable. Would highly recommend. Definitely coming back here.

The 500g rump steak was cooked to my required medium to rare perfection. It was served with crunchy chips and garden salad. I had diane sauce with my steak. I didn't even need salt and pepper. The buffalo wings were also very tasty.
