We happened to find Salina on one of our walks exploring the alleyways of Moorooka. I am so glad that we decided to try the coffee, and returned for some food later on. The deco at Salina is simple and it beautifully showcases Eritrean culture. The food menu consists of a few dishes which seem to be done extremely well. We tried the Key Wot (beef stew) this time, and it tasted really good. The Injera perfectly complimented the dish as well. Do visit Salina if you are in the area or if you would like to try some good Eritrean/Ethiopian food.

Can enjoy the African experience of coffee with ginger it is like being Djakarta Indonesia and buy the Kopi Sultan. Very tasty and exquisite because has the cultural difference and in cold weather it makes for good circulation boost in two times as much.

I haven’t reviewed a restaurant for a while but felt compelled to comment on this little place hidden down a Moorooka lane. The menu is tiny, the decor simple and there is no air con , only fans but the atmosphere is definitely out of Africa and the food is great! Delicious halal meat and vegetable curries are dolloped on huge spongy injera pancakes . One is enough for 2. The cardamon infused tea is served in a pretty slightly grandly occasional set. Would definitely recommend this inexpensive hidden gem.
