Tried to book an appointment. Really disappointed with how I was treated. I told the administration that I could only attend the Woolloongabba clinic after 3:30pm, any weekday, but Tuesday. I initially agreed to book-in on a Tuesday, for just one appointment, and they told me that the rest could be booked on other days of the week at the times I required. I was told to pay a deposit and once that was paid, they would call to book me in for follow-up appointments. That never happened, and I had to call back a few weeks later. When I tried to book the follow-up appointments, they suddenly said none were available after 3:30pm. I even asked if I could book-in a year in the future as I have been trying to find a psychologist for months. They refused as said that they could only schedule appointments in Tuesday's at the Woolloongabba clinic. That was not what I was told when I booked the initial appointment. If I had known that information, I wouldn't have taken time off work to organise a mental health care plan for their clinic. Now I have to go through the whole process again, which will take at least 6 months. Really disappointed with their poor communication and organisation.

My psychologist and I discussed what was troubling me. I was never made to feel I have a mental sickness. Instead, my psychologist made me feel respected as a person. He helped me develop better ways to deal with my issues.

have been attending the wooloogabba location for over a year now. Dr Eleanor Tan is absolutely wonderful. She's very genuine and is able to talk you down from over-elevated moods quite well. Also, as someone who had issues stemming from internet culture problems and transgender issues, she was knowledgeable enough about those things to not require me to spend time in my sessions explaining the concepts I was grappling with. The receptionists are wonderful and will take the extra time to ensure any problems are resolved. Also they offer tea while you're in the waiting room which is very based and teapilled. I will say that I HAVE heard some criticisms of one of the other therapists on offer regarding trans patients so perhaps give that a quick peruse online before you settle on your preferences of therapist.

Fantastic level of care at Brisbane CBD. Admin are friendly, super helpful and make me feel really welcomed every time without fail. Hot drink always offered on arrival. It’s quiet and peaceful, and calling/emailing is a breeze. Bonnie is a fantastic psychologist - I look forward to my appointments and always leave feeling optimistic and more balanced.

At the end of last year i had booked an appointment. Things are tuff wait lists are long. So i understand. I had waited 3 months for my appointment and a week before they informed me that it was going to be a zoom call. I had a reation to this, and now i understand why as ive just been diagnosied through a diffrent clinic with ADHD. The way i gather infomation infomation is diffrent and i find it very hard to concentrate taking in infomation on a screen. But who was to know. I was desperate to see someone and so they booked me with someone i worried i wasnt going to be compatible with... but again i was desperate. They put me on a wait list and the person ended up having a cancerlation the following week. So my major complaint is why was i not put on a waiting list in the first place. I just felt really miss managed buy the practise. And i spent all my time whilst being super stressed trying to deal with my perception of how they where treating me. CBT didnt work for me, made me hyper focus on every thought, which made me worse. But now i have a much better understanding. I feel thats an honest reflection of my expereance. This was at the woollongabba office. But i think its moved. Do seek help its worth it when you find the right person. Just turn out the center for human potenial was not the place for me.

Have been attending this practice (woolloongabba) for over a year now, best practice I have been to. They are inclusive and make everyone feel safe and welcome. All staff have been so friendly and helpful, from my initial first phone call to now every time I visit or call. Highly recommend.

This is possibly the most "human" psychologist I have come across. I have been to several practices in the past with my complex and long mental health history. My psychologist at CFHP demonstrated what it really means to have the human touch and not someone just interested in applying a technique to me.

I had to wait ages for an appointment, when I first called up I told the guy on the phone the kinds of issues I had and he set me up with somebody who didn't even have those issues on their bio page on the website. I finally got in with someone who was suppose to be more specialized in the issues I wanted to talk about. It felt really one sided like the person was almost overwhelmed with what I was trying to explain to them. Then when I was trying to talk about a really important issue I was cut off and apparently that was the end of my appointment. There is no disabled bathroom available. There is no signage or anything on the street telling you where they are. They are somehow able to employ 4 receptionists with how much they overcharge you. There was nobody else in the waiting room when I got there.
