We just came here by accident. We were supposed to try a nearby dessert place but decided yo have lunch first and my friend wants a japanese restaurant. I think we chose the right restaurant because this one is one of the authentic yet cheap japanese restaurant I've been to. I ordered the chicken karaage rive bowl. The actual chicken is soft and juicy while the exterior breading is crispy. It comes with a tasty miso soup on the side. My friend ordered pork tonkatsu with a side salad. The pork is not too greasy and quite tasty. The breading is cridpy and when the pork is dipped in the herb-based sauce, it just adds a zesty herb taste on it (huge fan here!). The salad has a sesame oil based dressing which gives the salad a nutty taste which compliments the fat from the pork. The food was really good. I loved the quick service and the staff being approchable.

The food here is authentic and fabulous. Tastes not only good but the attention to detail is amazing and I love their presentation. The Japanese staff is super polite and friendly and very hardworking managing the entire shop floor on her own. There are occasional promotions and you're able to pre-order your meal online through their website. Takeaway is also available and they do get crowded during weekends. Highly recommended for lunches and dinners.

This Japanese restaurant serve some of my favourite Japanese dishes. I highly recommend Teriyaki Chicken Bento, Amakara Pork Bento and Yakiniku Beef Curry. It’s fantastic, spending two meals for two people and getting an extra dish for $1. It’s very filling and very yummy. Thanks for the delicious food~ :D

Absolutely delicious! The perfectly sumptuous and healthy hot pot to have for dinner during winter. Love everything in it; salmon, enoki mushrooms, cabbage, spinach, tofu, mussels, crab sticks and the wonderful and beautiful miso broth that brought it all home. We also adore the cozy dining ambiance the restaurant had, it had this authentic Japanese feel to it. So low key, so humble and so comforting. ❤️ Staff was friendly and polite. Would definitely return soon and I recommend everyone to visit and try the food. Authentic Japanese meals that’s worth every penny! 🤤🥰

Food came out very fast, service was quite good. Food quality is acceptable, but needs to improve. The Chirashi Don is not really a Chirashi Don. It's a fresh sashmi salmon don with 1 piece of fresh scallop and unagi.

Thanks for taking last minute order. I jump in 8:20pm, and their closing time is 8:30pm. The food is incredible amazing. The salmon don come with salads, miso soup and dressing. It really big for me. My husband chose the grilled salmon don set. And we also added today's special for $1.

It seems they changed their management recently, menu has changed they don't have ramen or other things from last menu. Still they have the specials for lunch at good price with good portions. And also great plus they open from 2pm to 5pm all day service with specials in those afternoon hours. That's great as it is usually hard to find a restaurant open after 2pm. Food was good. Could be better. I asked the staff about the paper plates and those are gone. They are using the normal ceramic plates again. I would come back for those specials.

Food was tasty though meat for both dishes a little overcooked/chewy (braised pork and ox tongue). It would be nice to have abit more menu details re: spiciness as both the kara chips and the ox tongue dishes had a small amount of spice that was not expected. Overall, reasonable sized meals for the price.

Really great food and service here! The prices are very reasonable. The lunch special Nanban Don is the best I have ever tasted with a really great price!!!!

Even when this is still a new business it’s still so enjoyable! A 10/10 experience, especially with the food that is delivered. You should definitely come here if wanting to experience Japanese cuisines. Just a warning, the menu is still forming with new dishes so it’ll be little to pick.

Update on 18,08,2023 seems they changed ther owner recently, under new ownership, the change have swept through, yet the lunch specials maintain their appeal with generous portions and pocket-friendly prices. However, a shadow has fallen on the food quality, showing signs of decline. TERI CHICKEN DON $15.8 Sauteed Tender Chicken w Homemade Teriyaki Sauce, comparing with the crazy prices in BNE now, and pretty generous portion on rice, is kind of cheap. Misoyaki Salmon Don $ 18.80 TAKO WASABI 芥末章魚 タコワサビ $6.80 The menu choices are limited, restaurant environment was fair, The food was so so. We had lunch here not sure with dinner menu, but it looks like it has a few more options for dinner such as Japanese hot pot, not sure is it limited or special meal tho. 環境普普通通一間餐廳。嘢食都普普通通，餐牌好少嘢揀，晚餐好似會多個火鍋。 But if you look at the price, I was say everything is okay, is cheap is I wouldn’t expect too much. Very good karaage chicken using the breast part but very moist and the wasabi mayo was a great pairing too.

One of the few restaurants in the area that doesn't have surcharge if pay by card. Food was also delicious. The daily special was more than worth it. Will be back again!

The foot is really good and such a comfort food. One of the best Japanese food around pinelands Plaza and sunnybank area. Recently they changed the bowl to paper bowl and it tastes good. Pork curry is pretty good and nanban chicken is creamy and feels authentic. You can get a side dish for $1 (depending on what days and what they offer) if you spend over $28. 2 people spend $30 ish. So it’s worth it and would come back!

Very rich Japanese curry, a little sweet, a little spicy, and has an onion flavor. It is very similar to the curry I ate in Japan. The pork chops crispy are thin and the pork is also very soft. The overall food gives Full marks, but the seats are small. In addition, I prefer pork chops without curry sauce. I like to use dipped

Fantastic Japanese food, there were heaps of choices and everything we ordered was delicious with generous portion sizes.

Kokoro is a nice surprise when going for japanese serendiputously. My friends and I all ordered different meal sets with agedashi tofu, chicken nanban, miso salmon, sushi, and curry. The price point is well worth it for japanese curry this good, i found myself polishing curry off my plate! Although trying to get things amended or altered is a bit of a hassle. A friend had an almost rude response once and I've had lukewarm miso soup come back scalding..

Very average food for the price, sashimi wasn’t that fresh. Wasabi tako & pork katsu was good and would recommend.

The menu was a little light on selection. Not a lot of atmosphere in this restaurant. Meals were ok but the waitress messed up our initial order and offered to get a replacement which was good. Service was fast. I was looking forward to the traditional Japanese meal but all in all a little disappointing. Pricing was fair enough.
