Excellent experience, it is not often a cafe has google ratings this high. You have to visit to see why. The food is excellent, there is a variety to their food menu, it is not the same boring dishes that every cafe has, ( though those are there too). It seems like the location is not the nicest, but surprisingly it's not that bad, and of course with excellent food and service your attention is quickly drawn elsewhere. We had the Golden Eggs with bacon and a pancetta for breakfast. Both were exceptional. Plating was beautiful. The coffee was also first rate and their takeaway window was also running at full speed. Our dog who is our official bacon taster rated their bacon as extra tasty. Oh yes they are dog friendly!

Great coffee! Friendly staff. I am not from this part of town so I am not up with the go to places but found this in our search, we had a late AM coffee but lots of people eating in and out. Quick service too. Thank you :)

Awesome little neighbour gem. Mainly vegetarian food but you can add Chorizo to meat it up, or Salmon. Wonderful ingredients, and now I know there's some succulent can be eaten.

The gnocchi was incredible. I would recommend sharing it because it gets a bit rich but wow it changed my life

Really great cafe in Upper Mt Gravatt! Firstly the coffee here is excellent. It's worth tracking this place down just for that alone. Secondly the food is brilliant. The croquets all-day is really very good but the feild of dreams burger is possibly better. Both come recommended. Thirdly the staff are very friendly and it all occurs in a very cool setting. This place definitely comes recommended.

Absolutely delicious! Great addition to the neighbourhood. Coffee is great, would recommend the Ruben and the mushroom toaste 👌 parking is a breeze too. Be sure to try this cafe.

Lovely people, food, coffee and vibe. The location might have changed but the vibe remains the same. The sandwiches and their own twist to it which stood out to the typical cafe sandwich offerings. A lot were already sold out but the ones I was able to try were absolutely delicious.

Our favourite cafe in Brisbane. Pick any item on the menu this team does not miss. Dakota Fried Chicken is definitely my go to, but it is all so refreshing.

I came here with a group of friends on the weekend after being recommended by another friend. The staff here were very friendly and I asked one of the staff for recommendations and she happily obliged. In the end I went with a lighter meal and ordered the goodness gracious with salmon. The dish came out like a piece of artwork. It was skillfully presented with zucchini noodles, broccolini, avocado and goji berries. Taste was delish! Prices were reasonable. The place was clean and tidy. It was easy to find parking, and there were air conditioning for those opting to cool off from the summer heat. Overall, a very pleasant experience and highly recommended.

Delicious food, fantastic service, and great atmosphere! The Golden Eggs were scrumptious, I was particularly fond of the crunchy potato waffle it was served on. 10/10 will be back with some friends in no time :D

We want to come to this cafe but it was always busy. Today is my daugther birthday and we made the effort to come for brunch. We love the food with fantastic service and truly enjoy of time there.

The energy in here is amazing! Just love it so much! Just recommend to improve the foods a bit more so everything will be perfect. Need to be lighter maybe.

First visited last weekend. Never thought of south Brisbane got this amazing coffee shop just near where i live. The golden egg made my day. The poached egg warped by the crispy potato peel. It was wonderful. The con is the flat slice fries were too oily and under cooked.

The service was outstanding-fast and friendly. The flat while was nice and pretty with a lovely latte art, but the coffee was split all over the saucer (either too flat or the way the waitress served). Both an almond croissant and a fried chicken burger were pleasant though the $18 burger was considered pricey on its own. The private restroom could have been cleaner.

I love this place! I know there are other places that specialise in sandwiches and toasties around the cbd but not so much on the Southside. It is right up my alley. We tried the brisket Reuben toastie and Tasmanian lamb toastie and both were delicious and juicy and so full of flavour.

This little cafe can be missed, as it’s hidden in the back streets of a neighbourhood. When you do find it, you will be grateful you did. Excellent service from all staff is a great starter. The food menu is small, but when you have such fantastic flavours, you need little more. The coffee was also a nice blend, brewed to perfection. With all this and the nice laid-back atmosphere, Deli Dakota is definitely worth a return visit.

Favourite sandwich place on the Southside! Located on a quiet residential street. Plenty of street parking. Sandwiches are all packed with fresh ingredients and flavours. Definitely recommended for brunch or a quick bite.

This is an amazing deli, selling sandwiches, toasties and burgers. This is one place that I have returned in very quick successions and has shown this place off to my friends. The deli features a forest mushroom toastie which is good for sharing. You will have to share this as it can be alot given how rich and strong the mushroomy tastes in this one. The DFC (Dakota Fried Chicken) is also really good! The kimchi Mayo that the chef uses in this burger pairs so well with juicy fried chicken thigh, offering a really good balance to the burger. The Tasmania Lamb offers a really good hummus and although it gives an impression that it’s a heavy set sandwich, it’s really not. Instead it’s light, satisfying and absolutely umami filled. 10/10 will recommend!!

such a cute little cafe, it's in more of a hidden location which is nice. interior is v aesthetic and the service was really good. some of the food was a little on the salty side but you guys 🫢✋ the chai was so good, would come back just for the chai. all the ingredients used for the food was quite high quality and even the avo on toast was really hd feeling, not sure if that makes sense. prices were overall decent, they forgot our chips but that was due to a printer error, not their fault and they were really nice about it. would definitely come back ☺️

The guys at TGS know what's up! I have come to expect nothing less than perfection from these guys. Food is always on point and you'll be back over and over to try everything on the menu and then again for seconds. Menu changes seasonally, however their super popular dishes luckily roll over with the change of weather. Coffee is always SPOT ON, I drink everything from a mocha, to long black, to cold brew and their isn't one way that isn't served exactly how it should be. And they rotate some guest Roasters too if you're looking to change things up occasionally! Always brilliant tunes to accompany their prompt, fun, bubbly and fantastically quirky service. I've seen TGF go from a little hole in the wall take-away joint, to a full blown south Brissie brunchy/long-lunchy hot spot. Add in a glass (or two) of any of the wine list and you'll understand why they are called The GIFT shop!!

If it looks busy I recommend at least asking how long the wait will be. It looked packed today and they still got us a table for four within a 15 minute wait. Food is ridiculously good (get the golden eggs), reasonable price as well and great coffee. Friendly staff who seem like a good group of mates. Best breakfast place I’ve been to for years, literally. Keep it up guys.

Amazing food and coffee aside, this is the friendliest service I have received anywhere in a very long time. Very busy Sunday morning breakfast, yet the wait staff, who don’t need an iPad to remember orders, actually take the time to engage with customers. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Will be dragging all my friends here for future eats

4.25 stars - great atmosphere and friendly staff and good moderate pricing for the foods. Coffee is well made but I wasn't a fan of the beans as it's got a sour taste to it. We tried the: ♧ the golden eggs - fantastic! Interesting concept but flavours went well together. Definitely recommended ♧ sweet & dreamy Waffles - a diet friendly dish however the waffles were very dense and dry. Not your typical fluffy ones and it is very sweet ♧ Squid Ink Linguini- portion quite small but super flavoursome and delicious

Definitely a 5-Star for me, from the greeting as soon as I get off the car to recommending a new fresh juice to try and start with to suggesting the excellent meal, perfect customer service! The food, never tried a fried poached egg, so I'm impressed with the presentation and the taste. Will definitely be back to try the coffee in a cooler day.

My favourite cafe in Brisbane. Very friendly staffs and a nice coffee, foods. My home is little far from there so I can no go there frequently but I want to go there every day if I could!
