Beautiful food prepared with love and attention to detail. Outstanding draft beers, delicious cocktails and an excellent wine selection. The market fish is exquisite with beautiful little potatoes and a delicious green salsa. If you want a fantastic steak accompanied with a cold draft beer or favourite red this is the place. The steaks are extraordinary and glide like butter! The chef fiercely guards your steak and is protective to grill it perfectly. I got him to smile though 😉 The sides including the veg are fresh and tasty and the salads are consistently crisp and fabulous to have as a starter. The oysters are beautiful. The waiters and staff are brilliant with fantastic service and will check on you to make sure you are not waiting on a drink. The Boatshed is perfect for a lazy long lunch, special occasions and date nights. Book early as it gets very busy. My only sadness here is that we really miss the sublime lime cheesecake as it’s no longer on the menu. They could do with a rhubarb crumble and offer a couple options to include less sweet desserts:)

i was very surprised by this dinner experience!! i did not expect such high quality and delicious food from @regattahotel 🤭🤍 love the atmosphere and vibe of the entire place too~ like a casual pub/club🧐🤣 super super busy at night!! such a lively place~ i never expected it to be so big inside🤭 we ordered ✨🍽: 🍔southern fried chicken burger $18: this was SO big oh my, surprisingly quite good!! chicken wasn’t juicy but it wasn’t dry which is good~ flavour was quite nice and it was super crunchy~ the fries🤤hot and crisppp~ 🍕prosciutto rosso $21: this. was. incredible. it doesn’t state that it’s wood fired, but it really tastes like it!! dough was fluffy and cooked to perfection oh my, it was my first time having caramelized onions on a pizza and oh my- what a beautiful addition! balances out the prosciutto perfectly🤤i would come back just for this pizza! 🍛 coconut chicken curry $21: this was a chef special~ it was pretty nice~ the chicken was a little dry and i don’t really like coconut curries so it wasn’t really my taste but really good quality!🥰 🥗caesar salad $17: ordered a salad to repair balance out the heaviness of everything else~ refreshing and nice! bacon was quite hard as well as the huge cuts of bread but overall an okay salad~ 💜lilac sky $12: this mocktail was delishhh!! with butterfly pea inside, it was a beautiful colour! with hints of citrus and floral flavours, it was refreshing and yum!🥰 ugh if only i had the right coloured nails🥲🤣 overall, a lovely lovelyyyy dinner at @regattahotel a staple and icon in Brisbane, if you haven’t checked it out, it’s definitely worth it!🤩🥰

Jacob (the guy who runs the little side cafe) is great! He told us which of the desserts are his favourites! Awesome customer service!

The Boat Shed has easy online booking for lunch or dinner 7 days a week. The staff are professional and efficient. Mainly a steak house, there are non-steak options on the menu, as well as GF and DF options. The food is delicious with good portions. An expansive drinks menu to accompany your meals. Facilities on the premises and parking available. A popular venue, with good reason.

I used to drink here in 1989. Came back for a visit. Such a great place and always will be. Good drinks and food. Plenty of options to drink and dine. Will be back again soon.

Renovations look great, well maintained building with plenty of places to eat, drink, and enjoy. Food was delicious with plenty of options for vegans which was a definite highlight. Highly recommended.

On a crazy busy Friday night, a group of 13 with a la carte menu was handled quiet smoothly. Food was delicious and generously portioned, service was attentive and prompt, and the Henley Room nicely accommodated us.

Regatta Beef Burger- Angus Beef, Fried Crispy Pickles, Red Cheddar, Smoked Bacon, River Road Burger Sauce, Milk Bun with Fries and Aioli ($22) 9/10 Southern Fried Chicken Burger- Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Maple Bacon, Iceberg Lettuce, Tomato, American Cheddar, Chipotle Aioli, Milk Bun with Fries and Aioli ($20) 9/10 Better Beer Your Mates Larger Overall: 9/10 Review: I haven’t been to the Regatta in ages, especially for food. We got there at peak hour lunch time on a Sunday so a lot of the tables were taken. We decided to sit outside near the coffee cart which was nice and chill. We ordered via the QR code, both of us deciding on a burger and beer (good combo, right!). I went with the beef as I normally prefer this to chicken when it comes to burgers. This burg had everything I look for in a hearty pub feed. Soft and fresh bun, thick and juicy patty, bacon, sauce and fried pickles. I thought the fried pickles and bacon both added a great flavour and really did luxe up the dish. There was a good amount of sauce which was quite flavourful. Fries on the side were crispy with a good amount of salt and paired perfectly with the aioli. Chicken got a good review too with a thick piece of battered chicken, melted cheese, bacon and fresh veggies. Would defs recommend coming here for a chill lunch with a good verity of options and fast service.

Great steak, great service. We both had the dry aged porterhouse and it was perfect. It was my husbands birthday and they got him a card and complimentary dessert! So nice. Thanks Hamish for the 5 star service.

I've been to the regatta a few times because I live down the road (so convenient!) The food is consistently yummy, not always perfect, but consistently yummy nonetheless. The best food items I reckon are the mac and cheese bites and halloumi bites.. so GOOD! Same with the mushroom pizza. Finally, the lamb salad is super good! Would recommend out of the Salads. The beef cheek also falls apart as you eat it! Yum! I find that the sweet potato chips can be soggy when you get them. Might ask for the salsa on the side when you get them! The food always comes pretty quick as well! No matter how busy they are. Yall do great! I love the variety of drinks here and also the walrus bar is an absolute gem. The girl who was working the walrus bar is a fantastic gal, an absolute gem also. Can't wait to come back! Overall, great place! The only downside I find is that the prices may be a little high and some food items aren't as good as others (not a big deal though) but that's it! Great venue and I definitely will be coming here as my choice in toowong.

👌🏼Food: Fave brekky place! All of their brekky selections are good. We are yet to go for lunch/dinner. Keen to also check out their gastro-pub (The Boatshed) and speakeasy bar (The Walrus Club). 👍🏼Ambience: Very pleasant; hotel itself has so much character (built in 1886). 🫰🏼Service: Can get really busy, so order food first soon as you get in and chat later 😁

Solid lunch time experience for me! We have the fish with salad and it was fabulous, drinks nice (although a little pricey). Location itself is stunning with fabulous views back over the river. Service was prompt and friendly. Fish was cooked really well, tartare sauce was fabulous. All in all a fabulous experience overall.

Review for breakfast at the River Road Cafe. Food was good, service was fine, and atmosphere is okay if you don’t mind heavy street traffic with numerous enormous trucks. Breakfast with a friend. 6:30am. We were the first table, and maybe 3 or 4 others by the time we left. Order process was smooth and easy, friendly and welcome. Tables were clean and felt “not exposed” (which was nice on a cold morning!) Coffees were cold before our brekky arrived, which was a bit sad. We both ordered the spanish omelette. Mine with mushrooms. Mine arrived first, and theirs arrived easily 5min or more later. Super tasty though. Bread was delicious and the ideal portion. Omelette well balanced and generous. Pricing reasonable. Will come again, but be aware the road noise is hit and miss.

Excellent cuisine and accoutrements as expected, but it’s the exceptional service backed by clearly, first class systems: reservations; ordering, and delivery that sets the Regatta Boat House apart. Gives one great confidence knowing the end-to-end experience will be nothing less than perfect. It all just happens seamlessly, flawlessly and effortlessly. Our waitress, Imogen was superb, unobtrusively meeting our every need with great alacrity and perfect timing. This was my second visit in as many weeks. Congratulation Regatta Hotel - setting the benchmark. Consistently demonstrated excellence. Table of 7. 24/9/23. My son, Alexander’s Birthday and our first meeting with his girlfriend’s parents - so we wanted it to go smoothly and it certainly did - including arriving and departing by City Cat, which affords the experience a dash of relaxed pleasant ambiance.

The lounging bar is amazing, such a chilled out way to CHILL OUT. Burgers top notch. Sundays live band does requests and a lot of fun is had! Try it out. Actually don't. Wanna keep this as my own clubhouse ;)

I went for a private party. A great location. The service was terrific and the team friendly. The food served was excellent, a mix of finger food and small meal boxes. The room was comfortable and allowed you on to the verandah to enjoy the view and mingle in the fresh air.

The food was great, the service was amazing one of the best, we even got a greeting card wishing us happy anniversary, loved the gesture! Couldn't have chosen a better location to celebrate our special day. Will definitely come back with more people this time! The staff was lovely and even volunteered to take pictures for us.

Wonderful place and location, right across the Brisbane River. Food is on the $$$ side but good food and great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable to suggest and help to choose what is best. Good bear and alcohol section in the bar area. Open area to sit down and have a meal or drink while enjoying the cool breeze that come from the river. Place is bubbly and vibrant.

The bar man was great but Food was shocking!! We ordered a variety of things to test out the menu. I wouldn’t recommend this place for food at all. Great atmosphere but unfortunately was extremely let down. 1. Karaage Bao was dry and the bun was so hard I could barely pull it apart. 2. Prosciutto pizza had the sweetest tomato base that tasted wrong and three dried out small pieces of prosciutto. 3. The inside of the Arancini balls tasted like half cooked tasteless rice. 4. The bruschetta was done so lazy. No balsamic, no red onion, tomato’s were whole just sitting on stale rock hard bread. If you’re looking for a good meal you may need to look elsewhere.

Arrive by ferry & this was my first visit to Regatta Hotel on Saturday 04/09/21 visiting from Cairns. The Hotel looks beautiful with it's charm character & heritage, even though I only had time for one cup of Cappuccino I could have easily sat outside all day, with its relaxed friendly atmosphere & only a 10 min walk to Toowong Village.

With a U K friend in tow, we went for a drink in the late arvo at the Main Bar, and stayed for a meal. I had beer-battered barramundi and chips with salad, the friend had a steak sandwich, and hubby had a beef burger. He said the meat patty was cooked well, and the additions were really enjoyable - the right amount of gherkins, etc. The chips were chips – fine, tasty, the usual. My fish was wonderful – juicy and tender, with crispy not-too-thick batter. The salad was fresh, with a tangy dressing. The burger and sandwich (with chips) went down well. Servings are very generous, and we managed to scoff them down ‘cos we were hungry little diners. We drank Prosecco, and a G&T, and a soft drink. Staff were pleasant (our UK friend said she missed the friendly Aussie waitering-style now she lives overseas.), and food came out promptly. Even for a Monday night, this place was fairly busy. We all enjoyed the meals and drinks, and the respite from the day’s endeavours. There are several bars, and a café and a restaurant here. Much more for us to explore on another night.

Boatshed in Regatta Hotel is one of my favourite places for steaks. Open kitchen gives customers a bit more impression on their food quality. Staff serves customers in a professional manner and food is presented on a well organised plating. Steaks I and my wife ordered were absolutely amazing. The side dish 'Roasted cauliflower' was fantastic. Nothing to comment negatively... Only it's a bit of $$$. I wish there is a list of lunch menu in Boatshed then I can visit more often

Great location, great service and an awsome meal. Not sure the dry aged steak is worth it.. but inwill have to come back to try the non-dry aged steak. Not sure vegetarians would appreciate the menu :-)

We dined at 11:30 on a Tuesday morning, just as the lunch menu became available. There were few people there and we had our pick of where to sit. We elected to sit street side. It was very pleasant - shaded and cool. There were many other seating options that would meet any mood. Ordering was handled by an app, scanned from the table. There was an extensive menu available, from starters and share plates to steaks, burgers and the like. My beautiful wife had the chicken schnitzel and I had the steak sandwich. They arrived surprisingly quickly and were fresh. The portion sizes were good and they represented excellent value. Do yourself a huge favour - order the macaroni, cheese and bacon bites! The beverage list was also impressive and they were again good value. The staff were amazing - super professional, with just the right amount of personality shining through.

We were a party of 5 and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The service was top notch. Definitely will be back. MIL said best fish she has ever had. The linguine was divine and the steaks cooked as requested.

Go for a beer on a regular basis. Most of the staff are friendly, the food is good, tap beer is good and you meet interesting people from all over, in the smokers. I might be biased because its my local, and no place is perfect, but I'm satisfied by the service I receive :) Plus they have stand up downstairs in the walrus every Sunday now, so that makes me happy

A decent place for lunch. We ordered the sirloin(med rare) with extra grilled chicken (a little dry) and grilled prawns and the rump (med). The prawns were the only thing that was tasty though. Kari (I believe is her name) was a fantastic host for us.

We were very happy to come back to this great restaurant after four years. Its oysters and dry aged steaks were as good as before. We also picked a nice red wine recommended by the waiter. We will come again next time we visit Brisbane.

Had not been to the Regatta Hotel for some years and was pleasantly surprised by the fit out. Very different atmosphere than the 90's version. Very chill place now. We ordered our meals, it came out quickly, nice and hot. Steak was cooked perfectly! Would happily go back again. Highly recommend.

Very elegant with reasonable price, not much options if you don’t eat beef and seafood. Steaks are to die for though, my second best option is always their seafood linguine. Birthdays are cute , hotel treats you well with birthday card and wishes along with sparkles on the cake

I recently went here to have lunch with friends. It was a very nice experiences. I ordered different dishes to share like chips, Italian meatballs, macadamia crusted goats cheeses with a bottle of wine. The dishes were perfectly cook, with a beautiful presentation. Additionally the atmosphere at the restaurant was very cheerful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience so I defiantly would recommend anyone who is in the area to try this restaurant.

Here in the city working over the weekend. Beautiful fish and chips. Good Steak with pepper gravy (it’s not on the menu but Johno scored some at the Boathouse). nice work ! Excellent service thanks Johno. He even knew where Kingaroy is. ☝🏽☝🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Thanks for a good conversation and experience Johno. Anniversary dinner was absolutely delightful! The service was wonderful from start to finish and the food was so good with portion sizes that required a take home container. Honestly wish my stomach could've held more! Shout out to the hostess that seated us - she made us feel like the only customers. And to our waiter who was super attentive and helpful!

Good table service and good food but if you plan to go to the bar then think again. I have never been cut off in my entire life before tonight and I will never go back to this bar because of it. It's embarrassing and demeaning to say the least.

A Brisbane icon, the Regatta Hotel is a great place to have a cold beer and watch the world go by on a Friday afternoon . One thing that dissappoints me though, is their total lack of communication when you try to ring them. You leave a message and they never get back to you, (as I had done twice) Great place for a casual beer, however I would not book anything there in case I had to contact them later to make a change, They would not return your call, (from my experience).

We came in for lunch today.. I haven't been in years and was not dissapointed:) we sat in the public bar area and I had the Vegan power bowl and it was genuinely amazing. Great service, excellent fit out and clean amenities. Id highlight the fact that the staff were extremely well presented. Its clear the VM holds all staff accountable for a tidy appearance and excellent service and they delivered today. Everyone was engaging and friendly, tidy and well on top of clearing tables and prompt service. Generally TAB areas get neglected and are messy but even that space was attended to consistently. Im usually really critical of such large sites as its hard to tick all the boxes but management got this one right👏👏👏
