Had high hopes but our experience was very disappointing. Came to celebrate a special event for brunch, and from the photos we thought here was perfect! At around 11am we ordered 2 iced lattes, the ‘big breakfast’ and a pastry. We promptly got our coffees, and they were great! Definitely recommend. 35 minutes after ordering, we started to wonder where our food was. The cafe wasn’t empty but definitely not busy. I went and asked, and the staff member was very unfriendly- she said they were ‘plating’ it. However, It seemed like they lost our ticket. Another 10 minutes passed and it finally came out, but it was very underwhelming. For the price we paid the quality was so poor- hard hash browns, no sauce/ condiments and a seemingly very old caramel tart. We were so excited to try here, but if you’re on a time limit- we recommend just getting a coffee to takeaway!

Fantastic Cafe! Quick and friendly service. Good coffee, well presented meals, a thought out menu using quality products. Hard to find faults. Highly recommend 😁

Date of Visit: 30/12/23 14/15 ⭐ - an incredible score for what I experienced. A fluke win for a coffee and a feed had me Interested as this recommendation came from another business across the road This place made me feel like I was starring as an extra in an episode of McLeod's Daughters. The staff wearing the warn baseball caps, the laid back yet enthusiastic service and the Sienna browns of earth pigments that stood out like an old friends homestead out in the North Tablelands. My coffee was inconsistent with the second order, this shows that different baristas will have their own fling at making a quality cup of Joe for the average... Chris. Still a macchiato with a ristretto instead of an espresso in Australia is still considered standard especially to anyone who just needs that caffeine hit, a.k.a. me. If you want an experience including free sparkling water on tap, you better get your bartending skills ready because pouring my own sparkling water made me feel like I was back behind a bar. Such a great little set up and will give the restless ones something to do for the whole table. I ordered at 11.42am, my fritata abundant in mushrooms and tomato, spinach and herbs came dressed with balsamic rocket and sourdough that reminded me of Sizzler's cheese toast; it was crunchy and crispy on one side and fluffy on the other, the perfect blend of dough for me. The sizes of the meals I saw coming from the pass were well worth what the menu advertised for. I'd like to see the fritata I had be a little more fluffy, there was a hint of runnyness that was likely from the eggs but the subtly of the herbs and flavours combined tied this dish up nicely when paired with the sourdough. If you're coming here to read or zone out you better bring headphones. This chit chatty place can be incredibly welcoming for people wanting to catch up and can get quite loud. It seems as though HG is pet friendly, there's some water bowls under the fireplace; yes you read correctly, it might be just for show however it adds to the casual feel of being back in the middle of the Tablelands. Thank you for the meal & service.

Food is big and very delicious, lot of different options! Definitely will go back to try more in the menu. Wonderful for brunch ❤️ have GF options I had the vegetarian one, 18$ it was big and delicious, looks good as well! Coffee is little bit small for me but still good! Just little bit far from city but bus station is close by.

The service was great and I’ve never had breakfast come out so quick, even for peak hour on a Sunday! The coffee was great and the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had out. Very impressive for standard prices, highly recommended .

Atmosphere was great, even though it was pretty busy the staff were lovely and the place was nice and tidy. The kitchen was crushing it with the tasty food as well, I couldn't finish my big breakky, so go there hungry! Coffee was strong enough to make me grow wings and buzz my way around the day. We'll certainly be back again (bonus points for proximity to 2 op shops so we could waddle our breakfast bellies around a bit before getting back into the car)

Plenty of healthy options for both food and drinks. The place is very welcoming, nice and cozy. Perfect for brunch with friends or quick breakfast with workmates. Highly recommend to try their fresh home made juices!

A nice little Cafe on Logan Road. Food was enjoyable. Service was great. Atmosphere - not overly appealing being on a main street. It can be very noisy place due to chatter amongst patrons. So if you don't mind repeating yourself, you will be fine. Had the corn fritter breakfast. It was tasty but a very heavy meal. You won't leave hungry. 😉 Was a little disappointed my coffee was served in a cardboard cup, considering we dined in. Perhaps you have to ask?

Among the Best in Brisbane - A Must-Visit Cafe As regulars to various cafes around Brisbane, we were thoroughly impressed by Hallowed Grounds Cafe. It stands out with thoughtful details like offering both tap and complimentary sparkling water, and the clever touch of serving sourdough with a steak knife. The easy ordering process, coupled with the friendly and efficient staff, made our experience delightful. The coffee quality is top-notch, and the inviting atmosphere, especially in the tranquil garden area, is exceptional. Easily one of the best cafe experiences in Brisbane. Highly recommend!

Great place to grab a quick takeaway coffee or sit down for a meal. Table order and pay is a great way to jump the queue too when they are really busy. Overall: • Coffee is strong, robust and full flavoured. • Eggs Benny and the Frittata were presented well and are very tasty. • still and sparkling water on tap is a nice touch. Great atmosphere and friendly staff Recommend 👍🏻

I have been here about half a dozen times over the last two and a half years and have enjoyed it every time. The service is very fast and the staff are most friendly. I have had the toast and it's tasty although the flat white coffee is my go-to choice and is always excellent. The toilets are ok and they don't even make you get a key!

Breakfast food was hit and miss at out table. We all had a taste of eachothers meals, some flavours worked well and some didn't. The food was also on the more expensive side. Each meal for a few dollars more than comparative meals at neighbouring cafes. However, the biggest let down for us was the service. Not once did we see the staff smile, or get a warm comment, not even a thank you. Feeling like a valued customer goes a long way. We won't be returning

Local favourite. Friendly staff that remember faces pretty quickly. The most amazing Smashed Avo (comes with an egg. I ask for no egg). My daughter loves the croissants with Nutella. You can people watch or chill out in the back courtyard.

This is my favourite local breakfast/lunch cafe and I love that everything is fresh, delicious and presentable. They even have coconut milk for coffee which is so hard to find at most cafes. My food and service was A grade.

Hallowed Grounds was a very pleasant experience. I arrived close to closing but the friendly staff still offered to prepare food which was great. We sat down inside and was subjected to a calm atmosphere with plenty of seating and comfortable lounges. My espresso was delivered quickly and was delicious and my partners Ice coffee was well received.

Excellent breakfast this morning. I had the corn fritters that came with savoury mince and omelette. Such a large portion and therefore great value for such a large delicious breakfast. Hubby had the Big Breakfast. Nice touch with the homemade baked beans and not just out of a can. Everything cooked from scratch. So good!

The food was just alright, if not overpriced, and the yolk in my poached egg was hard. Presentation was lovely though.

I had the smashed avo. It was beautifully presented with dukkah and feta and a poached egg. This was amazing and the coffee was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend.
