    The product sold does not match the price tag, after receiving pair of earrings we realized the lack of craftsmanship and clearly breaking statuary conditions which grants you a refund under the Act. They keep bluntly refuse the refund and claiming they do not offer refund when is a clear right as a consumer under the Act, they are lying and misleading customers; before this incident we were loyal customers but after this we will take our business somewhere else and I recommend everyone to think twice about buying from them - there are other jewellers with better products but more importantly with integrity and abiding by rules and regulations. DO NOT BUY FROM MICHAEL HILL

    Staff provided substandard customer service with condescending and demeaning attitude and refused to provide a quote for an engagement ring - every other jewelry store I've approached has done this.

    Cares more about making a sale and gives out incorrect information. My partner purchased my engagement ring from here with the advice to buy a bigger size then to come in to have the ring resized, even sold him a care package so we could get the ring resized as we needed. Brought my ring in and now we’re being told that this design can’t be resized and they can’t do anything for us. The contact with trying to get this issues resolved has been awful with being told I have to wait 4 days each time for someone to contact me. The manager Bec is rude and speaks over the top of you, staff are not trained correctly. Still waiting for a call to have my ring corrected, save your money and go elsewhere

    As soon as my partner and I walked in we instantly were looked up and down and treated like rubbish by the staff there.. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on 👍🏼

    I am a young adult male and this afternoon I have never felt more genderly offended. I walked into this store to look at purchasing an engagement ring for a proposal in the near future, I recieved no greeting and not a single person acknowledged my prescence as a customer. I then stood there for 30 minutes whilst 2 staff members did nothing but look busy. After 30 minutes I got a bit fed up, this became worse after 2 young girls walked in and were instantly served with smiles and warm welcomings. I feel as though I was being judged by all the staff because I was a young male who looked as though he had no intention of buying. The cherry on top is when I finally left I walked to Goldmark nextdoor and long and behold I was served instantly and was never happier.

    Initially visited this store one month ago for a particular ring advertised. None available with no offer to order in. Then while in Cairns the complete opposite, helpful, friendly, overall awesome, ring ordered for pick up in Browns Plains. As I entered the store assumed I was a no one, so both ladies on Friday 9 May at 3:30 proceeded to stuff their face with food behind the wall as I approached the counter. Handed my ring, no offer to try on, & went back to the back of the wall. Customer Service a huge fat zero. Maybe one at a time eating????

    Robin helped us with our engagement rings and wedding bands. She went above and beyond to reassure us and guide us through the whole process. Couldn’t thank her enough for her kind words and support. Diane was wonderful over the phone updating us with resizing and when to expect our ring to return. She made the whole world of worry fade away.

    DO NOT BUY FROM MICHAEL HILL. My mother paid $1200 for a diamond ring as a gift and one of the diamonds has already fallen out. I wore the ring for 7 days only!!! The quality is poor and the craftsmanship is even worse.When I asked for a refund, the representative refused to refund me my money because they need to send it to their jeweller first. Absolutely disgusting considering I wore it for a week. So upsetting as well! Save your time and money their jewellery is most likely made in china and they put crazy mark ups. Will never buy from them again.

    "Try a different jeweler" Since our experience with browns plains Michael Hill and the staff, I have shown my 15 yo daughter to read reviews and take note. A portion of the reviews were exacly what i expected to find. Never again. First bad review I have ever written

    Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Trista and her team!! They are all super helpful and accommodating. Their knowledge and helping myself pick out jewellery for myself was a huge bonus. Never bought a necklace before and Trista was able to help find myself that necklace that suits myself. Wanted to say I love you all!!

    Went to the store to buy a ring on Valentine's Day and I met a staff with poor service attitude, she looked like a supervisor and spoke in a bad tone. I got a very poor buying experience, and I regret not going to other jewelry brand stores. Will not patronize this store again and will not recommend to friends.

    My partner and I purchased a ring from the store and throughout the whole process Diane was so patient and kind. We appreciated the effort she put in to ensure we were happy with our purchase. It was so nice to see such a passion for both the jewellery and customer service. Would give 6 stars if I could.

    My husband has only recently purchased a beautiful eternity ring for me to celebrate 10 years together, I had my new ring and my engagement ring together for a week before I noticed that a claw was damaged. I have a care plan at Michael Hill so I took it in for a repair, a week or so later the my husband brings the ring home and within minutes I notice a visible black spot in the middle of the stone, I took time off work to go back to the store at browns Plains and it was sent away for evaluation, they provided me with a blurry photo of the number inscription and have told me it's my ring and there is nothing more they will do. Please if you have any stones of value take lots of clear pictures of the stone for verification, I would hate for anyone else to have to go through this

    We went to Michael Hill Brown plains to buy a little pendant and chain last Saturday. Customer service and care in that place is excellent. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the girl who served us. She is very friendly and caring. She gave us very good discount and warranty. ( We went to a Michael Hill in another shopping center for same product. They didn't even mention about that warranty.) I would like to say we wanted to shop around the other jewelry shops. That's why we didn't buy from the other shop. Lucky we got a same product for good price with the warranty. Thanks for the Excellent service. I would recommend any one to go Browns plain Michael Hill.

    Came to this Michael Hill to get my wife's necklace repaired. Over the last few years we have spent well over $10,000 with Michael Hill stores across Australia. We have a membership and all our sales stored on the computer. The staff member we dealt with today informed us that keeping proof of purchase was not the responsibility of Michael Hill and that we need to keep reciepts for everything we purchased rather than have them stored in the system. We were informed that it would be ridiculous to expect that reciepts for every purchase to be available to be looked up at every store in Australia. Other companies like Supercheap, Repco, Bunnings, etc have no issues keeping accurate records of all my reciepts no matter which store I purchased things at. It seemed more that the staff member we dealt with would have preferred to not need to take the time on the computer.

    Beautifully set up store but seirvice sub Par was original seirvice was great but then was told they would call me back after Christmas last year in regards to 0.75 ct diamond earrings in a rose gold setting however no call so I went shopping elsewhere

    Sales assistant Diane and the manager Zac went above and beyond spending a lot of time trying to cancel my order and replace my choice when I wanted to change a ring I purchased. Even though my ring had been made they pulled it off and I left incredibly happy with their amazing service. Diane genuinely cares about her customers happiness and it was so refreshing to have experienced that. We'll be back for all our sparkly needs! Thank you!

    Big shout out to Zaf & Dianne at Michael Hill Browns Plains for helping me with my engagement and wedding ring. A week before my wedding, I was going to take my engagement ring to be cleaned however, when it came time to removing it, I was unable to. (As it turns out, you can gain weight in your fingers 😅). We tried everything (lotion, soap, olive oil and the needle and thread methods) and nothing worked. After a phone call with Zaf, my partner and I headed in to discuss our options. Dianne and Zaf were able to cut off my engagement ring with the tools they had in store and advised me to come back after a few days for the swelling on my finger to reduce. When I came back to discuss the next steps, I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get our rings back in time for the wedding. However, Dianne and Zaf saved the day and were able to liaise with head office to get both my engagement ring and wedding ring urgently resized in time for our wedding. Talk about going the extra mile! All and all, it was a fantastic experience that I'll remember for a life time. Thank you so much to Zaf, Dianne and the wider team at Michael Hill Browns Plains for taking care of us.

    I would give negative 5 stars if I could. The browns plains manager is so unprofessional it makes my blood boil. In summery he told me my money means nothing to their business after he wouldnt admit fault to his stuff ups. Absolute joke, stay away!!!

    Jewellery looks a lot nicer when you couldn't notice the quality of the diamonds. Staff persisted in convincing me they were high quality. But it explains how they could happily drop the price 50% to keep me in the store. Overall staff are nice but pushy for the sale, jewellery is definitely lacking the quality for the asking price.
