Sensei Hayden, Miss Emily and the Taijutsu Martial Arts team are an amazing group of people. Hayden has built a positive, inclusive and inspiring culture for both children and adults to enjoy learning the wonderful world of martial arts and self defence. Bringing your kids or yourself here to learn new ways to defend yourself is great, but you will take away much more than that. I brought my daughter here to learn how to take care of herself as she grew older. She has come away with a lot more than that. She understands this is not just self defence or exercise, but a way to learn and understand how to persevere, build resilience and remain grounded. Life skills that I'm confident will serve her well in the future. Thank you Taijutsu Martial Arts Brisbane for being great mentors and extended family to all the kids and older members you teach and influence. If you're considering taking this up, I couldn't recommend a better place to get started. Highly recommended and far more than the five star rating I'm limited to giving it on Google.

The only way I can properly describe the atmosphere at Taijutsu is like I am training with my second family. In the time I've been training (since the beginning of 2021), I have always felt welcomed, safe to ask questions, make mistakes and grow as a martial artist. At Taijutsu Martial Arts, there is no ego involved in the training process. We are all there to help each other progress. Personally, I have underwent a complete shift in my self confidence, even after starting with no prior experience. For anyone who is passionate about martial arts, looking to try something new or just make some new friends, I would 100% recommend coming to Taijutsu πŸ₯‹πŸ˜„

They don't response to the inquiries. I have booked a trial session and sent a few inquiries that my child is almost 4 years and whther I can bring him or not. I recieved welcoming and instructions emails and textd and confirmations. However, once we got there, they refused us and left my boy in tears. They could have answered us days before as I booked a few days before the session. I don't recommend them as they don't know how to deal with children

I seriously wish I could give more than 5 stars to the Taijutsu team. I had the absolute pleasure of training here for a year before having to relocate and loved every second of it. I came to Taijutsu having no martial arts knowledge and not only tried it but loved it as all of the coaches and entire team are so approachable, respectful, patient and knowledgeable. There is a true sense of community at Taijutsu and their curriculum is so well structured that you learn and consolidate a lot in such a short amount of time. The curriculum is also purposefully taught to be applicable to real world defence situations in conjunction with learning the sports side of martial arts. I would recommend this to anyone (particularly women as there is a lovely group of chicks training here as well as awesome respectful blokes) who is keen to learn self-defence, wanting to change gyms to have an amazing supportive fight crew or just wants to try something new.

The team at Taijitsu are amazing! They've created a safe place to step out of your comfort zone and a supportive environment to push yourself. I especially like their attention to detail, taking the time to break down the techniques they are teaching. Most of all, the classes are just good fun.

It was my first trial of kickboxing the other day & the overall experience was amazing. I felt full of energy and positivity during the class. The teacher was very considerate, professional & understanding. The interior design of the studio space & bathrooms were very tidy, modern and aesthetic. Truly an amazing experience! πŸ™

Went for an adult technique class as a complete first timer and absolutely loved it! It's more than a class, it's a close-knit community of good people that you want to be around. Hayden was an excellent leader and informative teacher, with kind considerations and encouragement for beginners. Would highly highly recommend! Definitely reach out to Emily if you're interested in taking a class, she is very helpful and super friendly!

Taijutsu Martial Arts Brisbane is a nurturing environment for children. Sensei Hayden and his team are very passionate about teaching young children techniques and values of Taijutsu. What I appreciated the most is their approach to it. Serious and complicated techniques made easy and funny. There is no kid left behind, Sensei and Senpei take the time to make sure each kid understand and master concepts and techniques. My kid attended classes for two years, but unfortunately we had to leave due to other commitments. Never say never, we may come back!πŸ˜‰

I highly recommended the kids classes. My 7 yrs old son and 11 yrs old girl were used to join the ninja kids classes. They missed it so much coming to Taijutsu Brisbane. If not because of other commitments my two kids would still be going. We were always welcomed with a beautiful friendly smile from Emily. Sensei Hayden and team are very professional. I hope one day we could fit in our schedule with Taijutsu Brisbane again.

This centre is a wonderful place for kids to learn about martial arts. Lessons are fun but with a solid introduction to techniques of self-protection and defence. My son is six and he absolutely enjoys the experience. I think kids will gradually develop more physical sensitivity and psychological calmness while learning here. Each lesson for small children lasts 50 mins, which is a longer duration than most other extra-curriculum classes, thus a lot more healthy exercise and worth the driving (the bigger kids have 60 mins, I believe). The instructors are genuinely good humans and very pedagogically smart in approaching kids. I am very happy and surprised to find this little pocket of great physical education in Woolloongabba. Thanks Sensei Hayden and your Taijutsu team.

Fantastic school for kids and adults alike. I enrolled my two children, ages 5 and 7 into the Taijutsu school over a year ago and was impressed with how the coaches welcomed them to the classes. The quality of instruction, the attention and general friendliness is perfect for young ones being introduced into the world of self-defence. The most important part is that the kids have fun while they're learning and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. They've even made new friends along the way. That's what it's all about! The kids have stuck with it and now they're 6 and 8 and are still attending regularly, with one gaining her yellow belt some time ago. As an experienced martial artist I feel that I have a reasonably good idea of the challenge involved in teaching young ones. In fact, I was so impressed with Sensei Hayden and Sensei Baden that I enrolled myself as a student for the evening adults training. On to the next challenge for sure!

My son said it’s fun because the engagement of the class and the atmosphere created by the coach, Hayden. Besides, Hayden is a kind, patient and enthusiastic coach who is willing to do anything to help his students. We are impressed by how well he is able to teach our son. Strongly recommend.

Was quite nervous going into my first training session, however the coaches and team could not have made me feel more welcome. Even though I was starting 5 weeks into a curriculum, the coaches made sure that each teqnique was practiced and stepped through slowly and precicely before combining it all together at the end. While my fitness struggled a bit I'm more then keen to keep coming back! Would reccomend! 10/10

Amazing crew here at Taijutsu Martial Arts. I enquired a month ago and received a response straight away and a phone call from Bayden. Explained everything from what to expect in classes to pricing and ensured me beginners welcome. From my first session i was welcomed not only by sensei Hayden and Bayden but also the crew who are also training. Everyone is humble, kind and it feels like a big family. No douche bag egotistical vibes just great energy, kindness and alot of sweat. I also have watched the end of the kids jujutsu classes and both sensei's seem amazing with them also and can't wait for my daughter to become of age. I recommend this place for everyone if all ages, genders and experience
