Very authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Generous portions. It's a small place so if you arrive at the wrong time, you may have to wait.

Really nice home cooked Taiwanese food. Service was good, slightly slow on a busy Sunday but flavours were perfect. Serving sizes for main dishes were generous and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend ordering the scallion pancake and beef roll.

Great consistent food, always end up really full dining in this institution. Only downside is during peak, just expect a wait of up to 30 min so order early. Good food takes time

my fav Taiwanese restaurant. Consistent quality everytime. So delicious! I always come here when I visit from Melb. Recommend the 3 cups chicken, pickled cabbage W/pork, fried ribs or chicken, ginger shallot and beef stir-fry. So yummy!

This restaurant is really nice. It serves traditional Taiwanese food. I had scrambled eggs with prawns and minced shallots. It is good value for money and not very expensive. They can serve food really fast so don't have to wait for long. I will go back and try several other dishes next time.

Great flavours, good prices. Just be sure to ask for less oil and no MSG. Really good range of dishes though, the menu is not too big which is good. It means they can do a smaller menu really well 😁

Quite disappointed, to be honest. After reading so many good reviews. The service is friendly. Environment is clean. Beef noodle soup is plain. Sweet and sour fish is weirdly soft. Bi-carb? The stewing seaweed, tofu, eggs. Eggs are over-cooked, seaweed got a really weird chemical taste, we couldn't enjoy it. Beef roll is the best out all all the dishes. Maybe we were just unlucky that ordered those not so great dishes. It's ready sad to say that we won't return.

Authentic Taiwanese homecooked food and menu. The wait time is average 35 mins for both dine in and takeaway so make sure you have a reservations. I have been here for years and they seem to have cut some corners over the years - missing pineapples from the sweet and sour dishes . But it’s still good value and will come back .

One of our favourite haunts for sure. Reasonable pricing for delicious meals that taste home-cooked. We would normally deliberately order more than we could finish when dining here so we can take some home for a few more meals. Only gripe would be not knowing that they're on holidays until we turn up. However when that happens, we just go next door for yummy Vietnamese food, another family favourite.

Jing Star Restaurant in Calamvale, Brisbane, is a true gem for those craving Taiwanese home-cooked flavors! 🍲 Reasonably priced and serving up comfort food at its best, this spot has quickly become a favorite. The 3 Cup Chicken is a must-try—full of authentic Taiwanese taste that feels like a warm hug. If you're in the mood for reasonably priced, delicious Taiwanese dishes, Jing Star is the place to be. Highly recommended! 👍
