I’ll just say it now. These were some of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried! 🍕💯 We were recently introduced to this hidden gem in @sunnybankplaza called @lacuccinadellapasta located on the right side to the cinemas. They offer a variety of pasta and pizzas. Here’s what we got (to my best memory 🤣) : • Pepperoni Pizza • Ham & Mushroom Pizza • Seafood Pasta • Ham & Mushroom Pasta (The names of the pastas on the menu are different so please ask them if you can’t figure out which one’s which 😌) Personally I prefer pizza over pasta so I’ll start with the pizza. My favourite out of the two was the ham & mushroom pizza. Both pizzas were delicious but I’m not a huge fan of pepperoni 😅. The bases were super super soft, just the way I prefer my pizza 😌 The portion sizes were very good considering the prices! The pastas were really nice with some nice flavours! The portion were quite large and we comfortably shared the two pastas (as well as the pizzas) among 4 of us 🥰🙌 Highly recommend checking @lacuccinadellapasta out. You’ll thank me! 🫶

Prawn, Salmon and Mushroom Pasta is al dente and ingredients are plentiful. Teriyaki Salmon is a generous serve. Ham & Mushroom and Supreme Pizzas have a delicious base with generous toppings served hot from the oven. Best Italian food on the Southside and cheap. Highly recommended!

Tried out the first time. Ordered no 6 Mentaiko sphagetthi. The taste is really good! Just like how Japanese do their sphagetthi. A bit surprised only 8 reviews so far. I would love the plate to be more Devine / exquisite and I am sure it would draw more customers attention. Please go and try this gem place at sunnybank plaza! The sphagetthi is surprisingly good. The texture is definitely AL DENTE ! Superb!

Such a hidden gem inside Plaza! Great food and great price. The flavours are good for those with an Asian palette who find authentic Italian flavours too strong (more Japanese-style). They were very friendly and accommodating towards tailoring the ingredients where they could for some of us who had intolerances. Highly recommend!

I have been to expensive, up market Pizzerias. Where they charge upwards of $38 per 🍕. I have tried every 4 stars and above pizza places in and around my local area. What I thought was good has now become average. After a day of reading reviews for new and exciting restaurants and eateries in the Sunnybank area, I came acrossed this place. It has excellent reviews, it is quite an odd sight to see something other than cafes or Asian food in the food court in the middle of Sunnybank. I knew I had to make the trip to taste for myself the wonders of such a highly rated pizza. To my surprise, the owner and the magic 🍕 marker is a lovely and friendly Japanese gentleman. He basically runs the show by himself. The pizza doughs are made fresh as the orders comes in. Service is fast and wait time is minimal. This is now my go to pizza stop, no others can compare. Don't believe me??? Try it for yourself, for $12 you cannot get anything better. Nona can retire from the kitchen, I've found someone who is a better cook....

First time here. Food was ok. I ordered the "Aglio E Olio Pepperoncino" , it was spicy , more chilli spice then garlic, it tasted ok. Portion size was small for $12. The photos shows the dish that was dusted with parmesan cheese powder and crunchy garlic flakes and the pasta was cooked PERFECTLY al dente!! Fresh chopped parsley would have elevated the dish to the next level. Thanks I'll be back to try other dishes and update review accordingly. The service was fine and all the other spaghetti dishes that came out before mine filled the plate nicely. Atmosphere is a 3 because the other tables around me were dirty thanks to the Asian restaurant next door and them not clearing tables. Food: 3/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5

There aren’t many food court Italian joints around, but La Cucina Della Pasta located in the Sunnybank Plaza food court seems to have struck the right recipe for success. They have a standing lineup of about a dozen items, mostly pasta, but including some pizza options, a rice mains, and a chicken wings dish. Pizza can be ordered as a whole or by the slice. There’s also a specials menu on a whiteboard atop the counter - on the day of our visit this featured one pasta and one pizza option. We ordered: * Mentaiko pasta, $16 * Smoked salmon & prawn pasta, $16 * Chicken karaage pizza piece, $4 (specials board) My mentaiko pasta came with a heap of the spicy cod roe and was full of umami goodness. I was definitely happy with this choice and preferred it to wifey’s pick of the salmon & prawn. The boy’s choice of the karaage chicken pizza piece was a predictable though satisfying one - the pizza dough here is made fresh throughout the day and this particular pizza was made to order - I thought the base was quite good and the crust had a nice level of chew to it. For reference, one piece = 1/4 of a whole pizza, and ours was cut into 2 slices. The mayo on top is a DIY option. Overall pretty happy with this meal, and I’d be happy to return for more.

Hidden Gem Pasta is not our usual choice for Sunnybank lunch outing, but hidden inside the Sunnybank Plaza Shopping Centre is La Cucina Della Pasta!! The pasta is al dente, the serves are generous, the service is genuine and it was surprisingly tasty!! With prices ranging from $12 to $18 for pasta, it's probably the cheapest pasta in Brisbane too!!

Some the best pasta I've ever had, so flavourful and servings are big. The service is great too. I just were open for longer and on Sundays, I always miss them. 😭

i don't understand why price diffrenet between online pick up order and order at the counter. what if i order delivery, 100% understand. but pick up is so unacceptable price difference. i ordered Mentaiko pasta which price is 16$ on counter but on the online it's 19$. so i asked to staff and staff said it's on company. so if you guys order something for pick up, please order phone call or go to counter. it's more cheaper than online.

This guy makes the best pasta and pizzas I have ever tried. This restaurant may be located in the food court but the quality is as good as any fine dinings or even better. Awesome!

So yummy ! This style of pasta is more like Japanese style pasta I know of, I'm almost convinced the owners have worked in a Japanese pasta place before. The cream in this style of pasta is lighter and not as heavy and rich as traditional pasta which I actually prefer! The pasta also has more of a even ratio between the pasta and the other ingredients added than Italian pasta. Another difference is you can add different types of toppings onto your pasta i.e. crunchy garlic flakes, parmasen etc. available at the counter. I've tried their carbonara and the smoked salmon prawn creamy pasta and reccommend both! I've been back twice now and each time has been consistent. It doesn't look like much on the dish but is very delicious. This place is great value for what they deliver. I'll be back soon again. Feel blessed to have found this gem of a place.

Absolute favourite go to in Sunnybank. Very rare to find GOOD pasta these days as it is normally too expensive, small serving or too oily. At this place, it is cooked to perfection and it is cheap and has a good serving. Would definitely recommend visiting

Out of expectations.Tried to reach there few times but closed on public holidays. This time we went there in last minutes, incredible services and food without doubt.

Ratings do not lie. The place is a gem. Stoic Japanese chef serving phenomenal pasta that is al dente. The pricing is surprisingly affordable and It is probably the only shop around here doesn’t have surcharge on cards. I know the surcharge isn’t much but it’s the thought that counts. Amazing food, amazing pricing and amazing service.

So good. my partner and I came here, she got the garlic and spicy pasta, I got food from another shop, I was eating mine. Then hers came out… I stoped right away cos the smell was soooo goood and then I had some and omg 10/10 💯 best pasta I’ve had, only gonna be coming here for my pasta from now on 🙏🏾

Unusual to find a place like this in a food court. They are going for the authentic rather than mass market end of the spectrum. Even their menu is in Italian only. Which may be off-putting to some because it may not be so clear what you are going to get if you don't know any Italian. Anyway, the pasta dishes we got were great, and I'm keen to go back and try their other pasta dishes and their pizza.
