Galeb welcomed me straight away and made feel like I’d been training there for years. The friends and relationships i have made at Galeb are the reason i continue to train their and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. The Jiu Jitsu is of a very high standard and doing this martial art has changed my life at the age of 55. My daughter also trains with the women and loves the experience of being empowered my positive and fit women

In September 2022 we signed up our two young boys to start BJJ at Galeb Brothers. At first i was a little hesitant as i was nervous about injuries but after watching how Professor Renan was with the children my concerns were eased. The discipline and hard work that is instilled in the kids is amazing. The Galeb family have been so welcoming to my husband and I, from Beth who always has a smiling face at the front desk to all the members who make you feel welcome. In 6 months Galeb has taken our 2 boys to 2 comps where they have come home with gold and silver. We as parents have enjoyed the kids journey so much that we have now joined. The Womans classes are great and our professor Renan and Coach Belle are amazing teachers. I never thought i would be doing this sport but i have started to grow an addiction to it. Im glad we took that first step and more importantly we are glad we chose Galeb Brothers.

I was at another Jiujitsu school originally before joining Galeb Brothers at the end of last year. Coming from 10+ years of professional Rugby, I am a massive advocate on creating a strong team culture where everyone supports one another to become not only a better BJJ practitioner but person, along with achieving both team and individual goals. While I was attending both local and interstate BJJ competitions before joining Galeb Brothers, I was always impressed by the way Galeb Brothers team showed up, held themselves and supported one another in numbers. From the young children all the way to their adult black belts. Admiring this from a far and missing this at my current gym, I knew it was time to make the move…. and the rest is history. Highly recommend anyone who is interested in trying Jiu Jitsu to train at Galeb Brothers. Its a second family that is full of encouragement, support and community. The professors and coach’s are welcoming, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I couldn’t imagine training anywhere else.

My daughter Roxy has been going to Galeb for many years now. They are an ongoing support to her discipline, skill and temperament that is worth its weight in gold. Even after school and work the drive never seems to get congested and the Professors understand if we are occasionally late! 🤦‍♂️

Have recently started my bjj journey at the Gold Coast gym coming from a Muay Thai background and love it. Everyone is super polite, the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and most of all the gym is very clean and is cleaned many times a day which a lot of gyms I’ve been to don’t do as often as they should. My daughter also has been a member for a few years and has been a very positive experience for her also making plenty of friends along the way.

Thanks for the lesson and rolls- excellent academy. Nice mats, good crew and detailed, well constructed lessons. I was particularly impressed by how the instructor thoughtfully catered to female athletes in an inclusive way.

certainly one of the places I felt most at ease here on the Gold Coast. All very kind and ready to help you evolve and vibrate with you when they notice your evolution. I recommend a thousand percent especially for women who want to fight and are afraid of some gyms.
