    If I could give no stars I would. Apart from not getting what I asked and paid for the customer service skills of the manager is atrocious. I asked and paid $350 for a permanent (grey/silver) dye job on my hair. What I got was bleached hair with a toner that washed out within days which left me with yellow hair. Note: it should go without saying that I was not told that the colour would wash out and that I would be left with yellow hair. Who in their right mind pays $350 for a hair colour that washes out in days and leaves them with yellow hair!? Particularly when they went in asking for a permanent colour. I was away when it washed out but I took photos and I went back into the salon immediately on the same day I got back which was *exactly* 6 weeks from when my hair was done. I was told that because it had been more than 6 weeks they would not provide a refund, not even a partial refund. As I’ve pointed out above, it was NOT more than 6 weeks on the day I went back. I also had dated photos that proved the colour was completely gone within 2 weeks and you could see that I was left with yellow hair. All I was offered was for them to put another toner in my hair that would again wash out and I would again be left with yellow hair. I naturally didn’t want that and I didn’t trust them with my hair again anyway but the manager could not have cared less and would not budge. She kept saying no refund of any kind (not even partial) would be given because it had been 6 weeks despite me going in as soon as I could. I had been on a cruise and went back literally the day I got back which was 6 weeks exactly. She clearly has no customer service skills AT ALL. The only solution she offered suited her. The offer didn’t consider the customer at all despite it being undeniable that they had not done the job I had asked and paid for. If they couldn’t do what I asked for ie: permanently dye my hair grey/silver they should have said so and I wouldn’t have paid them $350!

    Your booking system and confirmation process is terrible and has ruined my weekend. I made an appointment a couple of weeks ago and received a confirmation email. I then received a text message on Tuesday asking me to confirm my booking which I did. I then rang to let the team know I was running 5 minutes late to my booking this evening and was told my booking has been cancelled because I didn’t confirm verbally on the phone as well. I will say I did have a missed call and voicemail this morning but being busy at work I hadn’t had a chance to listen to it as yet. I feel like 3 ways of communicating and confirmation is excessive and a waste of time not only that no one had communicated to me by any of these means that my booking was cancelled. Subsequently I am now left to go away for over the weekend to celebrate my birthday without getting my hair done as I was so looking forward to and can not get a last minute appointment anywhere. Really disappointed and will not be booking again because the process is too onerous

Won't be coming back here, I can't believe it went so wrong. I've literally never felt this ugly after a hair dresser visit in my life and I'm feeling so down and deflated.

    I highly recommend Brownsplains salon and go there often; but today I had an amazing appointment and left feeling fabulous after Paige went over above to make my hair look healthy and fresh and for change curly too.

    This is a nice mid-priced full service hair salon and hair product shop in one. Located outside Kmart in Grand Plaza, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They stock a wide range of products and are happy to help you with the best products to suit your hair type and needs. The salon is narrow with not a lot of room to move around, but the staff are very professional and work hard to ensure that you leave with the look you want. My hair was done by Kim, who listened carefully to what I wanted and kept checking in with me to ensure I was happy with my cut. She had to repair a previous bad cut, which left me with hair of several different lengths. This is a busy store, so I would recommend that you make an appointment.
