The best Chinese in Brisbane!! My wife and I love it here. Friendly and happy staff. Food is always fresh and tasty and the balance of flavours is just perfect. I always get the curry puffs, lemon chicken and special fried rice no seafood. I have never been disappointed!

Not only the best Chinese food but also my all time favourite. Staff are absolutely amazing and the food is to die for in my personal, and very professional opinion (I’ve eaten a lot of food in my time). My family has been getting takeaway here for as long as I can remember and have not once been disappointed. Super consistent and always delicious. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Over the decades, Ho Choi has proven to be a good old-style reliable Chinese restaurant. In fact, it's become something of a suburban Moorooka institution since being established in 1966. The reasonably priced food is always delicious and the service is obligingly friendly.

I grew up in HongKong and lived there when it was a colony of Britain. Being a local you cannot forget the food HongKong had to offer at the time, the typical Cantonese cuisine mixed with the English fish and chips, mashers and bangers etc Ho Choi restaurant reminds me of the authentic Cantonese cuisine I grew up with from the entrees, soups, mains and desert. Nothing is a miss with the cooking skill of the owners. Apart from the fantastic atmosphere the owners are very welcoming and friendly no matter which country you are from. By far the most authentic and best Chinese restaurant/takeaway in Brisbane.

Always wanted to try this place as it is close to our new house, finally got the chance today and certainly not disappoint. Good stir fry technique which we call 'wok-hei' (wok-air) in Cantonese, not every Chinese restaurant can do it and it's a gem when you find one. The Singapore noodles and Chow Mein was good, stir fry beef hor fun and fried rice not dry enough but better than most places already. Would highly recommend if you want an authentic Chinese food experience.

After a recent Chinese craving I was blessed to find such an establishment on my doorstep. Generous servings. Fresh ingredients. Fast service. Absolutely delicious. Even my picky eating girlfriend loved it and that's saying something!!! Treat yourself to a delightful Chinese meal. BOSH!

Delicious food with fresh ingredients and plentiful servings. Stopped in on my way home from work and ordered cashew chicken and vegetable fried rice (not on the menu but they were happy to make me one). The chicken dish was delicious, tasted very fresh and was packed with both chicken and a good variety of fresh veggies. The rice was also delicious and packed with veggies. I got 3 decent servings our of what I ordered so value was great imo. This place has been around for decades and I used to frequent it back in the day. I'm lazier now so tend to opt for delivery (which they don't offer) so it fell off my radar, but I think I might make the effort more often. Only drawback for a lazy orderer like me is indeed the lack of delivery options as they aren't on the apps, but they were very busy with takeaway orders when I dropped in early Friday evening so it clearly isn't hurting them. Fresh and nice veggies, generous meat portions, loaded fried rice. Chicken & corn soup a little thick and not as flavourful but we will be back for sure!

Bought 2 shandy last night. Sweet and sour pork was delicious, rice delicious but the chicken cashew was very bland. Spring rolls also delicious.

Best chinese food I have had in ages. Great service. The restaurant isn't fancy but it is clean and pleasant. Food is fabulous with big portions.

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. It is superb in both food and service. I have looked all over SE Qld in the last 30 years and this is still without peer. If I could rate it 6 stars I would⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Edmund, Kimberly, Karen, and all the team at HoChoi do an amazing job of producing delicious food - every order! Their Honey Chicken is unbeatable and always ordered, along with other enjoyable regulars, including (but not limited to) Sweet & Sour chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Mongolian Beef, and their Omelette's. Ho choi was recommended, so I dined in. It has a relatively small no frills dining room, but the food was great, and so was the service. Have since taken away and also enjoyed the food and serving size. Will be going back.

Used to come here all the time when I was younger and we lived in the area 🥰. This was the Chinese food I grew up with, and now I’m very judgey of other Chinese food cuz often they ain’t as good as here. My favourites include the beef in blackbean sauce, the special fried rice, and of course the prawn chips. A MUST HAVE is the fried ice cream- just the best. Emin, the owner, always has had great customer service. Thanks for everything!

We always enjoy food from Ho Choi! Especially their dishes of Duck and Prawn are all great. I also love their boxed honey chicken and special fried rice. Many Chinese take away food restaurant put too much salt and msg, but their food taste all natural and you don't have to drink a bucket of water after. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Ordered from here today and it was incredible. Ordered the beef black bean and a wonton soup. They give you a good amount of meat and both dishes tasted amazing. Service was really nice as well. This will be the new local!

First time and a bit of a hike (18minx2) but well worth the effort. Ordered by phone and was ready exactly on the time requested. The food was excellent and value for money. Will definitely be back.

Had the best Chinese meal from this place a few weeks ago. So good I now have my wife picking it up for me on her way home from work.

We ordered the curry puff, fried rice and lemon chicken and the food was delicious! I went to the restaurante because of the good comments that I read. The BIG ISSUE was waiting ONE HOUR to get the food. Price and food are good but just go if you don’t bother waiting a long time to get the food on your table.

The best Chinese food around. Nice little family owned place. I usually have takeout but find in and the food was even better if that's possible.

Excellent quality food at reasonable prices. Got special fried rice and crispy skin duck with plum sauce. Excellent and size is very reasonable.

This place never disappoints, our go to for good honest food….can get really busy so order ahead of time Always go for prawn chips, fried rice , Mongolian beef, bbq pork spare ribs and Chinese veggies in oyster sauce

Hadn't tried Ho Choi for a few years, ordered Beef and Black Bean. Beef strips weren't cut up properly, lots of big pieces. Small steamed rice was $3.50(!), It was all in big lumps & extremely dry. A real shame compared to the last time I ordered from Ho Choi.

My family has been eating from Ho Choi for the past 15-20 years.. The food is exceptional and the staff are super friendly. Really reasonable price per dish with big serves so plenty of leftovers for the next day !😜😜 Our favourites are Ma Po Tofu and Honey chicken (it’s always crunchy and dripping with honey).. You may have to wait a while for food when they’re busy on Friday and Saturday nights, but it’s well worth the wait! Huge thank you to Edmund, Kimberley, Karen and the team for always serving delicious food and taking care of us!
