Well what a pleasant surprise for experiencing Olde Worlde accomodation in the heart of suburbia. My room was very well presented & a suitably presented light breakfast for next morning. Good to be able to park in backyard for more security. Well recommended for a night stay or longer. Well positioned to access places easily.

This is a really lovely setting and located in a quiet street close to Brisbane city. The room was clean, comfortable and the host was very friendly. Highly recommended.

I've stayed here a few times. It's good value and the location is very convenient. There is public transport on your doorstep and and you are within a short walk of two different entertainment / food precincts. There's also supermarkets very close by as well as a 24 hr petrol station & a 24hr Micky Dee's. The house is solidly built so you wont hear the people in the next room.

This "hotel" can be totally different to what you could expect to be... There was nobody welcoming in the entrance or any friendly sign, it seemed like a creepy abandoned house, and when we went to main entrance to knock the door the housekeeper just told us why we did not get in from the backyard door as that door was open. The room has all the basic you could need and was pretty clean but the breakfast was not what we were expecting.... Basically just packed cereals and bread, no fruits or any other facility, besides of the fact that you need to make everything by your own, this is not well explained in the Booking sites. We just checked out from this hotel leaving the keys in the room door because the housekeeper was too much strange to going to look for her.

I was met by Irene, a very friendly and welcoming hostess. Irene gave me all the local information for shopping and facilities. The room was very clean and welcoming. Very comfortable bed. I would most definitely recommend this place to stay and if I am back will stay again. Thank you Irene.

I stayed there 4 nights and it was really comfortable! Everything is well organized. ①Irene waited for me despite the fact that I checked in late due to the flight delay. She introduced necessary info right after arriving. ②Laundry is free of charge and various detergents are prepared. Irene dried out my stuff while I was away due to work during the day time. It was a big help as I was really busy on that day. ③Although I left my belonging in the room, Menaka and Irene communicated quickly and found it shortly. They kept it safely and sent it to my house in Sydney by express mail. As it includes personal infomation their quick action was really helpful!

You can always tell when love and pride is poured into a home and this is exactly what 99 Kirkland House represents. A refurbished Queenslander with a modern twist. Upon arrival you are welcomed graciously by the host who does her utmost best to make you feel at home immediately. The room and ensuite is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were plush and fancy. All the little touches made it all the more special. The owner has impeccable taste and it shows in the decorations and finer details. A delicious breakfast is provided with the price of the room, making it very affordable especially for its location being so close to the city. Overall A+ stay and I highly recommend.

Myself and hubby Dick had a very wonderful and happy stay at Kirkland House B&B. After a long flight and driving there is nothing more happy than to be so warmly welcome by the host Rachel and her very neatly , tidy and clean B&B . Upon arrival we were greeted by such a beautiful and homely B&B. The decoration such as the lawn yard, the fence, the comfortable sofa at the balcony already cheered me and my whole family up . We told ourselves this is the kind of B&B we looked forward to . The bed rooms were all so clean, neat and tidy and very roomy . Its too big for a couple I believe but of course its a plus point to us . I love the fire place most in my room . It gives me the feeling like I'm in a cottage in winter , with a cup of hot coffee in the night waiting for Santa Claus to drop in through the chimney to give me my Christmas present ! The breakfast each morning is so sumptuous . All nicely packed away in the fridge waiting for us every morning without fail . The freshly baked shortcake, cookies I enjoyed tremendously . Cleanliness is very important to me and Rachel's B&B cleanliness especially the toilet I would give it a 5 out of 5 ! It has a good location too with food mart , fast food restaurant just round the corner . I will definitely make a come back again when I visit Brisbane .

Rachel gave me a bottle of wine with some cheese and crackers to enjoy at night, which I really appreciate as a generous offer. The room was cozy and clean. It was very easy to find the way to the place from the airport. I also enjoyed substantial continental-style breakfast every morning. I like everything about this B&B, but the most outstanding is Rachel and Stuart's hospitality and kindness. Even the cats were very friendly to me! (One of them rubbed its whole body against me to greet me.) When I get stressed out, I will definitely come back to this place to be healed again.

My fiance and I stayed here for two nights and we absolutely adored Kirkland House. The room was furnished with all facilities required, and a lavish breakfast was always laid out everyday. What really struck us was how spacious the room was, even though it was only meant for 2 people. The surroundings were tranquil too so it's perfect for light-sleepers. Rachel was a wonderful and accommodating host to us, making our stay in Brisbane truly memorable. Our only suggestion is to put out some brochures or printouts telling more about the history of the house, as that would make the stay in the century-old house more interesting especially for history buffs. We recommend this B&B to vacationing and business travellors alike.

Home away from home. Lovely cottage in convenient location. So much better than a boring hotel room.

I had a great 2 nights stay at Kirkland House B&B. The Queen room I had was very cozy, clean and comfortable. I absolutely loved the room's furnishing with the European style decor. The breakfast was splendid with a good assortment of bread, cereal, juices, coffee & tea. We always had homemade shortbread or cookies in our room too! Rachel is a great host, and always able to accommodate our requests. Though my family had arrived early (2 hours ahead of the check-in time), Rachel was so kind to open one of the rooms we booked so that we could rest, have some refreshments and drop off our luggage. Kirkland House has a good location, it is near restaurants, Mac, and the city. Will certainly come back if I'm travelling to Brisbane the next time.

Had a couple of days spare so decided to try Kirkland House again, Im glad we did,met by the house manager Jen, as before nothing was a problem.Room was spotless and being able to have breakfast in your room or on the front verandah is a bonus. As I wasnt running on all cylinders this trip, jen made sure my fluid intake was up to scratch. Another bonus is off street parking, and the use of the laundry if required. As I said before this place is diamond in the burbs, very quiet, and yet ever so close to cafes restaurants supermarkets & the bus hub. Thank you once again for a fab stay,11out of 10.
