All
went
well
until
the
ring
he
made
for
me
nearly
lost
the
parti
sapphire
he
set
within
10mins
of
the
first
wear.
And
no,
I
didn't
bump
it,
knock
it
etc
etc,
and
even
if
I
did,
it's
a
ring,
it
should
be
able
to
withstand
basic
wear
out
to
a
quiet
lunch.
The
sapphire
in
question
was
given
to
me,
and
cut
and
faceted
by,
my
grandfather
at
my
christening,
who
then
passed
when
I
was
young,
of
a
heart
attack
at
the
age
of
53,
on
the
morning
of
my
Aunts
wedding.
When
I
took
the
ring
back
,
Romano
was
unapologetic,arrogant
and
argumentative
in
the
face
of
overwhelming
evidence
of
poor
workmanship.
I
asked
for,
politely,
at
the
very
least,
a
partial
refund,
but
he
refused,
and
wanted
to
have
another
go
at
it.
No
way!!!
If
hadn't
noticed
the
stone
was
loose
and
it
was
lost,
highly
sentimental
and
priceless
to
me,
it
would
have
been
devastating
to
me
and
my
mum.
Why
on
earth
would
I
trust
you
again,
after
that!
So
I
am
out
a
whole
bunch
of
hard
earned
money,
and
he
did
not
give
a
hoot.
This
happened
a
couple
of
years
ago
and
I
was
reminded
of
it
recently
when
I
finally
had
the
ring
reset
properly,
by
a
quality
artist
who
doesn't
cut
corners
and
takes
pride
in,
and
stands
by,
their
work.
He
was
taken
aback
by
the
shoddy
setting.
No
surprises.

This

just
proves
that
compromise
and
fairness
are
not
words
spoken
often
in
your
company...
