Avoid. Terrible hours and limited availability of equipment. Massively oversubscribed with terrible management and incompetent staff.

Really really good facility. They have everything even squash courts and a pool! Been here a couple times now and love how friendly the staff is.

Been going here for a few months now but thought it was time to leave a review. I mainly do fitness classes and i have to say the quality of instructors are fantastic. Really motivated and give lots of options for their exercise. Shout out to Jess K. Have only recently started going to her classes but have to say that i love how interactive she is with her groups, providing tips on techniques and just a fantastic motivator. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Many of the machines are old and need to be replaced. The paper towels and wet wipes are never replenished enough which is appalling considering the pandemic. The staff seldom put away the weights which patrons always leave lying around after use. Some weight machines have been out of order for months before being repaired. Batteries run out on the machines and often are not replaced for weeks, hence the machines (rowing, treadmill) can't be used properly. Many of the plates (especially 10kg) are losing their plastic covering which are literally perishing from age and over use.

Staff at reception are always great. I give them unlimited stars. Steam room. Hmm what’s happening there? Probably moulds it stinks and is disgusting. A reason I personally chose GL is based on extra facilities such as sauna & steam room. **well images talk for itself, I am sure you have been made aware with photos attached to my review 😊

I'm trying out this gym. Feels great so far in off peak periods. Could be better if it opens for longer hours on Sunday evening.

The gym is average at best. Equipment was poorly maintained and the gym was not clean. I’ve read previous reviews. As a founding member forever ago, I can say the air conditioning here has always been an issue. After long periods of injury, paying fees and not using the gym, I cancelled my membership. I was okay with having to pay out the four weeks cancellation period. The thing that has led to my one-star review? On the last week, of that four weeks, they charged me the quarterly personal training fee!!! How do you use a personal trainer when membership is done? Refuse to refund it. In all the time I’ve been a member, I’ve been paying this fee and haven’t once used this service. Due to my injuries, I’ve had to use a Physio to set my gym program. So, it’s not enough that they’ve received 100s of dollars without me using the service, they had to take every last cent they could get. Lastly, when my 12 month contract was up, my weekly membership fee was increased with no communication. Overall, so poor. Will never join this gym again.

My daughter is a member and I pay for her on my credit card. On Sunday my card was hacked and cancelled. Forgot to contact gym straight away to change my card details. However did so once my daughter reminded me. Explained the situation to the girl on the phone but they refused to take extra charge off. Very disappointed in the situation.

Great gym. Nice and quiet off peak so you can try anything from cardio, weights, functional, swimming. It really has something for everyone, including a very impressive range of classes throughout the week. The only slight improvements I would request is to have more classes during the off peak (particularly post lunchtime) for those people who have free time then. And 2 nice to have pieces of equipment would be a skierg and a trap bar. But overall I’m going to miss this place when I move

The Gym needs a HUGE update... the vibe, well there wasn't any vibe. The $20 visit fee was just ridiculous. Will definitely not be going back.

Very poor customer service and management. 🧐👎 It is unfair that do to the wrongdoing of the other members of the club the people that do follow the rules cant enjoy what they are paying for. They happy to charge full membership but they close the sauna and steam rooms whenever they like. I complained about it and ask for a reduction on my membership wail the sauna and the steam room is closed by the manager's decision. The answer l received by Kela was: You can cancel your membership if you like. The answer l received by Kela was: You can cancel your membership if you like.

Very nice gym. Used their squash courts, the condition was ok. Pricing was very reasonable, went in there solo and got half price. Was very happy with this.

Goodlife Holland Park is a great facility. It is modern and kept very clean. The staff and instructors are all so friendly and helpful. I enjoy the group fitness classes and there are many to choose from.

Nice gym, i just wish the aircon upstairs was always working. Especially on hot 34/35 degree summer days. Additionally, I think a more consistent and streamlined guest register and COVID-19 tracking sheet needs to be better implemented.

Steam room was moldy, it’s good they have a pool but I came to use the top floor (the actual gym) a large amount of equipment was broken or unable to adjust to my height cause it was it’s so old and stiff. The atmosphere in this particular goodlife was a bit still aswell :(.

More spacious compared to other goodlife gyms. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are nice and large. Plenty of cardio machines available. Generally, there is a wait on any weights machine on normal weekdays after 5pm. Classes are good but not the best crowd. Overall a pretty decent gym, its not 24 hours though, limiting your flexibility of going to the gym. Still a male dominant gym, making it difficult for new female gym users to get comfortable.

Unable to join any classes despite having the top tier membership. Due to COVID the classes can take less people but the gym doesn’t put on any additional classes. Very frustrating.

Holland park is a great goodlife gym. The gym is newer than others I have been to. Parking is generally easy but can get a bit full at times.

Been coming to this gym for 5 years now. Lovely staff at front desk. Equipment and facilities are well looked after including the lap pool and sauna. The sauna at Holland Park is bigger than others I’ve been to so I felt like I was in my own space. Great gym 👍🏼

Pretty average gym. Atleast 3/4 of the equipment is very worn out, small amount of equipment and space. It's not 24 hour and the staff have blatantly lied to my face about access cards and apps. Only reason it didn't get one star was because it has a pool.

My family have been members since 2018 and we love the place. Friendly and welcoming with loads of classes and equipment. No equipment downtime that I have seen in the last 4 years. Keep up the great work Goodlife!!👊

The "personal trainer" here they recommended me called "Emily" pretty much just talked me into doing whatever she wanted, she made it very clear she was only money oriented, when I asked her about the quarter free PT thing they promised me she pretty much refused saying she didn't get paid for it. The more I saw her the more anxiety and disappointment I had, so I stopped and never wanted a session with her again. Now thinking about how little they care no matter how much money they made you waste, just do not want to go back to Goodlife again.

Would rate it better, if the body combat instructor hadn't kicked me out of a class. I resigned my membership, no longer feel like going where I am not welcome! #nannystate

Great club, I joined and in 2 weeks I replaced smoking cigarettes with yoga and Pilates, I feel powerful and more confident of myself. My stress is gone and I can think clearly now. Love this club

Friendly staff👌🏽 - decent facilities - equipment needs to be updated/ cleaned better and all gym floors need a good deep clean - sauna and steam room need a deep clean too

  • 5/5 Peter D. 1 year ago on Google
Close to home and a lot of extra facilities (pool, spa, sauna, steam room & squash courts). I use the squash courts on a regular basis (however they could do with a little TLC), but they are a great bonus. Instructors are great (special mention to Jess who is a long term favorite, she is always full of fun & energy). Staff are so helpful (special call out to Imi who always greats me with a wonderful smile, good conversation and ensures my bookings are always sorted), keep up the good work HP!

Goodlife Health Club is truly worth joining. The club has varieties of classes of your choice and you will find it really exciting and productive. The traininners are very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Been a member for about 15 years on and off (between illnesses and injury). Staff are generality friendly and helpful. Love that they are doing an in-house 12 week challenge - great value with great trainers.

Constantly messing up payments then subsequently attempting to charge late fees on errors they’ve made with their payment system. Upon calling up to sort out staff members seemed clueless to the matter and were extremely unhelpful in resolving, had to call up on 5 different occasions to be told it would be sorted out but would then find out later when I was again charged an incorrect amount that nothing had been done.

Great gym, but gets busy after 3pm during the weekdays. Sundays around 10:30 am is a good time to go. Staff are always friendly and polite and the facilities are clean and well maintained.

This gym is excellent. Helpful staff, great facilities (including sauna and steam room and pool) and lots of modern, updated equipment.

  • 1/5 S W. 6 months ago on Google
Actually the most disgusting management I have ever come across. Do not waste your time here. Average facility with average services. I’ve recently become physically injured and unable to use the gym, sent my doctor’s certificate stating I am in recovery for 6-12months and a time freeze on my account is no longer an option. In the contract it states if you provide a doctor’s certificate confirming physical incapacity you are able to cancel without further payment. Woke up today with no communication from management & a $1000 bill on my account. Appalling they have the nerve to do such a thing to a person experiencing financial hardship & dump this on me with no warning. Straight to the ACCC I guess.

Great friendly people. Good facilities. Not pretentious and a good mix of people. Loving the sauna chats ☺️ Nice smorgasbord of ‘talent’ that makes my workout entertaining

Great gym, staff are always friendly and helpful. Plenty of classes to choose from. Can get busy at times like all gyms but it’s never packed. Only downside is not 24hrs but not a major deal breaker as they’re open from 5am 👍🏼

Great gym. Adam is a passionate personal trainer who understands how to get the best from you, creating tailor made routines and expert advice to suit your own needs. I have had a few PT’s in the past and Adam is the best! highly recommended!!

Every club is different, some have good showers, some have newer machines and equipment, some only have unisex saunas, some have male and female saunas and some have no saunas - Holland Park is a good all rounder.

I was recently asked to review my experience at the Holland Park Goodlife gym. I especially enjoy a number of classes, and the instructors really do over-perform with clear explanations, encouragement, feedback, care and friendliness. The facilities, equipment, all staff, and the clientele make the highlight of my day when I can get here.

Great little gym. Quiet on off times. Lots of unique equipment for arms. Just added a bunch of new squat racks. Theyve got like 3 bench presses, 2 leg presses, a bunch of cables. Good dip and pull up racks too. Versatile for different needs. Kept nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. The environment is welcoming. Manager always greets me with a smile. Cons are it gets super busy during peak times, and finding parking can be rough. It might be too small for some people liking, others may like that.
