Finally tasted their Ramen on Monday noon time. Felt surprised that even on Monday, there was a line to wait. Luckily, one person only waited for 10 minutes. Their serving was super fast, within 5 minutes. I chose black king, which was indeed super black as shown in picture. Squid ink looked interesting to me. Overall, the soup broth was great! Chashu was tender and tasty. There were also some minced ground meat, colored in black, but tasted super good. Hopefully next time I can be back and try other options.

My wife and I came to this place after realizing that Din Tai Fung has a long hour and a half wait and the Nordstrom ramen restaurant was replaced. While waiting 15 minutes, the hostess provided the menu to pre-select our customizable ramen. I ordered the squid ink ramen and my wife ordered the original Miso ramen, which were both delicious. The only thing I thought was weird was they did not serve hot tea because all their beverages are either canned or bottled.

There will be a line. A long line. A long wait. Bring entertainment, or a chatty partner. The Ramen is good, especially the broth. The red spicy was a hit in our group. The vegetarian broth can be bland, circle double spice on your order form. The Spicy bean sprouts on your table can keep you yummy company while you wait for your Ramen. The service is attentive and prompt.

Decent ramen, attentive waiters, long wait. Overall the process getting in was good. There is usually a line outside, but they give you a paper menu so you can prepare the order. For it's price the ramen itself didn't fill me up compared to other ramen spots, you can add more noodles to compensate though, but by default, it wasn't quite enough. The kaarage was bland and had to be carried by the tomatoes. Good to check-out once if you haven't tried because of the hype, but probably not a spot I'll actively choose since food was okay and a long wait.

Ramen Nagi never fails to perform anywhere they go. Their ramen is so authentic and tastes very similar to the ones I had in Japan. Broth is rich, noodles are firm, and the meat is tender. I get hungry just thinking about it. I came here on a Sunday at 12pm and although the line seems long, the service is fast. I only waited less than 40 minutes fully expecting it to be a 2 hour wait. The servers are so attentive and friendly despite how busy they are. This is hands down the best ramen in the Bay Area, uncontested. Also, besides the main point, I've tried their Chicken Kaarage and it was so juicy. And the aioli sauce was so on point I wish they gave more. Give it a try!

Excellent!!! We ordered red king and black king. I like the black king so much. Light sweet in tasty broth. Soft boiled egg perfect cooked. Pork belly was marinated perfectly. 9/10. Line could be long so recommend go there on weekdays instead

Loved the place! Tried the Black King ramen which has squid ink and it turned out pretty good. Thankfully the squid ink didn't have a strong taste so I ended up liking it. The restaurant has a quick menu system wherein they let you choose the broth, noodles, extras etc by circling options on the menu. The place gets busy so expect a 15 min + wait to be seated. Service is pretty fast and the staff are super friendly. The menu is limited as they only have a small set of starters, beverages to choose from and does not have any desserts.

We stood in line for 20 minutes or so…. But it was worth every minute. I live in Japan and have ramen often…. This was every hit as good! I had the vegetarian with potato patties, extra cabbage and green onions. The broth was a cauliflower broth that was perfect! Can’t recommend this place enough, stand in the line.

Ramen here is definitely higher quality than many places, but it’s definitely not worth 1hrs wait. If you have the time you can wait, but I wouldn’t say the ramen will wow you that being said they are interesting and worth giving a try.

Definitely worth a visit to try the Ramen it was delicious. I would suggest to go when they open between 11am and 1pm on weekdays. There is hardly any crowd. I have seen people standing in que for hours to get in other times. Service is ok as they give you a sheet to fill up before you go in and that is served but after that nobody comes to ask or help to answer your questions. It’s too busy. Very quick service. The vegetarian ramen was very tasty.

opens at 5pm for dinner, we came by around 4.50pm & there was already a long queue outside. we didn't make it for the first seating, so had to wait about 40 mins before they had a table for our group of 4. food wise, everyone loved what they ordered. chicken karaage was yummy too! 😋

At first, I was prepared to leave a less-than-stellar review due to the long wait time in line (why don't they utilize an online waiting system?!). However, I was completely won over by the incredible taste. If you're a garlic lover or Korean, don't hesitate to request an extra heavy amount garlic. The fried chicken and side dish were absolutely top-notch too!

This spot is located inside Valley Fair Mall. Be warn that there’s always a long line here. However, once you get inside, it’s fairly fast to get your food. While you wait in line, you are given a piece of paper to choose what you want to order. When you are taken to your seat, they take your order and the food comes out quickly. I got to try the Red King and the Original King. If you can handle a bit of spice, I would recommend the Red King since the the chef’s normal recommendation is a bit spicy. If you want a creamy broth with a rich flavor, I would suggest the Original King.

Staying in line is worth to get the table in this restaurant. It’s very popular and unusual. I have never tasted ramen better than here. The place is overcrowded. The man can wait an hour for his place. The food is fantastic. You can make your own ramen 🍜 by choosing ingredients you want to try. We enjoyed this place.

A very popular place. You cannot reserve a table. This is understandable, because the restaurant is very popular. You have to stand in line. We stood for over an hour. There were 6 of us, so as not to stand longer, we split up and did not sit together. But it wasn't a problem. We tried all Ramens except the vegetarian one. I liked it very much. My favorite - Black Squid ink Ramen. You didn't have to stay there, because behind the glass you see a line of hungry people))) The staff is young, very polite and fast. Highly recommend this restaurant

authentic Japanese Ramen 😆 but be expected you have to wait for an hour before getting in >< classic king is with tonkotsu pork-broth soup. it serves with special handcrafted noodles and classic Nagi pork chashu after trying its ramen, I know why there is always a line 😂 The soup is rich. I love it very much

The broth is very creamy and authentic. You can't go wrong with any of the color selection, go original if you want the most authentic, green if you like fusion. Thin and firm noodles is my preference.

It’s difficult to mention Ramen Nagi without bringing up the wait in line. The ramen itself is really good. You got to customize the menu with the broth between original tonkotsu, black squid ink, the spicy Red King and the iconic Green King which includes pesto, crisp bacon and parmesan. The noodles are customizable. You can customize the chewiness, thickness, salt, fat/oil, etc. don’t forget to grind some fresh sesame seeds in there. Don’t forget the peppered up bean sprouts on the table. They didn’t have the sprouts during the pandemic, so it is great to have them back. So about the wait…I’m not crazy enough to wait over half an hour to get ramen at Nagi. On the weekend that line looks like it could be closer to 2 hours. Just take the 280 up to Saratoga to Santouka. I’ve had some luck coming 10-20 mins before they close at lunch during the week. Nagi’s line was equally bad at the Palo Alto location before they opened up in Valley Fair. It’s one of the best ramens in town but the wait is usually not worth it.

Great ramen! We loved the paper menu where you circle your selections using a marker. Very easy to customize your dish to your taste. The potstickers appetizer was also yummy. The line outside moved quickly. Very fast service. Iced tea (no hot tea!) came unsweetened and they did not have any sweeteners to add. Squid ink ramen was a unique experience and an easy recommendation. The only napkins were a box of tissues (!).

The best ramen I had in this area. We had to wait in long queue for 55min but it was total worth it. The hospitality of the place is amazing. Despite being super crowded it is so well organized. The menu is already provided while we are waiting so we have enough time to decide. The tables served were super clean. We reached around 11am so had our ramen by noon. Once you are seated the serving is quite quick. We ordered the Red spicy ramen and the original ramen flavor. We saw lot of order of black (squid ink) ramen too. Next time we are gonna try that. Would surely recommend to all ramen lovers.

I went today around noon with a friend and we both got the original king. My friend just chose the chef's recommended while I chose all of the chef recommended levels but went with thick noodles instead of the recommended thin. The thick noodles were delicious and had that perfect qq texture. The broth was rich without being overbearingly rich and fatty. The chashu was fatty but cut thinly and extremely tender. The flavors were balanced. The service was fast and overall just had a really good time. This is actually my second time going to this Ramen Nagi, and I will say that it's better to go at noon-afternoon for lunch as opposed to dinner.

this is a valley fair staple. super long lines though!!!!! ramen itself was good but not worth the long wait. it was also a bit too salty for my liking. it was worth the experience trying this hyped up restaurant though.

We lucked out as there was not much of a line when we were at the mall around 6 pm Tried the veggie ramen , we were told the broth is cauliflower base with miso It was delicious. The people at the front of the restaurant were extremely friendly and gave us some tips on how to order , spice level etc They are Tokyo based and have only three locations in the USA Polite and friendly staff , food is really good and you can customize it to your preferences Food is served within minutes of seating
