Eating a business lunch at Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant in Plano was a delightful experience that left a positive impression on both my taste buds and my work-related agenda. The highlight of this visit was undoubtedly the food. Abuelo's offers a diverse Mexican menu with a wide range of options, and everything I sampled was delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the portions were generous. Their enchiladas and guacamole were standout items that were a hit with my colleagues as well. One of the restaurant's strengths for a business lunch was its seating capacity. Abuelo's provides ample seating, ensuring that our group of professionals could comfortably sit and discuss business matters without feeling crowded. The ambiance was pleasant and conducive to conversation. Furthermore, the service at Abuelo's was impressively fast. This is essential for a business lunch when time is often limited. The staff was attentive and efficient, ensuring that our orders were taken promptly and that the dishes arrived at our table in a timely manner. Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant in Plano proved to be an excellent choice for a business lunch. The combination of delectable Mexican cuisine, spacious seating, and efficient service made it a convenient and enjoyable place to conduct business discussions. I highly recommend Abuelo's to professionals looking for a reliable and satisfying dining experience during their workday.

We had lunch here and were very impressed by the ambience, service, and food quantity! The waiter Mike was very polite and attentive! The price was reasonable and portion size was huge! We will definitely be going again. We bought a $50 gift card but they charged me $3 as “packaging fee”!! This was outrageous! They did not do any “packing”!! I felt cheated - that’s why I am not giving 5 stars! I am charging them one star for writing a review! Edit: I went there again today for lunch. The vegetables in their quesadilla and fajitas were straight out of the California blend frozen bag - cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. Nothing Mexican about this. With the chips/salsa, our waiter Jordan asked if we’d like queso and we said ok. But was surprised to see an additional $10 on our bill for this! I wish we had been told it would be charged! I also do not like the “packaging charge” for a to-go order!

Had a chance to visit this restaurant during our visit to Dallas. As mentioned by many, the ambience is great, sitting area is huge and the service is excellent. The portion sizes are huge and they also have a good selection of cocktails. The kids menu also has a variety of standard options like rice, beans, quesadilla, milk, fries, soft drinks etc. The food though is a little bland, at least the vegetarian options we ordered. My suggestion to them would be to able to choose a spice level when ordering (mild, medium, hot etc) if possible. All in all, worth a visit for sure.

We had a wide variety of foods. Fajitas beef and chicken were served steaming hot. Enchildas were beef, cheese, and chicken, each delicious in its own genre. Tasty tamales and tacos. Chili rellenos were a little too heavily breaded, which detracted from both texture and taste, but the use of Anaheim pepper instead of standard pablano spiced thing up a little. Our server, Mike, was excellent, fast, attentive, and responsive to our requsts. Our search for the perfect enchilada may be over. We will have to return for a check on consistency, but this might be the place.

Typically, I like Abuelo's. This one was kinda meh. The regular nachos had more than 2,000 calories, so I got the veggie ones as they were like 1/3 the calories. The veggies were lettuce and pico de gallo. It was corn chips with cheese. Not very good. I was with a big group. However, the service was lackluster. One in my group had gluten allergies & even the chicken had breading on it. She looked for something to eat for a good half hour. The manager came over and was no help either. Kept having to ask for water refills. The skinny margarita was good. There was a parking space right up front when I got there. It was a weeknight and there were plenty of tables available as well.

I always enjoy the ambience at Abuelo's! I dined here with a group from work. I ordered the Fajita Salad with steak and it was delicious! I will definitely visit again sometime!

We stopped in for lunch and were starving. Chips were delicious and trio of salsa were yummy. They made an adjustment on the quesdilla to add a top for my teenager. And taco salad was fresh and tasted great. Super full when we left!

A perfect balance of flavors, the caramel, the flawless texture of the flan, and the heavenly whipped cream all came together to create a dessert experience that was pure perfection. The cooking technique is a work of art, elevating the flan to a level of perfection that can only be achieved through low temperature slow Bain Marie, precision and expertise. None of that gritty rushed overcooked texture, full of air pockets and dried out custard or imitation vanilla flavoring that can only dream of the complexity and depth of flavor this dessert offers. This flan is velvety, silky smooth, elegant and refined. If you're a flan enthusiast, this is an absolute must-try, a culinary masterpiece that will leave you craving for more! If nothing else, try it just for its artistry and culinary delight.

There was abkut 5 of us that went. We liked the ambience and the food was pretty tasty. The waitress was nice but didn't come to refill chips or drinks much.

First time to this restaurant in Plano, we had high expectations. The food wasn't that great, pechuga con calabaza was salty and abuelo's manjar was bland. The food wasn't worth the price we paid for. However, Diablo queso was good tho. The server (Jordan) forgot to put two small plates for us to share the appetizer. He also forgot our second order of drink, he didn't even apologize for that. Lastly, he didn't offer desserts when we were done. Not that we wanted a dessert, but this was just a lack of attention. Disappointing service. The place is beautiful, however, but we're not coming back.
