I recently stayed at this place for two nights. I was pleasantly surprised with how friendly the staff were. The cleanliness of the hotel, the meals, location and public transport was all at hand. I would not hesitate to stay there instead of the city any time. Julie and the manager were so helpful in all aspects. Could not fault my stay. Truly a great accommodation.

I was really surprised to see such beautiful tidy modern rooms. The bed was SUPER comfortable and the bathroom was really modern. BUT the most impressive thing about our stay was a staff member named Kristy. We left something behind in the room, I called, Kristy went and found it there in the room. She posted it back to us, and I am sooooooo grateful to her. Its rare to see people go above and beyond their duties. This young lady was unbelievable. I hope you get the recognition you deserve Kristy, you are a wonderful person xxx......Would stay here again in a heartbeat xx

I have high standards and this place has met/exceeded my expectations. I usually only stay in 4 and 5 star hotels but needed something more affordable whilst I am looking for permanent accomodation. I was worried about the shared bathroom especially because I am hygiene freak but it was no problem. Bathroom was sparkling clean and not busy when I used it. I did have a smaller room on my first night (double) which was a bit tight for a longer stay as I have a lot of luggage. I changed to a queen the next day which was really spacious, however quite far away from the bathroom toilet. If you are used to getting up at night to use the bathroom, maybe asked for a room closer to the bathroom ;) I got a drink voucher with my stay too which was another positive! The only little hiccup was that someone smoked in their room so the fire alarm went on and we had to evacuate late in the eve. Apart from that, all great!

Not bad but not great either. First of all the rooms are already very small but ours were next to an air vent or air con and we could hear a very load buzzing noise all night. There were no pens, tissues, face washers and the bin hadn’t been cleared from the last people. There was a gross large brown mark on the room service menu but apart from that the room was clean which is great. Be warned the TV isn’t hooked up to normal channels unless you spend 15 minutes logging into google play, one play, nine now etc. I’m not too sure on the social part of this hotel, as soon as you get out of the lift your greeted with a communal kitchen- living space and a small corridor with rooms and communal showers. I understand it’s a part of the hotel but i wouldn’t recommend it for anyone wanting privacy and who’s not there to ‘Eat, Play, Drink, Sleep’ as plastered all over the place. It’s cheep and cheerful but everything is very tight and stuffy and your suitcase takes up 90% of the room.

Really good hotel and good service. Staff are very helpful and flexible. We just stay half day and they let us check in earlier ( because the room is vacant) Room is clean and comfortable. Really good experience and much better than expected.

I could not recommend this place more, the rooms are modern and are always shockingly clean and it's more than affordable. I've been staying at least once a month for almost a year now for events in the area

I wasn't expecting was this good for the bargain prices, very clean bed are super comfy and good services as well. Highly recommend. Will be back next time

Was a Lot better than expected... Only downside is u have to go into the gaming roof for the key and the patrons are a little rough. Good happy team of helpful ppl tho!

En-route to Melbourne Airport we stayed overnight here. When we first drove and saw the place we thought oh dear but what a pleasant surprise it was. Our room with en-suite was excellent, the King Koil Bed was amazing, the bedding and linen was spotless, and to top it off, it's a great value place to stay so much so that we're planning on staying here again on our next trip later this year.

The manager is pretty nice and flexible acting with clients ( we got trouble with check-in, but he gets it done quickly for us). Beautiful and clean hotel, nice food, we got free 2 drinks, friendly staffs. Thank you very much! ☺️

Stayed at the Royal for 2 nights. We had 2 lunches and 1 dinner, all food out in a reasonable time and was delicious. The hotel was an awesome fun vibe, comfortable and great art work. We had an ensuite but the shared bathroom and kitchen was very clean. Pictures don't do it justice. Staff were lovely and fun, shout out to Alison and Mason. Above and beyond service, very much appreciated.
