I’ve had two very, very unpleasant experiences at this medical centre. My toddler had a viral infection from childcare and the male doctor made the most absurd comments insinuating she had coronavirus. Mind you I had to wait outside for 30 minutes, fill out heaps of forms only to have this doctor verbally ask me every single question that I answered on the form. Months later I then booked an appointment for myself after having a negative covid test (because it’s at the end of our street) and to see if I have a chest infection, and again was on the phone for a good 15 minutes verbally answering every question I answered on the forms. Then went on to ask questions about how many siblings I had, my parents, ect. I kindly said I don’t mean to be rude but I just need to know if I have a chest infection or not, which are irrelevant to my appointment today. The doctor then told me that other doctors I’ve seen are obviously not as good as doctors if this is the first time I’ve had this extensive of questioning, and that I shouldn’t come in then. Such a bizarre medical centre. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

Like numerous other reviews, you’re either told to go to emergency every single time, and kept in for longer unnecessary appointment. Their new protocol due to covid is beyond ridiculous. If you present with a cough you’re guided outside to a wet, cold damp outdoor tent (great in winter when you’re feeling sick!) where they come out in a complete bubble hazmat suit and treated like you’re at the infectious department at the WHO. This is 2023. It’s time to get some perspective. I barely was consulted. A quick temp check (yep no temperature like I said in the questionnaire prior to booking) and then a quick 20 sec stethoscope check through layers of jumpers to check my lungs, and then the typical covid questions (that I had answered in the questionnaire and again at the door just to sign in) I had a persistent wheeze crackle in my chest when exhaling which I tried to explain twice and the reason I was there, I have had pneumonia in the past as well as asthma hence why I was concerned. How can your previous history be addressed in an outdoor tent.. and during winter? Asked to sit on cold wet metal seats under a wet outdoor tent on top of damp faux grass outside next to an outdoor tap? Where is the duty of care? There are other illnesses than covid! I am all for being vigilant, but this is beyond extreme. You can’t even sit in reception prior to your appointment you have to sit in your car, call the clinic (that has about a 7 minute introduction message every single time) That was the last time visiting this place after saying never again after the last visit, it’s just gotten worse and all the great drs have since left. They just usually read your symptoms off a screen. It’s literally like google Dr. Do better! Just wish I got more photos of the outside “treatment area!” Edit: went to another clinic after suffering several days and saw a consulting Dr who was fabulous. I have pneumonia! Prescribed antibiotic and steroid for my lungs.

Dr Jo-Anne Zappia was the finest, most caring Doctor I've ever consulted. When I play the song "When Ye Go Away" by the Waterboy's I often think of her when I hear the second verse...It's goes...Her beauty is familiar, her voice is like a key, it opens up my soul and torches up a fire inside of me, her cloak is made of magic, around her table Angels play, and I will cry, when she goes away.

I find the service very disappointing. Having to wait outside in the rain is not how doctors surgeries were designed.

I’ve been attending the clinic for a number of years. My GP is Dr Noel Leon. He is loveliest, attentive, thorough and most understanding doctor I have ever had. I never feel rushed, he listens to any of my concerns and refers onto specialists when required. I can’t recommend his services enough.

I would highly recommend the Armstrong Street Medical Centre. Our doctor provides our family with exceptional care, and sound advice, and has a holistic and pragmatic approach to health. Reception staff are also great to deal with, always willing to go the extra mile, especially when we have last-minute issues with our children.

Always friendly, attentive and willing to help. After calling the surgery only 10 min before they closed, following a referral from the chemist to go straight to the Dr, they managed to squeeze us in for an appt. A kind Dr, with great bedside manor helped our teenage son, and he was on his necessary antibiotics by dinner time. Very impressive!!

Dr Leon does not make you feel like he's in a rush. He takes the time to ask relevant questions and think through the options with you in a spirit of collaborative. He's also mindful of looking for low-cost options. Highly recommended GP.

Consistently behind schedule. I waited for 25 minutes for a video appointment I booked on Monday. I rebooked another in person appointment on Tuesday and the Doctor was running +20 minutes late again and couldn't make the allotted time.

😐 I saw Dr Claire Owen and she was amazing! The out of pocket fee was only $11 - also amazing! Unfortunately while I was waiting I felt very worried as most of the people in the waiting area were not wearing masks. I was there for a condition that puts me in a vulnerable group for COVID. It's probabl...

😠 On Monday 21 March 2022 at approximately 11:15am, I called your clinic to make an appointment with Dr Donna for a pap smear. 😠 They now charge for appointments for anyone over 16 years old. The center used to be good, but since covid it has gone down hill. The reception staff don't seem to have any compassion, even sending an over 80 year old man away because he didn't have a pension card or a credit card to pay and they w...

😠 Not so Primary 👎 1 HOUR WAIT for a booked appointment for a private clinic is atrocious. Overbooked and no notification to let patients know that the doctors are running behind schedule.
