Seeing several other negative online reviews with similar experiences to me, I thought I’d better share mine. I’d noticed I’d still been charged 4 times over 4 weeks after the agreed final payment date, I tried to call several times about my issue, but no one was available to help me - These issues are a consistent pattern among these other reviews. So I decided to go in person to be met by the two, admittedly, very friendly owners (perhaps the only redeeming quality of this business). The situation goes as follows. I signed a form to end my contract on the 23rd of Feb, the final billing date SHOULD have been no later then the 23rd of March. I’d continued to be billed 4 times after that, I tried to get those 4 payments back, but they came up with some silly reason to only pay me back for 3 of the 4 owed payments, this was done all through a thinly veiled, friendly, “customer service” smile. The two owners also practically begged me to take this review down and tried to verbally de-legitimise all the other reviews with whom I share a very similar experience. With that said, the fact is they still owe me $20, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t that much money, but for a business with hundreds of members, each paying A LOT for a gym of such a mediocre standard, you’d think they’d be able to front the full amount of money that is owed. I do admittedly feel bad leaving a review for two gentlemen who genuinely have a nice energy about them, but I can’t get past the idea that they wouldn’t repay me the full amount they owed me. Ultimately, it’s just a gym, there’s nothing special about it or intrinsically bad about the experience you’ll have there. Just make sure to be careful with your money with this lot. My experience with leaving this gym has been astoundingly unpleasant.

This gym is so far worst gym around the area, they don’t turn Air conditioning on which is terrible.especially on a locked wear house with lot of windows. There’s no windows for free airflow, they would often turn on these fan which spinning heated air and make it difficult to breath, often I felt sick and couldn’t workout in there. I rather pay $50 extra per year to have a safe space at another gym, people go to gym to help our health but this place certainly would make you sick . Heat stroke

Good In a lot of aspects just needs more equipment such as another hack squats hip thrust machine etc. People are super nice and friendly though but I’d definitely recommend it. Did this ever end up happening ?

Simply bigger, best, well maintained, well equipped Gym I have ever seen. How good are these guys always improving and working really hard to keep up the high standards. Always keep changing the gym with new fit outs and reno. The reason for my review is that I was feeling bad not to appreciate these. As I am local and want to support my local hard working Gym. The manager Preet and all the staff members always greet you and very friendly. I never had any issue with my payment and these guys are very clear and honest with payment deductions. On the top always looked after me with a prices when I buy anything from supplement store and apparel, accessories shop. Gym is the best and you guys are the best. Well Done. Keep doing hard work guys.

This is such a fabulous gym!! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, they do a good job of keeping the gym clean and positive. Lots of equipment and space.

DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR BANK DETAILS!! I decided to give the gym a go on a month to month plan. I went three times but I found the gym quite dirty (stains all over the floor, bad smell, etc). I cancelled and agreed to pay out the following 28 days as per their policy. It has now been months and I've just realised they're still debiting my account $14.99 every week! I've called twice, sent five emails, and the only response I've received so far is we'll look into it. I've since moved countries so every call is costing me more and I can't go in and stay till they fix it. Honestly the worst experience with a gym that I've ever had. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else.

As per other bad reviews, I came here to say the same. The gym is huge, and very well equipped but although they have an exclusively female space, the equipment there is not strategically placed and we kept dealing with stranger looks while training abduction and leg curl in the open area, so I don’t think they protected women privacy, I think they just decide to stick girls there doing arms and keeping the superior member's machines free for guys. Quite often you can see dirty spots on the floor, some places/machines are smelly or dirty, the quality of accessories is not good (pretty old) and during the summer, the temperature inside is not comfortable. Finally, on top of everything, the following situation: I used to pay for a membership with no contract because I was not sure if I’d be living in the sunshine. Recently, I cancelled in order to upgrade my plan to a cheaper one and to my surprise, they charged me AGAIN for a $35 joining fee. I mean, I’m ok with the 4 weeks' notice, but why do I need to pay ANOTHER joining fee as I am a member? I asked for a refund through email and they said that the “joining fee is not a joining fee” it is because they have to set up a new payment amount. In the very same account, for an existing member. I’m quite upset but “abstracting” as it is the only place I have in walking distance. Make a favour for yourself and consider other gyms. EDIT 1 - 9 months later: I'm relocating to another city and I've written two emails asking for my cancellation but no answer back. Maybe it's poor customer service, or maybe it's not registering anything and making the process worse than actually is. Just a few times in my life I felt so dissatisfied with a place, especially a local gym with nothing special, it's so easy to ensure a good experience. EDIT 2 - The 28-day notice policy apparently can’t be done during the 11th month of my contract, so I’ll be attached until April. Today, 19/01/24, one of the lady's bathrooms is clogged and the spider webs are growing. Also, noticed paper warnings asking to not leave your belongings unattended and we all know, that if there is a sign, there is a story.

Some of the machines are broken and could be better options for leg exercises. Machine never gets wiped down don’t even get me start on the air conditioning. Friday I went to the gym, no staff (understandably public holiday) but the whole gym was locked no fan or air conditioning on and the heat was horrible. We felt so sick being in there we couldn’t breathe and continue our work out so we left. This gym never turn air conditioning on especially we needed the cool air most in this weather. It’s been like that for a while and Only gotten worst

Best gym in the area! The manager & staff are so nice, helpful and they do all they can to help you especially when your in need. They were so helpful when I got pregnant & helped with with my payments which was great communication & customer service on their part! I’ve been a member for more than 2years & have never had any issues. The gym is huge & they have everything I love to use. Positive atmosphere and I highly recommend! Very affordable & they have so much variety to choose from, as well as a room for females if you wish to work out away from the main area.

I have been to many gyms over the years and Sunshine Fitness is up there with the very best. Very enjoyable atmosphere and I always feel so very welcome by the friendly staff. They genuinely care about the gym and the people who train there, which I think is quite rare. Clean and well-maintained equipment. I can highly recommend this place. The enormous picture of Kai Greene makes it feel like a true church of iron to me ;)

I have been going here for the better part of 3 years. Fantastic clean gym with a great range of equipment and facilities. Always expanding the range of equipment which is great for keeping your workouts fresh. Not only that, the owners are staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I would HIGHLY recommend this gym to anyone.

They continued to debit my account when the lockdown was on and access to the gym wasnt available. No one from the gym or debit success reply or want to fix the situation. They immediately get onto debt collectors when i stop the payments, bloody terrible service over a small amount of money. would not ever recommend this gym.

I’ve been going to this quiet some times now, the major problem is that they never turn the aircon on. The gym heats up really bad and no where for free air flow it’s really bad and sometimes me and my gym friends have to skip gym because it’s impossible to workout in the heat and often I felt really sick being in there.

Finally found my home! After 3 years trying to find the right gym, I'm very pleased to say I've found the right one! The gym is very well stocked with equipment and there is no one staring at you - everyone is just there doing their thing! The owners and their staff are all lovely. I always get a smile and wave when I walk in. I've been after hours and never felt unsafe. If you're looking for a gym around Sunshine, I couldn't recommend Sunshine Fitness enough.

Best gym in west. Been here for a year now and never had same atmosphere and good vibes anywhere else. All other members are very helpful and cooperative. Staff is good too. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for professional and clean setup.

Let me tell you my experience, I went to this gym yesterday asking about the membership details and how it works . The man giving me information no idea how to attract the members at all . I was asking the free trial before I start and he was telling me story about giving me 10yrs experience and telling me if you train for 10yrs you don’t need a gym trial . Well if you want to sell in the market you know how to sell yourself and need to attract the people around . I was asking just couple trails before I convert to be a member . I didn’t ask the whole months / year membership freee . The first impression and experience was real bad

Great gym facilities with all the necessary equipment. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the managers who are extremely welcoming and always happy to assist where possible. Positive vibes all around. I would highly recommend this gym, especially to those who live in the area and are looking to achieve their fitness goals.

Bought some products on their site via debit card as their Paypal wouldn't work. That was the first red flag I should've paid attention to. 10 days later I had no product and they sent an email stating a refund would be received in up to TEN days. No explanation, no apology, no replies to my emails or FB messages, nothing. Pathetic. Bunch of time wasting crooks.

Searching fora new gym to workout peacefully this is the one.Good equipment, decent crowd, friendly staff.

Be careful, I have joined Sunshine Fitness on November of 2022, but I knew that I signed a contract of 1 year., but between this time I have moved interstates and would not be able to keep going to this gym , but accepted the fact that I would have to pay for 1 year, but, after one year, no one called me to see if I would like to keep the plan or to cancel it, and it just kept going, and now when I realized that this money was coming out my bank account every week for the past 2 years, I chocked and tried to cancel it, and they said to me that there is a cancelation notice, I was like, JESUS : 0 I understand that I should have kept my eyes on it, but like, the gym that I go now, they call me if something is wrong, the plan is for 12 months on the end of it they call you and ask if you want to keep with your enrolment, like, they know if you have been attending or not, they can see it on the system, and I just felt like an opportunity to make money. They don't really care, now days are so many people that don't speak English well and don't understand how the gym's procedures work, and I was one of this people who didn't speak English fluently. Anyway, not a good experience for me.

I’ve been working out in this gym for last couple of months now. The staff are very friendly and equipment is extremely good. Great gym.

This is a decent gym, tidy and well-maintained. Casual entry is $10. Contains mostly Nautilus and Precor equipment, with some Hammer Strength, Life Fitness and Technogym machines. Has a variety of upper body machines, especially a row of biceps and triceps if you want to work on arms. Good floor section with dumbbells, fixed barbells with flat and adjustable benches. There's a ladies section but it's very small and has the Life Fitness Circuit Series machines. These are the button selection equipment, suitable for beginners but not ideal for intermediate or advanced female lifters. This gym also has a hack squat, which for some reason isn't a staple of many gyms. Sunshine Fitness 24/7 is pretty well-equipped. Some considerations for new equipment: - Nautilus Glute Drive, or some other hip thrust machine; - Nautilus incline chest press; - Cybex squat press, or some other pivot/leverage leg press (these are an alternative, and in my opinion better than the fixed 45 degree versions); - Extra Smith machines. The one Precor one at the gym does not go low enough for me to do hip thrusts/glute bridges; - Pendulum squat. These will fire up your quads. Looks like a second venue will open in Truganina later this year, and keen to visit there too.

A really good gym, especially for beginners like me. Staff are friendly and respectful. Other gym users are nice and always minding their own business too. Equipment are always clean and wiped every night, which is good to see. But men toilet needs some smell improvement. Boxing area is nice too, although I wish they had a speedball. However, overall, been using this gym for 3 months and am very happy with it so far.

Best place for Crossfit and Combines. The weight section is highly equipped .I had to travel to a different state due to Covid Border restrcitions and they were very cooperative in my subscription management. Preet the manager is a lad!

Been going to this gym since after covid and am really impress with the professionalism that this gym provides. It has all the necessary equipment for you to complete your workout and the managers here are very friendly and respectful. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere within the gym is always nice and positive, it really gets you in the mood to workout. Also the staff there are very friendly and sociable. The gym itself has a vast variety of equipment that would satisfy your needs.

This is among one of the best gym I've ever been to, clean, professional environment with a great atmosphere and well maintained equipment. The staff are always super helpful the couple of time I've visit here casually. There are plentiful equipment to get you through any workout. My only concern is that I wish they had better equipment in the strength area, there is simply too much clutter of different branded weight plates, and the squat/bench racks are not on par with equipment from other gyms. Maybe some nicer calibrated plates or better combo racks?. Overall, I highly recommend this gym and consider moving here in the foreseeable future

Gym is big with plenty of space with heaps of machines and free weight area. Staff are very friendly and were very quick to rectify a membership billing error. Highly recommend this gym
