The Cannoli Bar is a hidden, delicious, historic gem! Hidden away in a small, residential street surrounded by triple fronted brick veneers built mostly in the 50's and 60's, it looks like it was originally built as a local milkbar to serve people within walking distance when supermarkets didn't really exist as we know them now and few people had cars. We visited on a late afternoon weekday, shortly before closing, and managed to get the last table available. It's a tiny Cafe with limited seating selling traditional Cannoli, coffee, and a small menu of Sicilian light meals and snacks, like Nonna used to make. They have won awards for the best Cannoli, and they deserve it. We bought a selection and they were super fresh, light and crispy and full of flavour. Beautifully presented and decorated. My favourite by far was the traditional ricotta one. Just the right amount of tangy lemon zest, not too sweet and freshly filled just before serving. Absolutely delicious! Our coffees went perfectly with them. The decor is very 50-60's, Laminex tables, orange vinyl seats, the prints on the walls, lighting etc. A very homey atmosphere, especially in the tiny side room. A tiny, nostalgic trip with yummy food! Staff are really friendly, explaining the choices and smiling as they brought our treats to the table. There is limited seating inside, as well as a few tables outside. Expect to get takeaway if you visit when they are really busy, which I suspect is most of the time.

Cannoli Bar in Avondale heights has been on my mind to visit from the day I heard about it! I decided to take the drive and pick up some delicious cannoli. Honestly it was freaking amazing, I could not rate it any higher! The shell was so crispy and fresh and had the perfect filling. I’m an OG ricotta kinda gal and this place hit the spot!! We tried a range of their other “special” flavours including blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu and almond with the fave being the tiramisu! I absolutely can’t wait to go back to try their other custards and pistachio! 🫶🏼 I would have gotten more but I didn’t see the freshly piped cannoli menu till after ordering and I’d already ordered the three in the display 😂! Obviously the ones in the display didn’t have the same crispy shell but nonetheless they were yummy! The shop reminds me of my nonnas house, it’s so dainty and gorgeous! The food looked incredible so I can’t wait to come dine for lunch next time and have some arrancini and pizza 😍 4.8/5

Possibly one of the best hidden but famous gems in Melbourne 😍😍❤️. If you are in Melbourne, or travelling from afar, this will surely be one of your favourite places. The welcoming feeling when you are in there, the team is amazing, like my best friends nonna, family vibes, delicious food. Great coffee. And the cannolis.. Oh no. So damn good. So good. This place on repeat.

Go for the cannoli, stay for basically everything else, especially the granita 🤌🏻 this place can do no wrong, but get in early because it’s no secret how amazing it is, staff are fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable, food and coffee is next level! Comfort food capital and dog friendly (outside of course)

We came here on a Saturday for lunch, first time coming here and I have to say it reminded me of home, I felt like I was sitting in my nonnas kitchen eating again a memory I miss dearly. The food here is absolutely amazing everything is home made with love. The staff were amazing so kind and caring, great customers service. This place was worth the 40min drive, I'll definitely be back.

Cannoli bar is a MUST TRY and it is a pistachio lover's paradise! We tried the panettone during Christmas and we went back today to try the Sicilian pistacchio brioches and the pistacchio tart: they were simply amazing! Next time we will try to avoid the pistacchio goods and try somethings else, but this is not a promise. Ottimo lavoro ragazzi!

Cannoli Tastes just like Italy. Coffee is a bit Melbourne (acidic to me). Would have loved a more Italian blend. But I’ll be back again and again!

Beautiful cannoli but really overpriced! Original flavors $6 each Special flavors $7 each There is no competition in the area. When they opened 3 years ago prices were $4.5 for original which was very reasonable. Bought the cannoli for a special occasion

We really love this spot for a relaxed breakfast and I am glad it's only 10 minutes away from us, we have been here twice and I totally recommend you try a bit of everything they have - their focaccia, cannoli and coffee are our top favourites 💚

Absolutely loved my experience here! I would dare say best cannoli in Melbourne. I got the lemon meringue and pistachio - from the cream, the shell and beautiful additions. The pizza slices were also delicious (albeit a bit pricey at $17 a slice). Thanks so much guys ✨

The best cannoli’s in all of Melbourne!! My partner and I absolutely love visiting this place. Everyone is so friendly and the food (pastries, homemade pizza’s, baked goods) are just too good.

I took my husband here because he had never tried cannoli before and I wanted him to have a good experience. We were blown away by the cannoli, you can smell the deliciousness from down the street. Our favorite was the pistachio! We will definitely be back :)

A bit of surprise at first to find a cafe in a residential area, but by the time we left i wished i lived across the street :) Food was nice, we even had some cannolis for takeaway. Friendly service was a plus!

🫐 Blueberry 🍓 Strawberry 🍫 Bueno 🍮 Original Choc Custard 🍋 Lemon Meringue You’re gonna wanna swipe this one 😍➡️ Everything at the Cannoli Bar is authentically handmade fresh. You will find all of your classic usual flavours along with more creative, modern offerings. My favourite was the Bueno, which I thought might be too sweet but ended up being perfectly balanced, as well as the Blueberry Cheesecake. I found some were more crisp than others. If you’re feeling like something savoury, there are assorted pizzas, arancini and pastas on offer. 5 cannoli and 2 coffees to go cost us $40. Currently during lockdown 5.0 they are selling their famous DIY packs, so get down and support them if you have the means. They also have some pretty cool merch. ⭐️4/5

Friendly staff, great music and a very welcoming family vibe. The cannoli's are sensational as are the sausage rolls and calzones. This place never gets old. I love Cannoli Bar.

This place is amazing. Ordered a continental cake for my mother in laws birthday and it was so delicious. Everyone loved it. Highly recommend. Also could not believe how the shop has expanded with other foods on offer.

Awesome find hidden on a residential street off the main road. Cozy interior and plenty of seating outside. Various specialty flavoured cannoli and baked treats plus classic flavour cannoli piped to order. Other savoury things that were divine. We ordered a slice of a ham, potato, onion and tomato pizza/calzone type thing and it was fantastic. Coffee was quite strong but still good.

Love this place!! So close to where I grew up, visiting family and we had to check this place out. Wasn't disappointed. Cannoli amazing, food amazing, the decor amazing and the staff all look like they love their job. What a great concept turning this old Milk Bar into a cannoli bar. 3pm in the arvo and people still lining up out the door. Well done everyone!!

If you're in the area please do yourself a favour and pop into Cannoli Bar! The cannoli's are fresh and made to order. Perfect with a cup of coffee

Omg, I've never had such a foodgasm in my mouth. Not that I have had that much experience in cannolis but this will be what I hold the others up to from now. Not only that, they serve good looking table food and their coffee is pretty damn good. I was thrown off as you travel through residential streets to get there, you think you have taken a wrong turn or the address is wrong. But boom, there it is, clearly signed and bustling with people. It adds to that overall, almost family type feel to it. Absolutely perfect.
