I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I booked this hotel for a room to stay at for my birthday, as soon as I walked in I was told if I smoked 3 fire trucks would come and I would be fined $6000. They also tried to make me pay another $200 on top of the $378 I was already paying in case we trashed the room. A normal looking couple proceeded to walk in and we asked them if they had been told the same thing and if they had to pay the extra to cover their room and they said no. I cannot express how disgusting I was treated because I have tattoos and piercings. I left and got a cheaper air bnb house that was absolutely lovely to me. Don’t go here unless you want to be judged on your looks.

My stay here has been nothing short of outstanding. The General Manager Belinda and her team are super friendly, professional and make you feel at home from the moment you step into the premises. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I have now recommended many colleagues and family stay here when in Melbourne - it's a fantastic location and the perfect home away from home.

Been staying at the Sebel in Moonee Ponds for a couple of months now, for work. Fantastic location near many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets & shops. Comfortable size rooms with all you need for extended stays. The staff is always very friendly & the GM is always checking if there's anything that can be done to make you more comfortable. There's also a nice, reasonably priced, restaurant downstairs if you don't feel like going anywhere...

This was our third stay at The Sebel Melbourne Moonee Ponds. You can tell this is a VERY well managed Hotel. Belinda and her team are yet to disappoint. Cleanliness and attention to detail are spot on. Reception staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. On booking, my husband advised the team it was my birthday. They organised a drink and chocolates in our room to celebrate, which was just so thoughtful. Location is superb - great shopping and restaurants close by. Moonee Ponds station is a 5 minute walk and then straight in to town by train. Keep up the excellent work, team. Your service is appreciated.

I have been a long stay customer at the Sebel Moonee Ponds for the past 6 months. The hotel is almost new and the facilities are clean and spotless. All of the staff including the Manager Belinda are extremely kind and attentive. I have a group of friends coming from NZ later this year and have recommended them all to stay here.

Returned again to the Sebel and the apartment staff service is as good as last time. Friendly welcoming staff and a clean well appointed apartment the bathroom products are beautiful!!! Our favourite accommodation whilst in Melbourne and a much better location than the CBD.

I’ve stayed here 3 times in the past 6 months and the Sebel Moonee Ponds has always been exceptional and staffed by a friendly team. The accomodation is modern, clean and quiet.

Sweet hospitality that beyond expectations. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. I love all the details the hotel presented from the reception to housekeeping. Very clean and neat. Even the plates under the hand wash liquids in the public toilets presented how they attend to details. Warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout make the stay uniquely relaxed and pleasant.

Nice and clean, quiet place. Location is convenient as it is in the middle between the city and the airport, and adjacent to the shopping centre. Staffs were all kind and friendly, I will come back later for sure.

My partner stays here when he travels for work and every so often I join him. I'm always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much when you need help. This stay as it's near Christmas we were given some cookies. It's the little things that make the difference.

The welcome at the front desk was lovely. The room was clean, and well laid out. It had good vibes and a beautiful window letting the outside in. I will happily stay here again. It is close to good restaurants and great coffee :)).

That's my 5th tines in this beautiful hotel I'm doing my after surgery Rehab come out from the hospital today to the room to see my room all set up for me with all my Rehab iquements. We recently stayed here for 12 nights in a one bedroom king apartment. We had originally booked a queen room but were upgraded at check in. We did have to pay a $500 bond when we checked in which gets refunded at the end of your stay. The room was nice with a full kitchen, a bedroom and a small separate living room. We were really happy with how clean it was when we arrived and there were some chocolates and bottled water waiting for us in the room which was such a nice surprise. The location is great with heaps of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well as public transport. The onsite restaurant, Saros, also has exceptional food and is worth a visit. Belinda and the reception team were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend staying here if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Melbourne suburbs. We hope to back! :)

Spoiled myself for my birthday at the hotel for 3 days. Rooms are amazing. Service is brilliant. Location is lovely. Couldnt ask for more. I will come again!

Hi Belinda Lee This review is to clarify what happened with the unjust cancellation of our booking so you can't use the "we have zero tolerance for rude behavior" line. We only made remarks/comments As We WERE LEAVING. I'm sure you'll try and fabricate something based on your "feelings" but here's what happened. We almost completed the check in with a different staff member and were about to pay. My friend tried using his wife's card but was told that he had to use one under his name because of fraud concerns. He then proceeded to pay with his card and was told there would be a surcharge then which my other friend then offered to pay. Belinda standing behind the staff member storms to the front and said that she was cancelling our stay because she felt "uncomfortable" we tried to figure out why and after a while she said because of credit card fraud. David offered her to talk to his wife over the phone and confirm that it was her even though we didn't end up using that card.

My husband Geoff Brown booked our stay at The Sebel for us to spend the night on the 31st of Dec. 2022 and we checked out 1st of January 2023. Location is great. Staff are amazing at the Front Desk. Thanks for the Upgrade to Rm. 810 :) the room is clean and well presented. I'll definitely recommend "The Sebel Moone Ponds" to my friends.

Loved my stay! I had the pleasure of spending two nights at The Sebel recently and there is nothing else to say except 'Thank you!" The staff were amazing, every whim and question was met with courtesy and so much helpful information. We ate in the restaurant and the food was just delicious, they catered to our needs perfectly and made sure everything was just right. The location was perfect for our needs and we were given expert advice on the best spots in the area to visit. Definitely a stay to remember, thank you so much!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Sebel Moonee Ponds. The room was very clean and tidy with a kitchen, room size was good with a balcony looking towards Docklands. Had good size fridge, oven & microwave. Also washing machine which was good for us as we stayed 8 nights. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was good. Great location with a very good selection of restuarants of varied cuisines, wine bars & cafes within a 5 minute walk of the Sebel. Shopping centre located across the road with Coles and other variety stores. The Moonee Ponds train station only a 3-5 minute walk in one direction, with also the Tram 59 the same distance taking you into the Melbourne CBD. Can also swap over to the Tram 57 to go via North Melbourne. The staff members were very welcoming and helpful. Very accomodating in our 8 day stay. I can highly recommend the Sebel Melbourne Moonee Ponds accommodation and staff. Thank you Belinda for your kindness and to your staff. warm regards

Excellent hotel! Wonderful staff and modern, clean and comfortable apartments! All the amenities required for a home away from home stay. Conveniently located near shops, restaurants and public transport.

I have stayed here multiple times while on family business in Melbourne. I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, the lifts are fast, and the staff are very nice and accommodating. It attracts a quieter sort of guest as well, so it was rare to have any noisy neighbors. The restaurant isn't open 7 days a week, but there are plenty of other spots to eat and drink nearby. If it's open, though, the bar is a good spot for a glass of wine. I stayed in one-bedroom units every time I visited, which is so much more restful if you are staying for more than a few nights. The location is super-convenient to groceries, restaurants, hairdressers, etc - all at your doorstep in Moonee Ponds. Easy access to the city with trains and trams running all days of the week. This hotel ticks all the boxes, and I wish all 4-star hotels were run like this,

Really enjoyed my stay. The staff are very helpful and gave some great recommendations for breakfast. The Manager greeted us on arrival and remembered the note about my partner's birthday with a bottle of sparkling in our room and an upgrade. Was a great stay and can't wait to be back.

Campbell has great customer service, made our check in super easy after a very long flights. The hotel is super clean and tidy with excellent location.

We stay here often and love it! The service and cleanliness of the room is exceptional. Belinda and the team are wonderful to deal with. Very attentive and friendly service.

We absolutely love the Sebel and particularly Saros Bar and Dining. The food, the decor, the service is first rate. If we lived closer we would definitely be regulars, but whenever we are in the area it is our first choice for staying and dining.

Got upgraded to a king corner suite with a bottle of champagne thrown in too. Nice enough room and was able to come back and collect a forgotten water bottle after we had checked out. Really enjoyed the one night stay

We stayed there while the most recent Victorian lockdown was introduced and the hotel were kind enough to refund our remaining nights which we were very appreciative of. They also gave us a free upgrade to a two bedroom apartment during our stay. Due to the wonderful service I would make an effort to return to this hotel and highly recommend it to others. Thank you!

I was lucky enough to sneak in a quick weekend away in Melbourne recently between lockdowns. Instead of staying in the city I thought I'd look for something a little different and the Sebel in Moonee Ponds was it. The staff were warm and welcoming when I checked in and were more than helpful with sightseeing suggestions. Dinner at Saros (the in house restaurant) was amazing as was their selection of wines.
