Tourist attraction Hiking area

👍👍 This place is so bad I've gone hiking here probably 9 times in the last 3 weeks. Many nuances . Gets busy on weekends. People need to learn how to deal with toilet paper ugh.

We got to the parking area and had a bit of a challenge finding the trail markings. Thanks to the All Trails app navigation for the Apache Tears Perlite Trail, we were able to get to the trail. It was awesome to see water running in the creek. The hike was perfect and weather was amazing. We saw people on horseback as well. The kids found a wall of perlite on the left side of the trail near the end of the trail. There were other kids digging in the wall finding apache tears. We didn't go any further on the trail after that. There were a lot of smaller loose apache tears on the ground near the wall of perilte. It was the perfect family hike.

This is a beautiful place to hike. Other than all the garbage left from people that can't " pack in and pack out" it's okay

The beauty of the area was astounding, though so much litter/broken glass took away from its potential. Nice hikes, make sure you're sun screened up, and keep an eye out for Apache Tears!
