The place is easy to find, other than follow gmaps, this place is across the main train station of Surakarta, Solo Balapan. Located on the main road, so you can park your vehicle on the side of the road. The place is really famous and make it quite crowded almost all the time, especially at lunch time. The restaurant is pretty small, so when its packed you'll hard to find empty seat. The menu mostly consist of food based on goat's meat. Like satay, 'tongseng', 'gulai', and etc. The most famous one here is 'satay buntal', grounded meat that seasoned with spices before shaped long on the stay's stick. Taste good, the portion also large, and price understandable for meat based food.

Classic skewer stall Being a traditionally grilled skewer using charcoal, the skewer was awesome. I tried the Sate biasa (common) and sate Buntel (mince meat puffy skewer), and also Tongseng It comes with a plate of rice for every person. You can opt out, but eating skewers only doesn't seem like a good idea The cabbage and soy sauce under the skewers was edible, and it has some crunchiness in it, combining with the skewer meat in your mouth is the best combination Skewer meat was tender and the spices was well marinated. Just reading my review won't make you taste the real one.. Come and try it for yourself.. Ps. The hot tea is so fragrant.. With a slice of orange in it (yes you read it right, not lemon.. Orange)

The location is strategically located near the Solo Balapan station. The rooms are cramped and there is some trash on the floor. I ordered a traditional solo foods, tongseng and sate buntel. I like tongseng so much. The satay has too much sweet soy souce so it's too sweet.

The authentic goat satay in Solo. Especially the "sate buntel". I visited this place at lunch time, it's so crowded but the service is fast, so no need to worry 👍. I ordered the sate buntel, it taste so delicious and fresh. The price very affordable, for the portion and the satay it's so worth it.

My very first time to taste Sate Bunthel and love it! Thankfully that there was no queue when I was there. Small place located just couple minutes walking from Solo Balapan train station. The satay tastes so good for me. Meaty perfect texture. Lovely staffs! Fair price! Appreciate for the extra smoke 😂 also, the live music is kinda vibes!

Don't let the poorly lit and shabby look of this eatery fool you. The satay is damn good. Especially the minced meat loaf stick version. Not cheap by Indonesian standards but there's a reason why. Because it's really good. It was just a random choice for me but turned out to be an excellent choice.

This place is not too far from the Solo Balapan station, so i often visit this place when going home. The restaurant always full. Actually the service not too long for waiting. I give 3 stars coz i ate last time, the taste isnt not same. I dunno maybe just my tongue. But the sate buntel is the best.

I highly recommend if you are looking for "goat satay" with good taste and a decent portion can be filling. For a price of 30 thousand rupiah you can get 10 very delicious "goat satay" sticks complete with rice. The location is not far from the "Balapan Solo" train station, suitable for those of you who have just traveled by train.

One of the best satay in Solo. I recommend you this place other than Pak Manto, honestly this one is better in my opinion. My fav is Sate Buntel. The taste, texture, aromatic, and seasoning are perfectly served. Please come early to avoid the queue.

This satay had strategic place near solo balapan train station. They served so many foods based on lamb such as satay kambing, satay buntel, tengkleng, tongseng and etc. I would like to describe what I ordered last week which were satay buntel and tengkleng. For the satay its too sweet for me but the taste was good enough tho. And the tengkleng was not well-seasoned but its meat was very tender. The last but not least, you guys should not worry about the price, because its not expensive, 18k only for 1 portion of satay buntel. Woww, me like it

Made of goat meat chopped, seasoned, wrapped in alumunium foil and then grilled. Served with soy sauce and sliced cabbage, shallots, cayenne pepper and tomatoes... delish! I like that the meat is softer than the regular sate/skewer. And it's really, really, really good. The place is not so big and it's always full. I don't really like the krengsengan, tho.. just not my favourite taste. It's located near the central train station in Solo, stasiun Solo Balapan, and it's not pricey. A must go-to-place when you visit Solo.

i choose Sate Buntel coz more herbs mixed in with the meat that reduce all the unpleasant smell or taste of the meat. staff are helpful but well for the place is packed but nothing to do about this, since the affordable price which almost 50% cheaper than others surely lured a lot meat lovers to come.

Its satay taste good but the ambience too crowded and comfortless for me.

What I really love is they cook sate buntel with aluminium foil first, so the sate buntel wasn't burnt and still juice inside. The price for sate buntel was really cheap, with 20.000 rupiah you can get 2 medium size of sate buntel.
