Sate kambing is soooo hard. It is no different like you eat rubber. Tongseng is a little better but they are so pricy for foodstreet.

Amazing taste, very iconic culinary place. Always very crowded and I suggested you to come before lunch time to avoid having several main menu being sold out. It is very recommended to order the satay buntel and goat satay. The tengkleng is average though.

Always come to this place whenever I'm in Solo. One of the best Sate Buntel restaurant, and the Tengkleng is truly yummy. The Sate Buntel (55k) consists of 2 big pieces but it's satisfying. The parking lot is not too big and the seating area is very cramped. During this pandemic I think it is best to order take away

One of the most famous lamb satays in Surakarta. Visited at noon near lunch time, we found that the place was crowded, fortunately we managed to find some seats. One of the staff came to us in no time for our orders, went for lamb satay, sate buntel (seasoned minced meat wrapped in fatty parts), and tongseng masak (lamb leftovers in light turmeric coconut milk). Orders were ready in about 15 minutes. The satay was quite tender, seasoned just right, served with shredded cabbage and shallots, tasted savory and a bit sweet, easily became one of my favorite satays. The satay buntel was a bit dry outside but juicy inside, tasted good but honestly not my favorite. The tengkleng was somewhat good and the leftovers was tender enough to bit and chew. Overall nothing to complain for. Price is standard. Staffs were quite helpful. There is no special place for parking. Cash and non-cash payment accepted. One thing to consider, might be better not to visit at the noon in the dry (between August to late September/ early October) season, it’s unbearably hot inside the place.

Delicious Goat Satay, Tengkleng and Tongseng. Fast service, even when crowded with visitors, because the staffs are very responsive. Very recommended culinary place in Surakarta. Price also cheap enough.

This is one of the most 20 culinary food in Solo and I really really fall in love with buntel satay and goat satay. The price only 40.000/ plate. The best menu is buntel satay, it is so palatable and chewy. It also serves tengkleng and coconut water. The place is always full of people. If I visit Solo at twice I will try it again since it is really make me satisfied

Very delicious and thick goat satay. Worth it. It's easily get crowded, so come early. Recommended to come by motorcycle, because of small parking spot.

This place is so authentic...it is the one and only in SOLO Sate Mbok Galak, called like that because the Loud voice from the owner to their staff, thats why we called her. Ive been always have sate buntel and lamb satay since i was a child. And this place is dont change at all. Always recommended to have lunch here :)

One of the famous lamb cuisine in Solo. The 2nd and present Indonesian president are loyal customers of this restaurant. It's pricy of course. The taste originally 'Solo'. Recommended

A must place to eat mutton sate & tongseng! Never missed visiting the place when back to Klaten. The size of satay is big & meat is fresh & tender especially satay buntel

Forget about the cholestrol and treat your tongue with the best lamb dish in Solo: Sate Buntel Mbo Galak! I usually avoid lamb because it smells funky, but Mbo Galak has successfully cooked the lamb at her best so all the dishes taste so good and most of it, no goaty smell at all! I do really recommend you to try the combination of sate buntel and sate kambing and dont forget es kelapa muda.

The signature sate lilit tastes awesome! Although not recommended for dining in. Very crowded and hot. Heat from kitchen + weather made me hard to breathe

This satay food stalls had lamb satay, in big slices. One portion of ten satay with price 55K rupiahs. Same portion of ‘sate buntel’ had 2 big satay. Full enough for 2 person. Tengkleng or tongseng also delicious for 40K rupiahs. The price was rather high, worth for big portion and good taste. Satay lover should try this stalls.

The place is quite spacious and comfortable. Although it's a bit crowded with visitors because the food is really delicious. Especially the "sate buntel," it's incredibly tasty! There's a street musician performing songs, adding to the lively atmosphere. For me, the singing wasn't disruptive, although it was quite loud, it was actually entertaining. All the dishes are delicious, except for the gulai. Maybe I wasn't lucky that time, as I found the gulai to be a bit tough, although the taste was still good, it was a bit difficult to chew. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's recommended for all you lamb lovers, satay, tengkleng, tongseng, gulai tastes good, the portion is too much tho (for me...) and the lamb chop is still too big for me to just eat on one bite...I think the texture of satay is needed to make it softer There's live street music just right in front of the tables, it does make more calming down for the ones who dont like crowd and bloody hot temperature.

Had the chance to visit last weekend. Came around busiest hour for lunch. Service was relatively quick. Portion is big. Sate was definitely a must try with the highlight on sate buntel.

Most of their menus are nice,, although IMHO their satay/skewers may relatively leaning to tough side. Tables/seats are limited, so expect long queing during peak dine-in hours

One of famous sate kambing in solo. It:s getting crowded every day, especially on weekend and holidays. Food is kinda so and so nowadays, they were not like the used to be. All food is pre-cooked now (I think) decreasing its taste and freshness.
