Famous legendary soto in Solo for breakfast. Food. I had 2 bowls alone. Portion wise not too big for me. Simply delicious. I had beef slices in the soto. I saw some people had it with chicken. Soup clear, but aromatic, simple, savory, and served hot. Very comforting. Meat was tender. Mixed with rice. In the middle of the tables were choices of condiments. I tried perkedel (fried mashed potatoes), but honestly I don’t like the perkedel. For drink, must try the tea. Tea from solo has been well known for the unique aroma from mixing different brands of tea leaves, served plain or with sugar. Place. Sign is clearly visible from road, although the location is a bit inside the small alley, around 7 meters from main road. Crowded, but high customer turnover. Easy to get seat. Relative clean place and tables. Parking will be a but challenge during peak hour. Car can be parked road side. Service. Standard, but serving time was excellent. During busy hour they can easily forgetful. Need to remind the waiters to serve your order. Price. Affordable. But to some locals, they said it’s already in a medium price range.

One of legendary soto in Solo, included in President Jokowi's culinary list. The beef soto is good, refreshing, or Javanese will say "segerrr", the beef was also quite tender. The highlight is of course the different side dishes. Here are the must try in order of importance: • tempe goreng & mendoan (ask for the freshly fried still hot ones) • the different offals (tripe, tongue, lung, tendon, intestine, brain) • sosis solo The price is OK for Solo, cheap for tourists, on average you'll spend about Rp. 25,000 - 50,000. The space is quite big, can accommodate moderate-size groups, but you may have to wait a while, it's always full. It's located just east if Triwindu Market, an antique market & also The Mangkunegaran Palace. You can head over there after you fill you tummy.

Soto Triwindu located at Jl.Teuku Umar - Keprabon ( actually inside small road Jl.Seram ) Parking is on the side of the street attendant will assist you ( during peak time will be very difficult to find parking slot ). Dining area is clean , neat and  spacious. One of legend  Soto in Solo with  typical clear  soup herb plus beef meat . Availabel  additional gorengan like sosis solo , tempe goreng , koyor , etc Delicious   ... 👍👍👍 Note : Sorry this time I take photo of my empty bowl 😄, too crowded at that time .

Summary: Fantastic place. The soup is delicious, and it's a cool, old-school place. If you get there as soon as they open, you get to also enjoy the fresh gorengan. Would recommend. Quality: Fantastic. The soup is absolutely delicious on it's own. Combine it with some of the sides they keep on/in the weird desk-like counters and it's an unbeatable combination. Value: The portions are small, but the price is very reasonable, so it's totally worth it. Ambiance/service: From the traditional style soup cooker to the building itself, it feels like a very old-school, classic place. Both times I've been there, the the other customers were super friendly and welcoming.

Good place to start your day. They only have several items on the menu, but don't let it fool you. If you come around noon, you might not get the piece of the action. They also offer side dishes that can be combine with the soup. My recommendation try fried meat (empal) and fried lungs. It has a hint of sweetness, perfect combination with the very refreshing soup. They say the president eats here often!

A must visit if you want to taste the original culinary in Solo. It's located near the Pura Mangkunegaran, in a small alley, hence quite secluded. For generations, the owner of the place have been cooking the soto (meat soup) on firewood, which explain the unique, delicious taste. Try also the tamarind juice with ice. Recommended

Taste***** It is very tasteful, and rich in flavour, I even don't have to put extra salt in it, because the soup already perfect, the meat is also tender, I like it. Place***** It has nostalgic ambience, a kind of traditional store rarely found in this modern age Price**** A bit pricey, soto plus dice for 17k, but I think it worth it

One of legendary Soto in Solo, even the president of Indonesia dine here. The Soto is fresh with various kind of sate (satay) for the side. But be ready for the queue (line), it is always crowded.

A humble local eateries that serves Soto Solo since even before the Indonesia’s Independence. It is indeed a legendary one. A combination of sliced beef, beansprout, fried shallot, chopped celery leaves and white rice drowned in soup. In it’s simplicity, the meal’s warmth offers us unparalled comfort. You can add various side dishes to accompany the soto. I’d personally recommend you to order a freshly fried Tempe Panas.

Best Javanese meat soup! The soup broth is well seasoned and very delicious. They still use charcoal to cook the soto. Try also their condiments, sosis Solo, empal, kikil, sate telur puyuh, tahu goreng, tempe mendoan and perkedel. Best to come early since they usually running out of condiments if you come after 10am. Highly recommended for those who visit to Solo for the first time.

A friend invite me for breakfast here, the taste doesnt surprise me. Typical javanese Soto style, sweet. Delicious but not special for me since there is other Soto as well. I think it's the atmosphere which make this Soto iconic and legendary. Worth to try

As a fan of Soto, visiting Soto Triwindu during our trip to Solo was an absolute delight. I loved the restaurant's classic and simple ambiance, which gave me a wonderful vintage feeling all over again. The Soto itself was served with hot and refreshing broth, and a portion of beef Soto costs IDR 17,000. They also offer various fried snacks such as tempe, tofu, lentho, perkedel, bakwan, and mendoan as side dishes. Considering its location, this place is truly a hidden gem. It's definitely worth a revisit !

When we visit a city, having their heritage food is definitely beyond it's taste and looks. How we enjoy the years in the making, atmosphere and feel. Soto Triwindu taste may just ok, but their heritage far beyond the taste. A must place to visit. Pass the Triwindu market also to get the blast from the past and getting hidden gems artefacts.

Came in here early and it was already packed with people. The soto they sell dont look like a typical soto like i know, as the soup looks clearer compared to the yellowish broth i normally found in jkt. Tasted very nice though!! It was warm, flavorful, and feels very comfortable to eat under the cold morning rain weather. Not to mention that the price is affordable and the service was quick. we legit only have to wait ~5 mins for all order to came out. 😄 one thing to notice: they dont provide qris/transfer/card payment, which is not really tourist-friendly. Make sure that youre ready with cash when youre here 😉

Excellent choice, aside from Soto Gading, to taste Solo's traditional Soto. I really enjoy their traditional tables and seatings. Even though it would be mostly crowded, at any given time, but it worths the taste and experiences!

Delicious beef soup with rice. Could ask for the rice inside the soup or on separate bowl. Very affordable price and fast service. Simple place so don’t expect too much of cleanliness.

One of the legendary Soto in Solo. The Soto is great, it's perfectly seasoned and the broth are amazing. Besides the Soto, this place also provide some side dishes such as tempeh, tofu, and many more. The worker here are friendly and ready to help. The price is affordable as well.

Come with full stomach, so we ordered just for tasting. Still feel delicious even tho little bit too salty for me. You can order with or without rice. Overall so nice. I ordered gula asem for beverage, cold one. It's so delicious.

they have a clear, meatball-like type of broth. it has light and delicious taste. i personally don’t really like this type of soto, i prefer the one with coconut milk. one portion of rice and soto with ice tea cost only 20k-ish.

Great beef soup with rice. The flavour of the broth was exceptional. Filled with locals, this restaurant is like going back in time, I don’t think the furniture has ever been replaced which adds to the charm. 18k for a portion which is very reasonable. Would recommend if in solo. The tempeh is also very tasty.
