An amazing way to experience “Wayang Orang” in Solo.. a bit sad how these cultural gems are not being taken care of by the government. Expect it to be really hot in there, with tickets ranging from IDR 5000 to IDR 10,000 and shows changing every night.

Although the Sriwedari Park is permanently closed but we can still enjoy this Wayang Orang show (tickets are 10k Rupiah/person). Super comfy indoor venue with AC (no smoking allowed). Usually the show starts at 8PM until 10PM. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. Parking fee 5k for cars and 2k for motorcycles.

Tamanya adem, banyak pepohonan dan disediakan tempat duduk jadinya asik buat nongkrong, lokasinya dekat dengan beberapa Fasilitas kota seperti mall, hotel, stadiun, Pusat kuliner, dan tempat bersejarah lainnya.

taman wisata rakyat. walaupun ada entrance tapi ga ada entrance fee. di dalamnya banyak pedagang kaki lima dengan panggung pertunjukan yang biasanya diisi oleh penyanyi-penyanyi lokal. saat weekend pun tidak terlalu ramai untuk ukuran taman kota. tapi so far tidak terlalu menarik kecuali memang kau penikmat lagu yang sedang dimainkan di panggung pertunjukan atau memang mau cari makan.

Taman Sriwedari atau Kebon Raja. Semoga tetap ada dan terpelihara. Menjadi sebuah legenda di Kota Solo.

See the wayang show at night. Very good. Although the show in bahasa java but still very nice

i visited there when there was a stage, sendratari ramayana in full story. the dancers are professionals as well as the choreographer and the script writer, they made the story alive... congrats. maybe a performance like that can be held regularly. but the park itself its different from years ago. i hope the city government can make the park alive again, just like the old days

This is a free show and a good cultural experience, even if you don't speak the language. There are a few chairs on the far stage left side if you arrive early; otherwise, most people sit on mats on the ground. You can take pictures with the cast afterward if you want.

It used to be a zoo and place to watch film and wayang orang (human puppet show). Now we still can watch wayang orang and there are some deers walking around freely. Need better management and upgrade.

Saddened that this place is closed, but at least they still give showings of Wayang Orang.

Its surprisingly comfy, but sound system is not too clear for actors on the stage.

This 1 star is for the facility in wayang orang performance They should improve the mic quality and quantity Visitors couldnt hear the performers properly because the background music dominated the whole performance Its better for every performers have their own mics Last year they prepared the summary for every scene on projectors in English and Bahasa But last week they didn't prepare for it Even though there were tourists from abroad Well.. it is definitely 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the performers and tradisional music play. They really played well Thanks
