Recommended by a friend who said this restaurant makes the best Sate Kambing & Tengkleng, and it's true. The taste is so unique compared to the others, yet it's so delicious. Some tips: do not come on a lunch break. The place isn't clean, many people throw tissue/straw on the floor. Bring your own hand sanitzer and wipes. The place is quite hot due to the smoke. Most of the staffs do not wear masks. Many available parking slots in front of the restaurant.

Their specialty were on lamb satay and tengkleng (you can choose spicy / rica rica or non spicy one), quite fast they provide it will take no longer than 15 minutes. The room was spacious but during lunch time can be a bit crowd. They have toilet and mushola too. The taste was nice, affordable price and quite fast to serve. Recommended to try this local cuisines.

Lion Air Stewardess recommended this place as her favorite. This is straight-up Indonesian street food on a larger scale- like seats 100 or more and will be very busy as the locals love this reato. BUT if you can’t eat street food avoid. I thoroughly enjoyed it- real authentic and the sauce was unbelievably good. Meat quality not real high, but again, it’s street food. Not sure I’d return but am glad I experienced it! Salt of the Earth employees and customers- simply wonderful.

One of my favourite place in Surakarta (Solo). Must drop by to this local street food whenever I come to Solo. My favourite menu is Sum Sum Kambing and tengkleng rica rica. Must try also their sate kambing & sate buntel. Quite pack during lunch timw. Can try to come during morning or late evening. Kecap lombok gandaria the best!

The place is large, a lot of table / seating available. It is quite hot though. The service is very fast. You sit at any available seating then the server will aproach your table / seating. Ordered sate buntel campur (2 sate buntel and 3 sate) and 1 portion of tengkleng rica. Surprisingly all the food and drinks comes very fast (within 5 minutes). The tengkleng is tender, have a sweet taste it was great. The sate buntel is very tender. A bit chared at some spot but no worries. It's flavorful served with sweet soy sauce. Sate kambing is tender. Swrved with sweet soy souce. Overall it's great food and fast service. Very recommended

Tried the lamb, not the beef. Huge portion. I think one plate can be shared with 2-3 people. I didn't quite like it, too sweet for my palate, too aggressive and barbaric for my stomach and my sight. It's not bad though. The place is huge and basic, a tinned roof hall, one is outside facing the street, and another small one is in a normal room. The service is good and fast. It's quite pricey. I just enjoyed seeing the cooks preparing the food outside and watch the locals interact.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Solo! We ate their Sate Buntel and Tengkleng Rica. We actually love their Sumsum Rica based on our past visits, but it's hard to get it due to their popularity. We never miss our chance to eat in this restaurant when we are in Solo. The place was not comfortable in previous years, but they expanded their eating area massively that makes it more comfortable to eat here, yet it's a bit hot eating here since they are outdoor without air conditioner. The most important thing is that the food here is so good! Make sure you order their rica dishes that makes this more special than other kambing restaurants. The rica dishes is a must! Yet, the sate buntel is not our favorite because they are still gamey. Don't be afraid to explore their other dishes because they're all so good!

I know this place since around 2015. The taste, the place, the price changes. But the taste is still good and delicious. The meat is so tender. I recommend to order rica, tengkleng seger, and sate buntel. FYI sate buntel is a lamb satay which meat is minched and wrapped by the lamb fat. Cooked above the hot charchoal. One you must improve is to shorten the food for came out. We wait for around 1 hour to food to be served on the table. After all it is 4 out of 5 rate. Good taste.

If you are big fan or not a big fan of satay, you still need to come here to try their satay kambing and tongseng and also their satay buntel, its really really delicious! The seating area is big inside, no aircon, a bit hot but still okay, not much parking space outside, so need to consider where you park if tyou bring your car. The price still reasonable, and yes this place is highly recommended

The Thengkleng is very delicious. It's very rare that you find lamb this smooth. Hardly can taste the usual lamb scent. Try the lamb satay as well. So soft and juicy. Overall it's highly recommended. A good spot to visit if you're in Solo.

The meat has no strong goat/ sheep smell and well spiced, yummy! Portion is really good. Fast and nice service. Nice live band singing javanese pop songs. Big space with many people. I especially like the sate buntel and tengkleng rica. It opens until 8pm, good for dinner.

This restaurant is the heaven for all mutton/lamb anthusiast. They have everything ranging from sate, tengkleng rica, tengkleng kuah, sum-sum (Bone marrow) Rica, barbecue ribs, sate buntel down to nasi goreng kambing. The portion is quite satisfying, the seasoning is spectacular and you can even choose the spicy for dishes like tengkleng rica and sum-sum Rica. We (me, my wife and mother-in-law) ends up ordering everything out of curiosity and manages to finished all of it in the end. That goes to show how good the dishes are. A word of advice, should you order nasi goreng kambing to go, be warned, cause the portion can feed 3 persons easily 😂. I'm not joking, it was that huge. Should you find yourself in Solo, spare some time to definitely try this restaurant.

I ordered sate buntel, gule, and sate kambing. Those were okay, nothing special, not as good as I thought it would (cause people said this place is recommended and legendary). Sate buntel and sate kambing were overly sweet. Gule is tasteless. Price is kinda expensive, but I guess all satay places in Solo with those kind of menu have similar prices.

This restaurant is very crowded, but the taste is average for me. I had Sate Kambing and Thenkleng Rica2, quality of meat is normal and taste of Kecap manis too much.

The best food I've had in years! Perfect if you want to eat deliciously sinful food. Cooking time is a bit long but it's worth the wait. The portions are large.

Ordered tengkleng, krengsengan & sate buntel and I’m only recommending the sate buntel. Everything is ok but it’s so plain, you will only taste kecap and the meat is kinda tough.

The place so hectic during lunch time, there's no place to park if you bring car,only in the sideways. We eat sate kambing buntel and tongseng kambing. Sate kambing was to dry for me but sate buntel was okay,it's got a little smell. Recommend for tongseng,the portion big,the meat is tender and it doesn't have a smell at all.

One of the best sate buntel. The place is quite big (around 50+ people), clean but a bit smoky. Even the price is quite expensive, the meat is tender while the taste is authentic with lots of herbs. The portion is quite big (suitable for 1-3 per menu).

During lunch time it will be very packed but the serving is still good and the food taste is great, reasonable price too.

The food is delicious, price ok. Bit crowded. For takeaway I just waited for 15 minutes and the food is ready. Good that the staff asked spicy or non spicy for nasi goreng (fried rice). I told non spicy and they prepared accordingly. The staff can understand english and speak simple words also which is helpful.

we were directed here by one of the cafe employee we visit in Solo this is the place to find sate kambing, sate buntel, tengkleng, tongseng.. basically all the food with lamb ingredient. although the place was super hot, but the services are fast. our food order come breezily, our drinks order also come up fast. foods are delicious, drinks are refreshing. will visit again if we come back to solo. don't forget to try the traditional ice cream in front of this place. they're super nice

Who doesn’t know these legend sate kambing stall at surakarta (solo). Big bite size, meaty, lot of spice, great taste, fast service and also big portion each. Worth to buy if you love sate kambing & other menus related to kambing. I recently order the Package of sate kambing & sate buntel, thengkleng rica & portion of rice for idr.125.000,-. The portion of sate & thengkleng quite sufficient for 3 persons.

Tongseng Kambing was so good! I like the sauce! Sate is also good. A bit expensive than I expected. The place is quite hot inside but it's okay.

One of the oldest sate kambing spot in solo...tried tengkleng segar this time...brought back oldies memory...nice...light broth with slight hints of coconut milk n serundeng...for sate kambing...moderate taste...a bit chewy textures...perhaps they use adult lamb instead of young one...
