My friend and I went on vacation to solo. We saw several food recommendations and one of them was this rawon. It's right next to the prison. The place is not too big. The menu offered is only rawon, want to use salted egg or not. The rawon served is mixed with rice. On the table, sprouts, basil leaves and various side dishes are provided. In my opinion, the rawon taste is lacking, it is not too thick, it is better if it is given chili, the portion is not too much and the price is not too expensive. Served not too hot. Pretty good for overalls! cash only payment.

It's a warung not a restaurant, so manage your expectations. The Rawon itself is flavourful, good amount of seasoning. You can see the beef but a bit chewy. I love it when the soup is dark & not too watery. A side dish of salted egg is a must for me when eating Rawon. Add some raw beansprouts & chilli & you're good to go. The location is interesting, right at the east of the city prison. You'll see the prison wall, but don't expect to see any inmates. If you are a clean freak, please don't come here because then you'll knit picked everything that is wrong, which is not actually wrong in the first place as I have told you it's a warung not a restaurant. Street food is great, though not always very clean, it contains the spirit of the city. It's part of cultural heritage.

Stall is located next to a prison, hence the name. Love their rawon, a bit on the sweet side, just how I like it. Portion is just right. Price is affordable, I paid ~35K for 2 portions incl. beverages. Will def be back!

Sweet taste rawon with crunchy Tempe and savory Perkedel (Plain Potato Patties). The Sambal makes it more delicious. With a cheap price, you will get good rawon.

Very nice rawon although it is a little bit sweet, but the spice is strong, which is good for rawon. The beef is also tender and moist, full of flavour.
