Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found The Sunan Hotel to be clean, inviting and downright classic! Not a big fan of the old style room, but the staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Solo.

Very cozy room, fairly nice service, nicely situated. There's something bothering. Told the cleaning staffs that the toilet was stuck. Still haven't fixed till I checked out two days after.

Old hotel, but the facilities and furniture is well maintain. The bed need to replace with new one. The hotel location is good. There is wedangan place near the hotel, nice place to try traditional food and drink.

Spending two nights when this hotel hosting Asian Paragames event, thus we felt festive ambiance of the event by the touch of Asean-ornaments. The part I like the most was the food, the choices, the taste, and I like the local menu such as nasi liwet, jamu, pecel, etc. The staffs are so friendly and helpfull.

It's an old hotel, but already renovated. A bit pricey, better booked thru online travel agent. Better discount. Room ok, clean, staffs were friendly and helpful. Pool quite large. Food, was ok.

It is an old hotel. But we didn't mind at all. It's clean and nice. Location wise, it's not in the city, quite a drive to/from the crowds. Near tol road exit/entrance, so it's convenient. Has big pool. Has a gym which was our fave. The location of the gym was quite hidden in the basement. Breakfast was superb. They even have a Jamu Station complete with the "mbok jamu" who will mix the jamu for you. We enjoyed out stay here very much.

The Sunan hotel is an old hotel but with strategic location in Solo. Actually the age of the hotel shouldn't matter at all. But since we are staying near the year end, we found that this hotel might not be prepared of the increase in the number of guests staying. For example, we checked in at 3 p.m. and the towel is not yet ready. Well, this is a 4-stars hotel, and when you say that the guest can check in, all amenities in the room should be ready. Hope to see some improvement on this side, particularly on the peak season.

It was a great place to stay with great breakfasts menu 😋. Indonesian Soto menu differs daily such as Soto Banjar on that Tuesday was yummy and then Soto Kudus the next day.

This is old style hotel located just 20 minutes from airport. The room is clean, neat and comfort with tea maker and shower utensils. Rate is relatively acceptable for the service given.

I was stay in this beacaus there is an event from my company. I stay about 2 days. In my view 'bout this hotel, the room is kind of small and there is no balcony. That's a problem for smoker. But i think the service is good enough. In this hotel also there is a clean swimming pool for childs & adults, gym. But Overall good for this hotel, just for me minus on a small room and not smoking able

This is one of the finest hotel in Solo. I really appreciate for the best hospitality and service. The hotel provides best room and also food. Supported by the friendly roomboy and staff, pretending the guest as Family and feel comfort as in own home. The architecture was amazing, with two towers and best hall. All the facilities are in best condition. The security was also number one, protected the guest from every single crime and uncomfortable things. After all, this is the best hotel I ever stay in Solo.

Our kids love the pool. The food that served for breakfast was good.

If it wasn't for an official event at this hotel, I wouldn't be staying here. come in the middle of the night, no one to look after. I have to wait for the receptionist. Worse, the pillows and bolsters are very smelly.

the bathroom is slippery, the bathtub is cracked, the shower is very old so it looks dirty, stingy with mineral water but wasteful with the use of lights which are not useful

Amazing building and great room, breakfast was very good and the overall service was nice. However the experience was disrupted by cigarette smell , i booked the non smoking floor but throughout the evening i could smell cigarette smoke, it stopped at night and resumed in the morning. It was really bad since i stayed with my 2 yr old daughter and my husband was a non smoker. The hotel management should be more aware of this kind of issue.

Overall, it's a good experience staying here. No time to explore the hotel itself since spent most of the time exploring the city instead.

stay at here for a night... but that's good experience .. i like the interior room, the clean, for deluxe room that has a bathtub, good soundproof, and also the security.. not everyone can enter elevator, hmm i like this part.. menu of breakfast are not bad.. all of them is tasty.. good hospitality, owh almost forgot they have a pool too, gym... that's all..
